7-8 months ago I made a payment online. The system showed several times that the payment didn't go through, so I hit "process payment" a few times. This glitch I'm their system caused 3 months of payments. I cancelled Frontier in late August, I was told the refund will take 90 days. I just got off the phone with Frontier, the refund will Be processed on the 90th and then it takes 14 to 21 days to be mailed out. Besides the horrible service they provide, it's going to take 111 days for a reimbursement for something that was a result of their stay. Oh I hate them!!!! read more

UPDATE FOLLOWUP: Ironic on the day we cancelled the Installation, a Tech shows up (unannounced - no appointment) to add the fiber wire to the telephone poles. He informs the neighbor he has to get in his backyard, but the neighbor says he has dogs. The Tech couldn't ask the neighbor behind us to use his access instead? Bad customer service, they don't know what the other teams have even completed. Never had such a waiste of time trying to add service. So trying to cancel was even harder than that they pass you around and then have to explain the same info to three or four other people and after 2 1/2 hrs just trying to cancel my service, no emails, no communication seemed like Ai most of the time, asked for email confirmation that we cancelled, nothing as of yet, hopefully this is done. I received an email to upgrade to the 2G promo. I called it in upgraded and was told a service tech would be by today 8-12 to provide a new router at no cost. No one came and my router turned RED. I chose the chat, explained everything was transferred 4 times to different departments, after 2 hours was told different stories . I was fed up and wanted to cancel they asked me to call it in. I called and the lady was snarky and rude I had to remind her to stay professional. I just got Frontier. In the beginning, I was excited. Spectrum finally has competition. The sales representatives talk about internet security that comes with the service and seems to know everything. However, the installation is a disaster. The box is installed on the wrong side of the room. The phone doesn't come when the service is installed. Instead of getting the internet protection as promised, I was told to have my "IT person can walk me through the process". The phone is super complicated through a secondary provider called Ring Central. Right now, it looks great in the box, as I can't reach where the outlet is located. There were two Frontier sales reps canvassing my neighborhood today. In the afternoon when I was alone inside my home, I heard my front screen door open, followed by a knock on my inside door which was unlatched and ajar. As the door (pushed?) open, I called out "I'm coming," expecting to greet someone I know. The two reps at my door, a man and a woman, proceeded with their pitch. I immediately and repeatedly responded that I wasn't interested. The male rep was frustratingly persistent, but they finally left. Later the same day, after dark, I heard my screen door being opened, followed by a knock on my inside door. This time my inside door was locked. The same two reps from earlier were at my door, greeted this time by my husband who was more forceful, letting them know he didn't appreciate the second visit after I told them no earlier in the day. The male rep was argumentative and antagonistic, refusing to leave until my husband stepped outside to holler and berate them until they were clear of our property. I do not appreciate the aggressive, harassing tactics employed by these Frontier reps. read more

I have NEVER been so dissatisfied with a company in my life. First, my bill for cable tripled with-in a 3 month period, second when I called to have it disconnected I was billed for a full month after the disconnection. I was also charged $50 more dollars in cancelation fees and $50 for restocking fee. When all was said and done (5 phone calls later) I am owed $105. It's been almost 2 months and I keep getting told refunds take up to 45 days. I'm still waiting. I called back today and was told probably 2 more weeks for the refund. It kept doing this They put that EERO on my phone it said my Internet was Excellent. I called the i was told my internet is connected on there end. I said its not on my end. had me to restart the box, that didnt work. so i called Spectrum back and reconnected my service. I called today 12/4/2024 to disconnect Frontier Internet service, I was told because i am Disconnecting my service I have to pay a fee for doing so of $94.25 and if i didn't do that I would be charged every month for service. then i ask her whats the address to return the Equipment. Asking and trying to bully into someone's backyard to cut a tree that doesn't belong to the property owner is against the law and exposes the homeowner to a lawsuit!! I am very upset that your worker was trying to make me let him come on to my property to cut my neighbor's tree to which I have no right to give approval for is just ridiculous. I will not be using your company for any of my needs. Just horrible. Came back for round two today saying I have to give them access, I said no. The customer service is absolutely ATROCIOUS. Both the service rep and the Manger I spoke with were rude. I had to ask to speak with manager literally 10 times before they would connect me (mind you I spoke with 2 service reps 2 other days to try and resolve my issue) - the manager Ryan had the audacity to say that, me having to ask to speak with a Manger multiple times is proper service. When I did speak to him, he kept speaking over me or saying - can I interject - just to get me to shut up and get off the phone. I have never missed a payment and this was regarding an issue with them regarding incorrect billing. I was then told that whoever gave me the information I received was incorrect. They mentioned it was a company issue and then tried tk act like it was me. Highly considering canceling my service since obviously everyone here has not been trained well in customer service. I filled out your paper work, sent you the last Statement bill of my previous internet provider,and now you send me a notification that I was not approved for your buyout credit? Your customer service department have no clue about the buyout credit, by the way. Even the supervisor has no idea. I had to spend 2 days just to get an answer because your sales department was closed for MLK holiday. I really have never dealt with a more incompetent company then this one. First I am sold the service and charged for something I didn't request. Took care of that then scheduled installation. First installation date, no one showed up to the offices. Called to complain and they said no one was coming. Some outside work had to be done and would be taken care of before my next appointment. Rescheduled for this Monday and when the technician arrived they said the building was not set up for fiber. So they sold me a service that was not even available in my building yet it was next door. Wasted 8 hours of my time waiting for service I couldn't even get. The only way to work problems out with these guys is to blast them on social media. I've had Fronteir service for maybe 16 years. I couldn't reach them on the phone or through the website for eight years and live with that while they doubled my bill every two or three years. Few months ago I finally blasted them on social media and somebody addressed my concerns here. Was satisfied with the arrangement even though I was frustrated by having spent 12 to 15 hours on hold because you'll never ever ever reach anybody on the phone at Fronteir. So now, I have their service which is YouTube TV and Internet. The card that I used his payment was hacked and I had to get new cards and I couldn't renew the card because I can't go online with them because after 12 years of trying to deal with this they never work it out. They even set two confirmations texts this morning. After calling and holding forever and transfer to 3 different "supervisors" they don't know why etc but sorry sorry! I've tried them twice thinking the first time may been too soon because they were fairly new. But unfortunately I had the same experience again. I was paying 1 gig of interest speed, but only getting 90 mbps or less. This was happening since day 1..They came out to 3 times to my house and each time they came out they claim they fixed the issue, worse part is they charged me for the technician to come out and never told me anything. But ok if they really fixed the issue I'll pay, but why charge me if the problem was never fixed. Then I was supposed to be on on auto pay and a year later I received a letter stating I was past due two months! So basically since day one I was paying for speed I wasn't getting, speed wasn't even close! Then paying for technition fees for not fixing the issue. Then late fees when I'm supposed to be on auto pay. I explained myself to them and they just said sorry pay us! They did nothing to reimburse me or compensate me for paying for the speed or service I wasn't receiving. They just wanted their money now! So I said screw it and just paid them and canceled my account. I'm never going to use them again! read more

I WAS a customer with Verizon which switch over to Frontier for 8 years. I recently moved 5 mins from my previous address and had my services transferred. My services appointment was last Friday April 1, and the Frontier technicians spent 7 1/2 hours at my home attempting to connect my WiFi. They came back Monday to try again, and that was another wasted 3 1/2 hours. Btw... the previous tenant had frontier, and just deactivated their services on March 29th. I finally had enough, and disconnected my service with Frontier. I reached out to SPECTRUM, and they came to service me today. My internet was connected in 15 mins, and now I'm a happy camper. The Spectrum technician went under my house and ran a new line, and that's the mistake Frontier made.... they relied on the old cables. If they would have ran a new line, I would have had my service on last Friday April 1st. read more

Year and a half ago I called frontier to cancel my service because I was moving customer service representative told me that she could not identify who I was and will send me a letter so I can cancel my service. I waited for the letter for two weeks, never received it , I called back trying to cancel my service. It was another excuse and frontier when I officially moved the continue charging me finally after charging me over thousand dollars for the service that I have never received because I I moved out from that residence. I finally got him to cancel the service. Needless to say I kept getting collection calls that I still owed $102. I fought with the collection agency as well as frontier and they marked me and destroyed my credit. when they finally canceled my service the representative on the other line stated that she will send me a card in the amount of $80 as a form of backpay. I've never received the card for $80 just contrary, got charged and sent to collections! This is such a fraudulent company, so do yourself a favor go somewhere else!!!! read more

Wow, these guys are impressive. I switched from another internet provider. The installer set up the modem OUTSIDE!!!! I suggested to him that it didn't seem like the equipment was waterproof, but he insisted that it was. Then when he was installing the cable, he cut a CAT5 cable that went to one of my hotspots. He realized that he cut the wrong cable and instead of letting me know, he cover it up by taping over the cut with electrical tape. My hot spot stopped working. I had to hire a network technician and it took him 4 hours to figure out that the cable was cut. I incurred $480 in expenses. Frontier has had to come out repeatedly to my house. They've acknowledged the mistake and said they would reimburse it, but they haven't and it's been months. read more

I decided to go with their new fiber cables and what a day it was. First some guy shows up the day before my appointment and said he is here to drop the lines so it is easier for the tech the next day. He left saying everything g was ready and that he had cut the old lines so fiber guy would be already there next day. Yesterday, the fiber guy comes and installs everything except I now have no alarm and the first guy cut that line as well. The tech tried for a few hours to find the cut line and repair. Nothing worked. He was following instructions on his phone. This guy really tried but didn't have enough experience. Also, neither techs carried cards. By the end of yesterday, I had credits supposedly to cover lost service and a free month. Unfortunately, today my alarm person has to come to see what he can do. Customer service was very nice ( shout out to Marisa in Kansas City, Missouri) she could only report everything and give me a credit. Also, said Frontier will pay for my alarm guy today. All this could be avoided if the subs from another company knew WTF they were doing. Not enough training with the new fiber and installation. I now have my kitchen phone attached to the modem/router as that is the only way the landline will work today. I don't want the phone in a room I hardly use.
