Without question Frontier provided the most uncomfortable flight I've ever been on (round trip to Orlando). The seats are hard (think plastic fold-out chairs covered in a thin layer of vinyl) and don't recline. Leg room is cramped. The whole seat is small and cramped. There are no audio or video options so bring your own entertainment. Many will book Frontier because they have cheap rates but that's deceiving. They charge far more for both checked in or carry on baggage than other airlines. Make sure you call and pay for your baggage ahead of time otherwise you pay even more on the day of your flight. And if you are even a pound over the 50 pound baggage weight limit it's a $75 fee. Want to choose your seat? You gotta pay for it. And of course if you want anything other than water you pay out the nose for it (they provide no complimentary drinks or snacks - not even a couple peanuts) so bring your own food & drink. My flight experience did reflect friendly customer service from check-in and bag drop personnel as well as flight attendants. Flights were on time. But even their smiling faces can't hide how miserable the flights were. read more

Frontier airlines is my first and last choice. I book its flight to San Francisco from Ontario California on July 8 2024 trying to save a few dollars. It proved to be the worst airline to deal with. First it charges $25 for checking in at counter unless you checkin within 45 minutes window electronically in their mobile app before departure. Second, it charges carry on bag for $99 each. Third, Ontario airport is relatively close to my house but the services in it is the worst I experienced in US. It has a lot fewer stores and restaurants. It seems only cheap airlines use this airport. Though it claims "international " airport, there is very few international aircraft choose to stop here therefore limited international level services can be seen. read more

The cost of the flight was $180.00 ... what I didn't know was my carry on bag was and additional $104.00 each way, so my round trip flight was actually $388.00. Couldn't check in online it kept sayin error... Got here they wouldn't let me on the airplane even tho the airplane hasn't taken off yet and they want to charge me 99$ to reschedule... We are very disappointed with such unprofessional and no ethical work values customer service. The three women in the pictures are the ones whom gave us such a terrible experience. We had bought an extra luggage online during check in. When we got there they took their sweet time, tried to make us loose our flight, and told us we never purchased an extra luggage pass. I had my email confirmation as proof, but they still made me pay more than $200. for my baggage. We really needed to go back home, so we decided not to argue anymore and pay for it, because my daughter really needed her medicine for her Asmaa. They also had the worst attitude, very unprofessional people, very sarcastic, and they threw the paper at me with the phone number I requested and started ignoring me. It's cheap and affordable, I used to work for the contracted company they had . Just be two hours early to your flight check in on time and pre pay for your luggage online. I paid to fly my daughter from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City. We added a bag online to be checked in. $75 for up to 50 pounds. The bag was 49 pounds. Regular suitcase. When we got to the airport we were told the $75 was just for the weight. The cost of adding the actual bag was another $79. Since that part was handled at the airport it was another $25. So....$179 to check in a 49 pound suitcase. No refunds. Company policy. They said I should've read the baggage policy. I've never had to read any baggage policy with any other airlines- Hawaiian, Delta, Alaska...etc. When those airlines say the bags are a certain fee- it always is what they say. They're upfront. I cancelled my trip for April 22 for Florida due to COVID on March 29th. i didn't realize it had a 90 Day rebook policy from the date of cancelation, i thought it was a year like all of the other airlines that i had to deal with this year. I called them twice today asking two separate agents for a refund, they both told "sorry, we will documented your concern, but the credit expired 2 weeks ago on June 29th and we cannot extended or refund your money because you had 90 days to use it". then when i ask for a supervisor, they refused and hung up on me, Twice!!! My trip was for April 22 so 90 days I should have my credit until July 22rd not June 29 because I canceled March 29th; this is ridiculous. I went today to check in and check my luggage and I bought the ticket and the baggage online and I have the confirmation for the luggage on my tickets. First they told me we can see nothing on your tickets for the luggage and I already bought tip online they called the manager to check. I showed the manager the confirmation email on my bank account that the money being taken out from my bank account. from the manager to the staff member they was really rude and horrible. FRONTIER AIRLINES is really not very friendly to their customers. Addition to charging everything they can their website is simply not usable. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to cancel my reservation a week ahead . It was not possible to do this online, so I had to call the number they gave me . It was Answered by someone with Strong, Indian accent.He Refused to cancel my reservation unless I paid at $75 upfront on my credit card . He said if I did, so then he would try to get my ticket payment reimbursed . This is obviously a scam by this scumbag . When I refused to do so, he said he would not cancel my reservation nor would he give me any refund . Then he hung up on me . I Went online to get another number, and I did get a partial refund in accordance with their contract of carriage . Does FRONTIER know their employees are doing this kind of scam business? This is the second time this year I've flown Frontier out of Ontario Airport and they have the rudest check in attendants I've ever come across in all the years I've been flying. They are slow, unorganized and their customer service is horrible. And next time you know that childrens tickets are not scanning on the app you should tell the customers so they get a printed ticket! So they don't have to wait in the tsa line and have to go all the way back to the ticket counter down stairs to wait in another line at the counter with a whole bunch of moms and their kids also waiting to get their tickets printed!!!!! I'm forced to give 1 star to leave a review. PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING YOUR FLIGHT!!! We showed up for our flight from Burlington,Vermont on 10/21/22 and to our surprise, they no longer flew out of that airport! I never received an email prior advising of this nor did they send me a refund. I even received a notification reminding us to check in early!! When we got there, the counter was closed and no sign stating that they no longer flew out of that airport. I tried a couple times to check in through my phone and the only message I received was they hadn't opened up for online check in YET!!! There was absolutely no way of contacting any customer service representative we held for over an hour just to get a voicemail and leave a message. I was finally able to get a hold of them two days later via an automated chat, which luckily connected with a live agent. I will be getting a refund in seven days...wow! I then asked if they offered any compensation since we had to pay double through a different airline to get home and their response was... you will need to go and speak to a representative at your local airport. So for their mistake I have to still inconvenience myself and HOPE they compensate me in someway?? All I can say is, I hope Frontier Airlines will be out of business soon read more

Took a flight from Ontario CA to St. Louis through Denver with a long layover in Denver. I knew I would be sitting at Denver awhile. The flights were all on time and went smoothly and I will say I am happy for that as so many flights have been cancelled and delayed on all the carriers lately. The worst airlines experience from the moment we walked in and spoke to their first rep. So unprofessional. We had already purchased our check In bags and checked in far in advance. They were slow to first attend to people for their check in lines. It was a mess. Then they would t take our bags and told us we have to purchase carry on bags. So at this point we had to pay for check in and carry on bags. And they would not give us a refund for the check in bags. Then once boarding on the place they state we can't have our bags as carryons and will have to get them checked in. Tried to explain that they wouldn't take them. After they took the bags, they said they will not arrive until the next day! It never arrived! They kept it the whole week and never even put a tag on it. They never would answer their phone nor provided a call back. They charged a total of $900 for baggage! Also, For our flight back once everyone was in their seats and locked and loaded the pilot stated "bad news and that they didn't have enough gas in the plane to make it back! They made us get off! the flight attendant, male person, never smiles, he never greets you, he is "miffed" that he has a job and makes sure everyone around him knows it. his body language is "stand offish" when you're polite and smile and ask for, lets say a coffee. Which is his job, he makes it very clear with his non-verbal response, skirmish facial expressions that he DOES NOT WANT TO BE WORKING ON THIS FLIGHT! Wait it gets even worse. the flight arrived 35 minutes early, the plane parked at the gate, the pilot informed us there was an issue with personnel getting to operate the bridge. the passerngers were patient and understanding, no one was upset. I was the very first person standing at the forward galley listening to the entire conversation between the pilot, ground crews, and the front galley flight attendants. When a passenger, just 2 persons behind me asks the flight attendant for an update, this is what she RUDLY BLURTED OUT, " SIR THE CAPTIN MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT, THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE JET BRIDGE, WE CANT OPEN THE DOOR OR YOU WOULD FALL TO THE GROUND! Ok we're not 9. Wait it gets EVEN WORSE! after 40 minutes the bridge is extended the door opens. "Resting GRUMPY FACE!" stands in front of the door, grabs paper work, and just keeps blocking the door. He and gate agent have a conversation, he clearly is doing this on purpose. He continues to purposely block the exit, keeps having a conversation with the gate agent, he is having conversations that has nothing to do with the flight. this goes on for 2-3 minutes. I finally asked, may I pass, he slowly turns around, clearly irritated that i asked politely if i may proceed and just gives another one of his "resting bitch face looks" smirks and stands aside. WAIT IT GETS EVEN WORSE! There were 3 or 4 passengers behind me, all of us being patient. Myself and another male passenger start our brisk walk to the exit. The gate agent who was talking to Mr. RUDE ALL THE TIME, screams, and i dont me talking loud she screams "SIR - SIR - SIR!!!! YOU CANT EXIT THE DOOR IS SHUT! SIR! YOU CANT EXIT...SIR!!!!!! ok for what its worth, she could have just asked us to pause at the plane door, or explained the door was closed and give her just a moment. instead the person behind me turned around at her and he said "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM! YOU ARE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL! YOU DONT NEED TO TREAT US LIKE THAT. She then walks just in front of to the door exiting the jet bridge. She turns around - BODY SLAMS THE DOOR SHUT - RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE and the passenger walking beside me. FOR NO REASON AT ALL. The passenger next too me, who was almost got a steel door slammed in his face, opened it and she immediately yells " SIR GET AWAY FROM THE DOOR! and BAM! SLAMS IT AGAIN. He re-opened the door and yells out in front of 200-300 waiting passengers on the other side. "HEY LADY ! WHY ARE YOU TREATING US LIKE THIS! YOU HAVE A BAD ATTITUDE! I signed up for a Frontier Airlines Mastercard when I was on a flight earlier this year. I did everything I was supposed to do - spent ALOT of money on the card within the first month, and continued to spend a lot of money every month. I also paid extra to join their "club" which is supposed to give you additional flight specials and discounts. Bottom line, I'm giving up the card. I can't get any flights at decent times, and most available flights require an overnight stay! It's ridiculous. And I can't talk to anyone at Frontier. You have to use the website, even if you're having trouble or would simply like some guidance. The card benefits are not what I hoped for. I hate the card now. I've stopped using it, and am going to try a United or American Airlines credit card to see if they are any better. read more

My son, her dad had to have emergency brain surgery Saturday July 14th. I submitted an emergency refund form explaining I am his care giver accompanied with doctors verification.
