They wanted to nickel and dime you for any little thing or try to add something on the total and hope that you just pay it. And I say this because it's almost impossible to get a response from anyone here. Come my wedding, like the 2 weeks before, I needed questions answered but never got a response from anyone. I called, I texted, I emailed, and if I could smoke signal I would have, and still got nothing. My mom at one point tried calling as "new potential client" option on the phone & that's when they would answer. But after awhile they stopped answering all together. I didn't even have a bunch of questions or was even a bridezilla. The only time they would reach out by txt AND email was when they needed you to pay. I mean they just came off as greedy. They even tried to charge me an extra $1K for nothing. Like actually nothing, and I eventually got it taken off but that is so suspicious. Come day of wedding they didn't bother helping at all for anything. We had to bring everything off the trucks and set my reception up. The "free coordinator" was really only helpful to rush me the entire night bc we had to be out by the hr before we are supposed to leave. So that hr was money wasted, bc every hr we stayed later was $600 an hr. But yea the coordinator just rushed us the entire night and my husband & and I barely had time to relax. I mean I know that a wedding is supposed to be stressful, not "my day" bc whoever tells you that has never gotten married, but we barely got time to relax. The icing on the cake tho was that they closed the buffet super early and then threatened us that if we didn't leave before our time was or if there was ANYTHING they had to clean up, we wouldn't get our $500 deposit back. 3/5 because the only thing I actually enjoyed was my ceremony and the little food I got to eat. We also never got an announcement to do cake cutting. Like no one got to see us cut it, very depressing.

Just inside the iron gates are several patio areas and the facades of old-timey general stores and such. Inside the dance hall itself is a large dance floor, amply picnic seating (on two floors) Texas flags and sparkly celing lights and plenty of wall kitsch like posters of John Wayne. The bar is fully stocked and you can hire your own caterers. The hosts of our party had hired Bill Miller's BBQ to cater and they did a great job. The bartenders were quick and friendly and the bathrooms were clean. But the real centerpiece of awesome is the stage and stage bar. Our hosts hired a great band who kept us dancing and invited plenty of group participation, like having all the ladies take the stage and sing along to "Mustang Sally" and during "Sweet Home Alabama" they even got the bride up on the stage bar, which was then lit on fire, and had her dance on the bar and the flames danced at her feet. The venue felt intimate and personal. The birthday party also came with a DJ with the DJ booth strategically set in the corner. There was a small dance floor with a range of music from hip hop and popular music to some country music. My cousin chose this venue because it was elegant yet affordable... a great alternative to larger, more expensive venues in her home city of Kerrville, TX. In addition, some previously available venues were no longer available due to the prior year's Kerrville floods. Food and beverages tables were set up in the back of the venue. The Moss Rose Event Center provided the décor, seating, linens, and other amenities, while also being present during the event. Security was also available in the building. Throughout the event a light show was highlighted on decorated walls creating a cool effect. We love visiting our cousins in Kerrville and especially at this venue. Life in a small town appears to be slow, authentic and homey.
