My husband picked up food from here to eat at home. I didn't go inside so can't comment on the ambiance or service but the food was fantastic!!! The gallopinto was great, queso frito was a 10/10. Not much can be added, this place stands on its own and has no need for anyone's input, locals and Nicaraguans alike come and order tons of food. It may be a caveat if you are in a hurry, as the lines are long and service is slow. The plus, meats are charred while you wait, and grilled chicken is made to order. Apart from the very good flavors of the rices, there are many extra dishes that most fritangas don't carry. And the assortment of drinks, juices, and cheeses, is larger. You also have an option to go to a little store next to the restaurant. In the right side of the restaurant is where all of the seating is at if you wish you eat there. Today I'll make an exception. My carne asada, gallo pinto, and maduros were top notch!!! Among the best meals we ate this whole vacation. The steak was so flavorful, juicy, and tender that my pitiful plastic cutlery was easily able to cut it, while still inside its styrofoam container. The plaintains were the best I'd ever eaten, uniformly soft and lightly caramelized. Gallo pinto was perfect. I'm not sure how to review the cheese, it was kinda rubbery and squeaked when I chewed on it. I'm inclined to believe this was related to the whole delivery process. Great fritanga! We've been going to Yambo for years when a friend told us to try Pinolandia. We had to give it a try! Pinolandia has a couple locations and we tried the one in the Riverside area! There is plenty of street parking but beware the street in front of it get busy! Inside there's the food bar which you order from then there's a room to the right with plenty of seating if you decide to eat there. There is also a little market inside with yummy drinks, snacks and food. We ordered the carne asada, gallo pinto, queso frito and platano. We also ordered a side order of chicharron. The chicharron was a little dry but the portion was big! The food was great. Once portion is enough to share. I also really like the vinegar sauce we got, it's very tasty! Pinolandia has completely fallen off. What used to be a solid, filling plate is now a joke. They serve a pathetic scoop of gallo pinto and two tiny, rubbery pieces of steak that you have to fight to chew. The flavor isn't bad, but that doesn't excuse charging $18 for a plate that wouldn't even fill up a child. If you want an actual meal, you're forced to order two plates, which is outrageous. When I asked her she says that how machine works. WHAT???? Then she proceeds to say if you pay cash you don't pay sales taxes and the addition $1,00 won't be charged ? Pinolandia never fails me when it comes to fritanga! One, it's open 24 hours so you know they're reliable and always available unlike your ex. Yes the portions have gotten smaller throughout the years and prices higher but the flavor is just as delicious and it's still one of the top carne asadas for me. It's not overcooked, perfectly pink on the inside, tender and the plátanos are never burnt. The gallo pinto has loads of flavor and 2 can easily share a completa. Their picante can be spicier and the salad could have more vinegar but that's not what we came here for anyways. The taquitos here are also delicious and if you're feeling like having a full course meal, make sure to go to the back for a chia drink and grab a manuelita for dessert. read more

The food is great but the service is terrible. You have to fight with them to give you hot sauce. We order 4 order of steak and they will only give you one little hot sauce. Don't let them treat you this way. Get your hot sauce. We usually order on Uber eats for pickup. Apparently their policy is one hot sauce per order, not per steak. So moving forward we will place all of the orders separately in order to get one hot sauce with each order. Doesn't make sense that we have to do this. read more
