Queso frito, carne asada, refried black beans ana a tortilla
    Bertha V.

We had never tried Nicaraguan food before, but had heard about it from a friend while visiting Miami. He recommended a couple of places but we decided this was the closest to us and so we came here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At first glance it doesn't look very appealing from the outside but once you go inside you know your are in the right place. It was packed with people picking up to go orders and on the other side of the place was a huge line of people waiting to order. The line moves pretty fast[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] .We didn't know what to order so we asked the gentleman in front of us what he normally gets. He told us a few of his favorites and so we sort of knew what to get. So you get to the front of the line and it's sort of like Panda Express you tell them what you want from the food in the containers. I chose gallo pinto which is rice and beans mixed together and also got fried pork which sort of tasted like Al pastor and I also got something that is similar to ropa vieja. My husband got the black beans and carne asada with a tortilla. Oh and they have queso frito which we both had .I also got fried plantains and we ordered a manuelita which is like a pancake with something sweet it tastes like pancake with lots of syrup, but not overly sweet. One of the workers came to or table and brought us something that was round almost like a small donut hole. Except it was dough and not to sweet . She said she didn't want us to leave without trying it. I am so happy that we got out of our comfort zone and decided to come and try this food. It was so good. Oh I almost forgot that they also serve you a salad not really a salad it's cabbage and carrots in a vinegar sauce. ( sort of the cabbage that goes on top of Pupusas) and they also have us a sauce which was not that spicy at all but it ha little pieces of diced carrots ana onion . I won't lie that I came home and started to look for Nicaraguan food places in my city. Because it was so good.

    Line wraps around!!!

Expect a VERY long line every time BUT these ladies work really fast and most importantly worth every bite! It does not get more authentic than this. [[HIGHLIGHT]]An incredible amount of energy as you step in, everyone finding their way in the door and finding their spot in line.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No matter what you order here it's finger licking GOOD. Portions a huge and prices are reasonably good! Once you get to the front of the line, you need to be READY, these ladies don't play, they're kind but with a purpose, to get through as many people fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a casual but fun dining experience![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The parking is a challenge. You def need to be patient on that one. Hands down the best fritanga in Miami!

What in the Latin America is going here?!?! Idk but the food is so damn good you would swear Abuela cooked it . I didn't understand a hot damn word but who needs to understand when all you gotta do is point. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the looks of it everything looks crazy like a mad house !! Freaking pandemonium everywhere![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That should have been the first give away that the food taste so damn good! The line was soooooooo packed no place to park OMG it was a mad house and a mad house for a very good damn reason!! This place gives life to the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover".If you love Latin food you gotta try this place! And be prepared to wait! And if you don't speak Spanish, google translate gone be your best friend. I hope ICE never finds them Gem , this lil whole in the wall. as the Latin ppl say DALE!!

Caña Brava is by far my favorite fritanga in Miami and I don't think I'm the only one that thinks that, as it's always full but welcoming. The attention you get from the staff here is always great. They're patient with you no matter how big your order is. I always get an order of enchilada, manuelita and carne asada. The enchilada they make here has been my favorite enchilada I've tried. It consist of rice and meat and it's very filling. The manuelita is like a sweet pancake with brown sugar. It is very delicious. I usually save this for breakfast for the following day. The carne asada meal is big and tasty. You can easily eat this meal for two days or share it with someone. I order the carne asada with gallopinto, maduro, queso frito and salad. The meat is very juicy, the gallopinto is very tasty, and the maduro with queso frito is a perfect pair. The coleslaw salad is also very good. Whenever someone tells me they want to have fritanga, I always suggest this place or bring them here. This will continue to be my go to fritanga.

Crazy, crazy and more crazy! Was the line of people there for some food. But the most impressive thing was the food was steaming hot, delicious and large portions. Parking is definitely annoying but that's a result of the amount of people that buy food there and the quality product they are making. Highly recommend you take your food to go because seating is a little uncomfortable due to the amount of people waiting in line. The "carne asada" is delicious, probably the best I've had in Miami. Meat was on point. The fried pork was also very good and juicy. Fried cheese was excellent. And the rice is in a league of its own. Listen place is not beautiful, and the lines are long! But the food makes you forget about that.

I was a bit hesitant due to the drive to come here. But I have to say it's well worth the drive and waiting inside. It's a somewhat small location and parking is a little challenging from how packed the place gets. Service takes a little long due to the demand from the area and also online orders. Once your attended your order is completed fast. However, you do have the owner running the register and that slows the process down. Once you get your food though, I can say the flavors of homemade Nicaraguan food are packed in the food. Makes me yell Viva Nicaragua. Everything was on point, not overly seasoned or salty. The rice was balanced with beans and wasn't mushy. The cheese was not great and didn't taste like your eating a block of fried salt, it was crispy and a good size amount. The green plantains were not stale, as I've dealt with in other Nicaraguan places, they taste fresh and were crispy. The kicker was the meat, full of flavor and not chewy or burnt, you get 2 big slices and it's a meal big enough for 2, depending in how hungry you are. The tacos were ok, not that crunchy and I wasn't expecting chicken. Not something I would order again personally. The Cacao was on point, not overly sweet and blended well.. it's wasn't pure ice and just a small amount of drink which was great. I would definitely come back and eat here again. Inside has a good amount of tables to sit down and eat, and the ambiance makes you feel like your in the motherland.

Really good fritanga! This place does get packed, especially on the weekend. Parking is limited, and it does fill up quickly. The staff is friendly enough and the restaurant is very clean. My only complaint is that they don't give you receipts, so you don't know how much you're being charged. Kinda weird.

One of the best fritangas in Miami! Small parking lot. Good amount of seating inside though! Service is pretty fast and accurate! Food is always on point and tastes amazing and never disappoints!

Pretty bussin steak with rice that I got from here. Grilled excellently and the white rice still packed a lot of flavor.

Let's start with the mojito that came with such a large piece of sugar cane. It was so good! The waiter recommended my meal and it was delicious. The meat was tender and well seasoned. It also came with beans and rice. One meal was probably enough for two people! The restaurant is located on the 4th floor of the outdoor mall near some neat shops. I loved the restaurant decor and everyone was so friendly. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and gave great menu recommendations. The staff was attentive, stopping by to refill our water and clear plates. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Stopped in with my adult daughter and wife, looking for an authentic Cuban food experience…read more The restaurant is fine, nothing great, but nice. The server was a bit disappointing though she warmed up during the meal. Just came across as aloof and wasn't overly helpful when I shared that we wanted a variety of their best dishes. We ordered the boniato al carbon appetizer which really is a must try. The charcoal on a sweet potato just hits. Balances out the sweetness perfectly. The Ropa Vieja is good - not great. The black beans and rice however were perfect and they balanced out everything we ate. The Cuban sandwich was what you'd want/expect it to be. Very nice The Cuban Fried Rice was the favorite dish for all of us. Everything in it was authentic and well done. What I appreciate about the food here is that nothing is over seasoned. I absolutely love spice but Cuban food isn't that. The food speaks for itself and they stay true to that
