Generally I like Frisch's, but this is one of the most poorly run restaurants I have ever been in. They constantly under staff the place. The last time we were in there for 15 minutes without a waitress even looking at us. We flagged down the manager and told him. Instead of him helping us out he ran off to find a waitress. We left. We have had other similar run experiences with a skeleton crew trying to take care of a full restaurant. I think this place needs a management overhaul. read more

A classic burger done right with all the essentials. The menu has thousands to choose from you cant go wrong. The savory taste of the burgers, the crisp sweet potato fries, and the vanilla coke is a must have. The vegetable soup is great and i couldn't leave without getting a hot fudge cake. Its to literally die for. I love the dry ridge location, its the only establishment that makes you feel like family instead of just a customer. As one can expect, this Frishes restaurant is right on par with many others. Occasionally the food is good and made correctly. Sometimes they don't do such a good job with accuracy, and they really need to stop scrapping previously topped, sauce laidened meet patties on buns and serving them as plain. Of someone orders something plain, there is a good chance they don't like the texture or flavor of the toppings and is why they are requested in that manner. It only ends up costing them more time, energy, and creates a larger variance in food cost. When it is fresh and made correctly, it really has a good taste, and is a fairly good value for the product you receive. Their lack of consistancy would be their number one obstacle in preventing a four star review. They would really have to go above and beyond to get that fifth star. They do have a good selection of menus items and I would highly recommend stopping by in the morning for breakfast, as the breakfast bar is usually turnovered fast enough to prevent the foods texture to change while being held. I tend to stay away from the bar because I just prefer the French toast. Their french toast is one of my personal breakfast favorites, and goes great with coffee or chocolate milk. read more

I went through tonight and ordered a fried California combo With onion rings. they gave me grilled and said the breader wasnt working and I couldn't be accommodated for something like mozzarella sticks At least instead of the onion rings. This is the worst managed Frisch I've ever eaten at. I waited 37 minutes from the time i pulled up to the speaker to get my order. When I complained someone shouted"It's Friday. We're busy". The last 4 times we've been there (with in 3 months) it has been horrible. The COVID process they have in place is not working for them- you wait at the front to order & tip before you ever get to a table which I think is silly. This most recent time we got there at 5 pm with a pretty empty restaurant and only 1 family in front of us... we weren't spoken to for 23 minutes. We even called the phone to get someone to come to the front but they ignored the ringing phone. My kids eat breakfast for dinner and you could just tell that everything they had was left over from the breakfast bar- at this point it was 6 pm it should have been made fresh by this time. We finally leave and realize we left my daughters toy after we had already gotten home. I called 4 times to see if they would put it away so I could get it the following day but again NO ANSWER. I had to go back and run in to get it luckily our table from 45 minutes ago still hadn't been cleaned so it was still there... we will not be returning again. read more

We live very close to this restaurant and have given it try after try. The service is consistently abominable. We laugh every time we go because we keep thinking, surely it can't be that bad this time. The staff acts like the customers are a bother, they seem clueless about the menu, and it's slow, slow, slow. Every single time! Not one time has this location ever gotten an order correct. I keep giving them chance after chance but no more! Got home with my order Friday night and part of the order was missing. Went back up and asked if there was a manager I could speak to and was told there wasn't one on duty. What restaurant doesn't have a manager on duty through all shifts???? I informed the cashier that I hadn't received all of my order and she blamed it on being short staffed due to Covid. I called her out on it saying that this has been an ongoing problem for years. She apologized, reluctantly and had what appeared to be a manager come to the register to put in the missing part of my order. She didn't say one word to me. Any decent business would offer a refund or credit. Didn't apologize, didn't ask what the problem was, nothing. Got home and the order still was not correct. The fish dinners we ordered by this time were not only cold but totally disgusting. Worst service, worst food from any establishment I've ever been to. Been to 3 different locations within the last 6 months and all would score zero if that was a choice. Same situation at all three, one in Liberty Township, one in Milford and one at Cincinnati Dayton Rd, West Chester. Walk in past "help Wanted " sign( bad omen already), wait at the podium to be seated and look around, not crowded( either lunch or dinner time), another bad omen, see most tables with dirty plates etc still on tables, ( yikes),wait few more minutes and finally get seated. Notice only one or 2 servers on duty and who knows how many in the kitchen. Long story short, long time to get waited on , long time to get food, food cold, and long time to pay check. At one location even the server said he would not come back here if you are smart. Walked out of the other due to waiting for food and third one finally got check paid by the restaurant due to just plain lousy service. Suggestions: 1. Quit trying to have something for everyone. hamburgers/sandwiches made who you are and it would still work. Staff the place and especially the kitchen. If you want to be everything to everybody make sure the kitchen can handle it. 2. Go to Chick Filet to watch their business model. 3. If you want to have that many items talk to Cheesecake Factory and see how they do it even though I believe no place can make all those items in a satisfactory manner read more

The breakfast bar is my favortie. They have a good selection and good food. There is something to say about cleanliness and the staff. It seems like the waitresses could do a better job at coming around more often or maybe they can have more staff waiting on people. read more

The Independence Frisch is one of the worst, but if you go to other Frisch locations they are all about the same. People need to start reading these reviews and staying away. They hire people that probably could not get jobs elsewhere, so until you stay away not spend your money Frisch has no reason to change. You don't think Frisch knows what's going on at all there locations. The Frisches in Fairfield is amazing however the mainliner on Wooster Pike is the absolute worst. Food was terrible! Onion rings undercooked and my sons buffalo bites were hard as rocks. Well we decided to come back and low and behold you let us down again. I ordered sweet potato fries and a chicken wrap. The sweet potato fries were super burnt, i'm surprised they had the balls to bring them out AND my tortilla on my wrap was so greasy it was see through and everything fell out because it was swimming in ranch. The waitress didn't even come back to our table for 15 minutes and I finally had to just go to the register. They didn't offer to get me anything else, didn't apologize or anything. Your service and managers are the worst. The only reason the delhi location gets any business is we're having in restaurants. So disgusted. Terrible, terrible customer service and disgusting food. My step daughter worked there and the stories that she's told me about what goes on in that kitchen and the pictures I've seen. You guys shouldn't even be in business. Frisch' restaurants have gone down hill. We came to a different location 3 months ago and walked out after not being greeted and asked for our drink order after 15 minutes. We came to the Independence, KY location to give the franchise another chance and nothing has changed. The restaurant is not busy, we waited 15 minutes to have someone come to our table and get drink orders. When I asked for the manager, they were unable to come out. While I enjoy the food, I can no longer give Frisch's my business, nor can I recommend them to anyone. Service comes first! read more

I just returned from this location after going back to retrieve missing food from a drive through order. Over half of the order was missing when my daughter arrived home so I went back to speak to the manager. Had she tried any harder she could not have been more rude. Not once did she apologize for their mistake (when my daughter questioned the drive through worker as to whether her order was complete he said "there is no other window...you're done"). This same incident happened to me last month at Dewey's and they could not have been nicer. The comped the entire order AND gave me a $25 gift card for my trouble. This lame excuse for a manager (where do they find these dolts?) couldn't even muster an "I'm sorry". That was my last trip to the Independence Frisch's. read more

This is hands down the worst restaurant in the chain. How this place remains open is beyond me. I've tried this place several times over the last 3 years and I must say the staff and food is way below acceptable. The staff, and there appears to be a sufficient number, are rude and mostly missing in action. My last visit (it will be my last), was at 7:40 am. There was 1 other customer in the whole place. The staff was milling about and I was easily seen but not greeted. One guy was installing some paper towels and looked at me several times. He seemed to be having trouble with his installation but he finally finished and only then came around to "greet" and seat me. Yes it was only a few minutes wait but he made it clear that the paper towels were far more important to him than a customer. The breakfast bar was all but depleted and I mentioned it to him. He said he'd get someone to restock it and clean it up. I waited a while but no one showed up so I picked out what I could and found that it was mostly cold. The waiter and other staff was completely absent from the dining room and never even showed up to present a bill. I went to the register and after at least 3 minutes the man who seated me brought out his ticket, threw it on the counter and, without a word, disappeared back to the kitchen. A young lady then came up and took my money. I've previously had several meals here at different times and, on each visit, the wait staff and food was equally as bad as this visit. Frisch's management needs to take a good look at this place and make some needed changes or shut this place down. read more

My experience at the Big Boy on Harrodsburg Rd in Lexington was not one that was enjoyable for the few minutes I was in the facility. I placed a pick up order because I didn't have time stop in restaurant, order and wait. Unfortunately when I got to the restaurant I still had to wait ... for 1- some one to come to the register to let them know of my carryout order and 2. I still had to wait on it after telling them when it was already suppose to be ready per the time I was given on my email. As I was waiting at the counter for someone to greet me, in the corner two servers were arguing about how many tables each had had, and never once asked if I had been helped. The line behind me grew longer of customers needing to be checked out, still no cashier... the bus person, who doesn't speak English is the one that seen the line and went and got the cashier. When I did receive my food the toast was burnt, very thin greasy bacon, and crunchy hash browns. Was not pleased with any aspect of my visit and will not be back. 1st and Last. The servers are amazing and the food is tremendous but the real one star rating here is the horrible management. Specifically Brian, who yelled at all these waiters for absolutely no reason when they do such a great job tending to all their customers, practically telling them they suck at their jobs.
