Dr. Aref Did a full set, both upper and lower porcelain dental implants, and he was amazing, kind, informative, and very professional. He took the time to explain the entire process and gave me options to make the best-informed decision. At each step of the process, he informed me as to what was to occur. Most of the work was done at the Fredricksburg office, and the staff, from the front desk to the dental assistants, could not have been more caring and great to work with. Getting a full set is a long and sometimes painful process, but it has given me the most beautiful smile. I highly recommend Dr. Aref, no matter which office you visit. I went to this group for a checkup and cleaning and felt totally scammed. When the X-rays were sent to my last dentist up in NJ, I found out that all the recommended periodontal work was unnecessary as well as all the dental work but for one small filling It's unconscionable that professionals try to take advantage of new patients . My wife had the same complaints as all the other "one star" comments. She also had a second opinion and with totally different results. The good news is, she doesn't need all that so called, required? dental work. Maby this place should be named, "Front Royal First Opinion Dental Stop." Receptionists are ill equipped for their jobs in public communication or any job in general. I also have never met a dentist that has less training in the realm of proper bedside manner than "Dr" Hesham Aref. Be prepared to be berated and accused of questioning ones clinical judgment if you simply ask a clarifying question on your own treatment plan. Forget your rights as a patient, because here at Front Royal Dental Group, the dentists fragile and weak ego is most important!! No regard for patients schedules, seeing as they frequently cancel last minute and come up with excuses that a 1st grader could out-do. Best place to go if you want to waste your time and are in the mood to deal with arrogant and poorly trained medical "professionals"! read more

One of the receptionists at this practice, Ellie, or Bully as I like to call her - has an unpleasant attitude. First when I arrived with my son for his appointment, she practically yelled at me to go to my car to complete a covid questionnaire. It was fine, because I like my car, so I went outside and waited. 12 minutes past his appointment time and I get a call saying that we can come back in. I sent my son back in for his appointment and almost immediately received another call that I needed to go in myself to answer questions. Inside... outside... make up your mind. So much for avoiding the tude. When I went back inside the receptionist asked me about extractions. Note there were no extractions scheduled or planned to be scheduled so I was a little alarmed at the mention of the word. When I mentioned this she argued with me about having said it in the first place and eventually said there will be no extractions today as if that was the end of the conversation. Great! We were on the same page. Disaster averted. Another big concern I had was when the dental hygienist looked at one of my teeth during my first visit, she told me it was "not worth saving". I had just purchased a root canal and crown less than a year ago for this tooth. I got all worked up but when the dentist came to look at the tooth himself he said there were no problems evident. How can one person be convinced your tooth cannot be saved, and then the dentist be convinced it's not an issue? Its obvious to me there is poor communication and an uneducated staff working at this practice. When the little voice in my head said this is ridiculous and enough is enough, I asked the receptionist how much money we had planned to spend with my family over the course of the next six months. The answer to that question was almost $9000. That's how much Ellie and the uneducated dental hygienist cost this practice. Hopefully if you read this you will think twice about ever having them even look in your mouth if you get past the reception desk. At bare minimum make sure they have the correct procedure scheduled for you. read more

Been going here for years but somewhat recently the staff has changed. The dentists are wonderful and all the hygienists also! But the front desk receptionist doesn't make us want to come back. She is not accommodating or tries to show any care in the least and has been rude to my mom. We've switched now. read more

Took my mom here, Dr Aref was sooo nice and took good care of her. It was an emergency situation so my mom was nervous and asked a LOT of questions, but Dr Aref was so patient and listened to her concerns. Overall, he made her feel relaxed and was very caring which meant a lot. His work was quick and efficient, she endured minimal pain. I highly recommend Dr Aref and this office, the staff was caring and made things go smoothly. read more

Dr. Aref does not want to spend time with patience explaining things, he over-prescribes all kind of treatments that are not necessary (I had to ask another dentist to find out if I really need them or not). I had no problem with the hygienists, they are nice. PS according to the front desk, Dr. Aref is the only dentist practicing in the office, but they have a different doctor featured on their website....go figure read more
