It is located next to Miami International. I have been to Nicaragua before and the food here is really good. I got the chicken breast with rice and plantains. Essentially, every time I've gone, whether it be early afternoon or later in the evening, there is minimal to no wait to place your order. I usually take my orders to go and enjoy them at home but they do have plenty of table seating inside as well. I've tried a lot of their food and all of it has been tasty. My favorite combo is gallo pinto, maduros, grilled chicken or carne asada. I get a piece of fried cheese too for extra. You can also ask for little hot sauces they make that add just a little bit of spiciness. The portions are generous and the prices are really affordable. They also have fresh juices/drinks available. My only complaint is that the food is always served like a little bit cold. But I guess it should be expected since it's pre made food that's not made to order. It also served with choice of fired or sweet plantains plus a cabbage salad. All that was for $12. I also got fried cheese for $2 more. That fried cheese was so delicious. The hot sauce they gave me was good on everything. My friend said I supposed to put that on my cabbage salad but I actually put that all over my rice and beef. The food was not the best but I gave this place 4 stars coz it was well served its purpose as a cafeteria. Grab it, eat, and leave. Nothing fancy and you cannot compare this place with a regular dine in restaurant asking for a hot meal with service. I have been going to the location on Miller at 137th Ave. for about 15 years and I can tell you that the quality of food has declined tremendously. Not to mention that the presentation of the food is not appetizing at all. I tried their location on sunset I won 17th and the meat tasted as bad as it smelled. The plantains were in pieces and falling apart and completely greasy and the salad seems like they just drenched it in a barrel of vinegar. A must try is the carne asada and ensalada de repollo yummy! The repollo is a combination of cabbage and carrots shredded with vinegar and olive oil. The food is great here which is why I keep coming back plus it's not far from where I live. I can't stand the customer service from the ladies that serve the food and the cashier. Rude, get irritated if you ask them to add something to your order, and sometimes don't get the orders right. I happened to buy food there today with my aunt and she had asked them to add more cole slaw to our orders. The ladies said no, there aren't any more of the cole slaw. My aunt saw a lot of them sitting on the counter. My aunt asked the cashier about why the ladies lied about the cole slaw. The cashier said he can't give us more because the place was busy and there needed to be enough for the other customers.. even though we were gonna pay for it. What an example of poor customer service. Tried to place 3 delivery orders today with 3 credit cards. And was told by the man who answered the phone that he could only do 1 order for cash and 1 for credit card because it waiting be easier for him. Forget what would be easier for the customer. We have been placing orders with them for the last 3 years at least once a week. They could have taken our orders this time and told us that from now on...... 1 and 1.
