Even with that going on, the stadium still has a great vibe. It's a smaller, more intimate stadium. I'm excited to come back and see how everything looks once the renovations are finished!

We are lucky we live close by so we always bike here, so at least we can beat the traffic and the horrific price for parking. First year they ran out of gyros, no joke!!! Second year, no baklava sundae , ran out. This year, not enough that the prices skyrocketed, some vendors didn't even make an effort to print new menus, they literally just crossed prices and put whatever they wanted. Or, they wanted to go with the last year price but seeing all other vendors increased theirs... hmmmm ,, yeah !! Us too! We tried the gyro, no flavor, mediocre at best, so expensive , $12 for just the pita and the meat. No side, and they all wrapped up on trays, God knows how long they stay there. Lamb sliders and fries was our next choice, nothing special there either. Again, store bought slider buns and not enough meat, not tasty, fries also stay under a heat lamp, the frozen type of course. Like can you guys make some effort at least??? Fast paced, long lines, order, pay, GET OUT!!! We were not impressed at all. Best thing was the baklava sundae for sure. So... bye bye OPA! Greek festival. We had enough of your traps.

And unlike similar establishments, they take the time to help you one-on-one to create the best piece and experience possible. It's a great family friendly environment where you aren't limited to finishing your piece during a specific time or day. You can come back anytime you want until you're finished. They offer classes and camps over the summer and a ladies night on Thursdays. If you enjoy exploring your artistic side (even if you aren't very creative like yours truly) this is a fun way to feel like a Picasso and not have to paint by number. Yes, the parking situation was crappy but Melissa is a developing town and the infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, parking lots, etc.) is also being built out at the moment. But there were plenty of neighboring lots that allowed anyone not arriving right at opening (8 am) to find parking! Small walk over to the Walmart lot where the event was so no big deal. The weather really showed up and was overcast with a breeze so the heat didn't feel quite as glaring as it could've! There were special edition hot wheels toy cars for sale, with a purchase of Mobil 1 oil. There was also a gazebo with hot wheels toys set up for the little ones to enjoy. Arizona tea was one of the vendors there. Plenty of photo ops for former hot wheels cars, an F1 car or two, and local cars that were signed up to show. Highly recommend for car enthusiasts, families looking for a morning activity to occupy the kids up until lunch, and anyone with dogs because we brought our pup! They didn't have bathrooms but the Walmart is fairly new still and they have actual bathrooms (way better than if port-a-potties were rented IMO. The event is free to enter and stroll around, so definitely worth the drive up from Dallas or anywhere in the DFW area really.
