Outside of From Across the Pond. I should have taken it from the other side to show the patio by the gazebo. Oh well.

Such a good, fun pub. One of my favorites. I always like the inside but their patio is really cute on a nice day. We stopped in for a pint of beer and didn't eat this time, but have always found their food to be surprisingly good. Not many places around that actually lean into British pub food. Just a fun place and we have always had great service. Sometime a bit slow if they are really busy, but overall really good. I don't have a ton to add from my review a few years ago, but From Across the Pond has definitely become a favorite of ours. I took a picture of the outside so I wanted to add it. I should have taken a picture of the patio but got distracted and didn't think about it...oh well, another time.

I've heard of this place before and it's been on our list to visit. We knew it was featured on Restaurant Impossible and they've done quite well after. So we set out on a Sunday afternoon. From outside it doesn't really jump out at you because it's tucked into a strip center. As soon as we walked in though....wham!!!!! We felt like we were in London. Never been but have a trip to Great Britain year so this is our trial for the food. Sydney was our waitress and was amazing. Very friendly, helpful and checked in on us to make sure we didn't need anything. Started with the taste of Britain sampler. It comes with a scotch egg ( liked it and the crispy outside), the sausage roll (loved it!!!! That sausage was scrumptious), cheese and crackers and a really tasty pickle salad dish that I happened to love! My wife ordered the fish and chips and the portion was huge. I stole some and the fish was perfectly cooked and loved the crisp batter. The fries were even good too! I had to try the cottage pie (although we've always called it shepherds pie). Again a huge portion and I took half home. It was everything g I hoped it would be! The potatoes were nicely seasoned and loved the meat pie! We didn't have room for dessert but will come back to try. Also, I had envy of the tables that ordered the onion rings. I will come back at least to order those. They looked amazing!!!!

With the weather being so nice outside, I have been thinking about From Across the Pond. We go there in the winter to get a pint or their fish and chips with I really like, but with the weather being so nice we were trying to think of good patios to go to. And there are not as many nice patios around as I think there are when we start thinking of good places to go. From Across the Pond has a great patio on a little quiet gazebo area. I took a picture of the patio a while back when I was there. It was a cold day that day so I didn't sit out there, but man with some nice spring weather it is perfect. This place is really a gem with a fun unique personality within Colleyville.

My mom and I are anglophiles at heart, so we were excited to get some traditional awful British food. We were both surprised and pleased when the food was actually good. The staff here is so friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that there is no seasoning on the food. Maybe there is salt and pepper on the tables, but we sat outside with my corgi so we didn't have any. I'll still come back

As someone who's gluten-free, this spot was such a great find! I finally got to try a scotch egg for the first time, and it was such a memorable (and delicious!) moment. I also ordered the gluten-free fish and chips--the portion was huge, the batter had a unique twist but was still really tasty, and the fries were fantastic. Overall, such an awesome experience! The decor felt like being back in London and the servers were incredibly helpful! Highly recommend this place.

Excellent service. Cutest little place with touches of Europe. Food was so good. We came because they are 95% gluten free. Fish and chips was huge! Leftover fish reheats well in the airfryer. The highlight of our meal was the desserts but most of all the bread pudding. Holy wow. And gluten free!!! A huge thank you to the owners here for making food both healthy and fabulous! We can't wait to come back.

Cute little bar in a nice area. Inside isn't too big but there is an outside area for when the weather allows. This is a British themed restaurant and there are no televisions mounted on the walls for sports watching - so you are gonna have to make small talk with your friends when you go. The server was great and super attentive. I really liked her friendly demeanor. I ordered the sampler appetizer and was overall disappointed in the offerings. The selection of cheeses was good but the amount of crackers served with them was poor and was generic American club crackers. (Cut rounds of French bread would have been amazing). The sausage roll was great and also good was the addition of a pot of Branston pickle - something you don't see anywhere in America! Lol. Not so good was the dry pickled vegetables - a pot of piccalilli would have been better or even some pickled onions? Additions that I would also liked to have seen - a few chipolata sausages, sliced apples, celery sticks, pat of butter, sliced cucumber??? Lastly the Scotch egg had potential but sadly it was over cooked.

Had a craving for real pub food and went to Yelp. Found FATP in Colleyville and made the drive. It was well worth the trip. We had the sample platter of appetizers which was great, followed by fish and chips and steak and ale pie. Both were excellent. Maybe not quite as good as London but top notch for DFW. Place is clean, great ambiance and service was excellent. Highly recommend!

This is a Celiac's dream restaurant!!! Fish and Chips..... check! Onion rings..... check!! Will be back for more..... Absolutely! I was in town to support my Aunt coming home from the hospital and needed a good meal. As a celiac it is always comforting to find a restaurant that is "safe" to eat! Thank you From Across the Pond! I will be back and if you ever want to share your recipes, know a friend from Fayetteville Arkansas will treasure this yummy yummy yummy treat!

Good food and good prices - most items on the menu are under 13 and portions are large. I had the chicken dish with naan and it was tasty. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was chopped chicken and sauce over fries with naan to dip for 14.00. It was a large serving do I took 1/2 home. They have beers and one and mixed drinks as well We also got the scotch egg app and it was very good.

This is an update, as my first review was before they got the "Restaurant Impossible" treatment. We arrived for an early dinner around 5pm. We were greeted cheerily and seated promptly in a booth. The decor is more edgy than before, with black leather on the walls instead of the variety of photos and memorabilia as before. The look is clean and sophisticated. I loved the various salt and pepper shakers at each table. My companion and I both ordered the Fish and Chips, and I chose the Mushy Peas for a side. The fish was hot and tasty with a nice crispy coating, The chips were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside - perfectly prepared! The service was excellent - drinks were kept full and the server was very attentive to our needs without being obnoxious. We split a Sticky Toffee Pudding, and it was as del8cios as I remember from last time. I love this restaurant and so want them to continue to do well. We'll definitely be back!

Ask the Community - From Across the Pond

Will you be serving Rueben sandwiches this weekend?

You bet! Saturday and Sunday. See you soon. Cheers!

Looking for a good English Breakfast. Do they ever offer this as part of their menu or for special occasions?

Came for lunch and it's closed?is this permanent?

They're closed on Monday and Tuesday. They open at 11 am on Friday and Saturday and at noon on Wed, Thurs, and Sun.

Did this place move or is this a new location? They used to be in Hurst not far from NE Mall

They moved from the Bedford Euless Rd location in North Richland Hills ...right on that Hurst border by the mall ... to the Cheeksparger Rd location in Colleyville.

    What is bangers and mash?

Bangers are typically a type of English sausage. Mash is usually mashed potatoes.

Is there a place to learn their current hours or a way to reserve a table other than calling in? I know they have really specific times & the last time I called in they answered then hung up on us.

    Their Facebook page stays up-to-date.

    Do they have bacon buttys?

No, they have chicken tikka masala buttys.

Can the Scotch eggs be done gluten free?

Yes, the menu shows the gluten-free logo next to the scotch egg.

Do they still have live music?

Yes. They did when we went not long ago.

My Overall Rating - 3 1/2 Stars (5 Stars if you only care about service) Atmosphere - It's pretty electric. There is a large bar in the middle, tons of bar seating, and during my Thursday visit for lunch, it was packed. The vibes are good, and tons of TVs are showing sports. If you have an XY chromosome, this is your place. 1 Star. Service - Rowdy Cowboy is known for having great servers who are very friendly (and nice to look at). All tables were taken, so I sat at the bar. The bartenders were fast, efficient, and very friendly. They got my order wrong, but I don't care. Their friendliness made me not care. 1 Star. Food - Look, if you're here, you're not here for the food. I started with the Steak Frites. The steak was super tender but lacked seasoning. The shoestring fries were awesome and made the perfect pairing to the steak. I ordered the Brisket Sliders but ended up with Wagyu Sliders. I didn't mind because our bartenders were so friendly, but the sliders were just ok. Remember, this place is not known for the food. 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. Rowdy Cowboy knows exactly what it does well, and believe me it does it well. In fact, out of all the restaurants in this genre, Rowdy Cowboy has the friendliest staff. Yes, I will be back. 1 Star.
