This is one of those times I wish I could give 6+ stars…read more I've worked with Event Ignition on events for over 3 years and can personally attest that they are the best event lighting/AV crew in town, if not in Texas. Whether you're planning a wedding, a fundraising event, corporate entertainment, or need lighting and AV for your next club venture- call these guys. No one else will guide you through your lighting needs as genuinely as Event Ignition. They won't try to oversell you on a bunch of stuff you don't need, but they'll also let you know, from their many years of combined experience, what would look best for your event. Their lighting will transform any space to be exactly what you envisioned, and they can also help outfit with you with other AV equipment you might need for your event: sound systems, wireless mics, a sound operator throughout your event, etc. They are responsible for much of what goes on behind the scenes at events like Luminaria, Blue Star Red Dot, McNay Art Museum, and other clubs and lounges throughout town. My favorite thing about these guys is what they do within the community. The owner, Frank, often donates his time and services to charitable local causes in our community and is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

My experience is coming from the view of the groom/husband. Hiring Arleen (Silverio House) was a…read morehuge mistake. The first meeting that I had with her made it seem as if my wife and I wouldn't have to worry about anything. This obviously did not happen. She promised a seamless experience but failed to deliver at every turn. Communication was slow and unreliable. Any vendors that she recommended were either way out of our budget, not wanting what my wife and I had envisioned, or Arleen struggled to secure any sort of confirmation from them. In fact, it took ME reaching out to one of her vendors to get any response. This led to an argument in which my wife and I were told to "NOT CONTACT ANY VENDOR" on our own without going through her. Communication went silent the week of our wedding. On the day of our wedding, it was chaos. She would ask us questions on things that were discussed multiple times since we started working with her. Save yourself the stress and find someone else!

Two stars is too nice. Arleen overpromised and underdelivered…read more I had a stroke in July 2023, so since I needed to focus on getting better, we decided to get a planner. We booked their "decor package" and day-of coordinator. When I met Arleen via Zoom, I was in a wheelchair and might've been fresh from getting my trach removed - so she essentially hustled for a handicap. She said she would help out with this and that, "let me handle it" kind of speech. More times than I can count, I had to be the one to reach out for follow-ups on anything; half the time, she had no follow-ups on anything anyways. Sometimes, I ended up having to go around her and just DM the vendor directly on Instagram for an actual answer. Part of her job responsibilities was vendor management; she was so rude and neglectful to a couple of my vendors. The week before the day, she didn't even reach out to me to talk about design. Instead, she wanted to bother me every 5 minutes while I'm trying to get glammed. Honestly, I can go on. But. The point of all of this is Arleen ended up causing a lot more stress than help, especially for the money we paid her. And when I went down with a stroke, I didn't work for 5 months, so we spent money on savings on a planner to help us. We could have saved that money instead. If I could give negative stars, I would.
