I got the Panzanella with chicken and it was divine. Very filling. The bottle prices were excellent. My husband loved his dish, which was the risotto special... I believe it had seafood in it. Everyone really enjoyed their dishes and the portions were enough. They had an excellent bar menu, though we just stuck with wine. Our server was very attentive and had lots of recommendations. I loved seeing a traditional carbonara on the menu as well... Often, a restaurant will just make this with a cream sauce and call it "carbonara", which is so wrong that it makes my Italian ancestors turn over in their graves. Though I did not get the carbonara this time, I will certainly try it next time. We also saw waiters preparing the table side, Cacio E Pepe, which looked really fun, but ultimately, I felt it was priced more for the experience than the actual food so I did not get that. We had reservations at 8:15 but arrived at 7:45 (planning on waiting at the bar for our friends to arrive ) and they were able to seat us right away. We also got a welcome bubbly drink upon arrival which was such an unexpected, fun, and friendly touch! The servers are very professional, but down to earth. I would absolutely love to come back and try the chef's table.

We sat in the kitchen and got to meet everyone and see everything going out the door - it all looked amazing! My favorite was either the sweet corn pasta, the crab risotto with lobster tail, or the veal tomahawk and pasta. They were kind enough to box everything up because by the end I could hardly take more than a couple bites I was so full! I ate for 5 days!!! Would highly recommend!!!

Its so beat up and dirty I was like "WHAT am I getting myself into?" Walking in the space, it was better, but still had a very dive-y look to it. I figured this meant things would either be great or horrible. Glad to see it was the first! I ordered a (small!) Chicken gyro with onion rings. This thing was absolutely massive, to the point where I did not finish, and I was hungry! The sandwich was loaded with ingredients, and very delicious. The onion rings were good, but they needed salt or some kind of sauce and neither were available or given. Service was fast, but I overheard a guy say he saw a worker microwaving some ingredients so I dont know how I feel about that. Anyway, strange place but great grub, ignore the back entrance!

Legendary grilled cheese bar of Akron, complete with little umbrellas on each sandwich. You cannot…read moreeat these tiny umbrellas, but they do somehow make the sandwiches taste amazing, but again do not try to eat these small umbrellas they are inedible. I keep reading these reviews saying the sandwiches are dry. If you are lacking saliva be sure to ask your kind server for some extra sauce like ranch or blue cheese or something. The bartenders are like little fairy people and I don't know where they even found barbacks this good, they are like machine elves keeping the fabric of time weaving along. it's a marvel to witness these normal regular human people do their jobs with expert timing. It's hard to believe they are even real people at all, but perhaps inter dimensional beings sent to earth to teach us more about ourselves and feed us tasty food and bevs. The owner Danny B is a really cool dude and curates a selection of some vintage art films, bob ross, and other incredibly quirky things on the tvs, and the atmosphere is one of the most unique Akron-esque places you could hope to spend your precious time left here on earth. I've never been here before but I know it's a fairly popular place so I was quick to agree to the location. We originally sat at the bar but the stools were so incredibly uncomfortable, so we moved to a booth. While our server was nice, it did take her quite a while to come take our drink order. I got a "lavendar breeze" for my first drink and it was delicious. The menu is small, with the focus being on grilled cheese sandwiches. I'm not a huge grilled cheese lover, so I ordered a wedge salad (with house white French dressing) and the sauerkraut balls from the appetizer menu. The salad was on par with what you'd expect, the dressing was tasty. The sauerkraut balls, though, kind of threw me. First, it's a HUGE serving. There was around 30-40 sauerkraut balls in the basket; way more than I ever imagined would be in an order. I was expecting four or five golf ball sized balls. Maybe I've been spoiled by having some fantastic sauerkraut balls, but these were subpar, at best. They didn't have a lot of flavor and the cocktail sauce they served with them was an odd choice. While I still enjoyed time catching up with a friend and the drinks were well done, I doubt I'll come back for food. The menu just wasn't appealing to me and what I did have wasnt good enough to lure me back anytime soon.

The pizza was also very good. If you like a slightly doughy bite, you'll love it--the crust had the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Our server was attentive, friendly, and honest about portion sizes, which I really appreciated. I wish I had taken a picture of our food, but that just gives me an excuse to come back--and I definitely will! Looking forward to trying more dishes next time. It was pretty basic. Two peperoncini peppers and a radish adorned the top. There were four sticks of salami, no pepperoni or ham and the salad was covered with cheese. The salad dressing was on the light side and you could barely taste it, recommend you ask for it on the side. I ordered the sausage and meatball splash and my spouse had the rigatoni. Both entrées were just ok. The bread was great and served warm. Our waitress was attentive w/o being a bother. They finally accept credit cards albeit with a surcharge. I've had better meals in the past at Luigis.

The menu is very limited and there are so many upcharges. I do appreciate the happy hour pricing on weekends too though. Presentation is nice though. I ordered the confit wings $20 and they were really dry and so very un-confit like. I wanted to try 2 different sauces so the server said I can only do that if I get them on the side. But I know other places have much crunchier, juicier wings even plain. The sauces were just okay. No side of ranch and wish there were some carrots thrown in. Bonus points for having some fun board and card games stocked that you can borrow from the front! That was neat! BF is friends with a worker here and he was great! He was effusive, warm, solicitous and really helpful. If we go back here, it'll be for the brunch since that menu looked more interesting. I wish I would've asked for medium rare, but I just went with what was the norm. I wish the burger patty had been seasoned more. But other than that, the burger as a whole was really good. The truffle tots were amazing. The server was really attentive and nice. Another server came around to top off our waters. Overall it was a great experience! The restaurant is huge inside, with sleek and bright vibes. They have a big outdoor patio as well.
