Rather than be honest and explain the wrong charge, reversal that took him 15 minutes, and new one; he just said it was a computer problem. Only because we hailed the manager from another waiter, who begrudgingly hobbled over after awhile, complaining he was busy cooking, did our waiter then attempt to explain what actually happened. Manager's customer service and hospitality wasn't really becoming of the job. Irritated. Gruff. Unhelpful. Corporate oversight's needed here. These types of transactions are retail 101. Everybody makes mistakes. I make mistakes all the time and am generally very forgiving. It's how you handle them that makes all the difference. Get it together Ale House. Manager's a tool.

I quietly told the secret because my one son is a vegetarian and if he knew they were fried in the same oil he would be so mad at me. lol. The original location across the street had a classic smoke-filled dive bar atmosphere, and I could tell stories all day about memorable experiences there. Those stories are best saved for another time. The new location is unquestionably an upgrade in comfort and appearance, though it lacks some of the character and smoke that made the old place so memorable. Fortunately, the things that matter most remain intact. The beer is still ice cold, the drinks are solid, and the food is consistently above average at prices that are hard to argue with. This particular morning, I grabbed a seat at the bar and took advantage of their $5 breakfast burrito (available before 9 AM). The menu lists bacon or ham as protein options, but I was also offered sausage, which I happily chose along with the eggs and cheese. I'm glad I did. The sausage was nicely rendered with crisp edges that delivered little flavor bombs throughout the burrito. Wanting to dress things up a bit, I asked for pico de gallo. My server laughed and replied, "This is a dive bar," before offering salsa instead. Fair enough. The salsa, combined with a generous squeeze of their hot sauce, turned out to be exactly what the burrito needed. In fact, it was so good I briefly considered ordering a second one to go. Then I could practically hear my doctor whispering in my ear, advising restraint, so I reluctantly passed. For those unfamiliar with Hideaway, it's also a major Miami Dolphins fan destination. Whether you're a Dolphins fan or not, I highly recommend experiencing one of their game-day watch parties at least once. The atmosphere is electric and one of the more unique sports-viewing experiences around. My only minor gripe was being charged an extra dollar for the small container of salsa, and it wasn't even pico de gallo. Not enough to ruin an otherwise enjoyable visit, but enough to earn a raised eyebrow. Overall, a great breakfast, a little nostalgia, and a fitting way to celebrate a positive doctor's visit.

Although it was maybe 15 people in attendance ,I love supporting local businesses and the owner did a nice job with the place! Food was absolutely incredible. The 3 of us shared multiple appetizers before ordering our entrees and the food was 5 star. A southern soul flare with great seasoning ! Drinks were also very good even though I had a mocktail and they loaded up on some cocktails. We were all impressed. The lounge has spoken word monthly where local artist from central Florida ( even Duval and Tampa ) came to showcase their talents. It's not a Chris brown concert but it was nice to see different poets, singers and musicians share their love of art and music with us. Spoken word starts around 8:30pm and ends around 11:30-12. Entry is free so be courteous and order food and drinks to support the business. I wouldn't mind come back for a date night with my honey or another round of ladies night. Hopefully the lounge will have more patrons than the night we went.
