To alleviate the horrible and negative words... I called today to confirm that they were coming today, and JASMINE was AMAZING. She called the actual technician and confirmed everything down to the apt #. Their service/product is quite good.. and JASMINE was really REALLY great as far as pushing through to ensure that everything was going to go as planned for today. Jasmine deserves a salary boost. Five days now without internet service. Again spoke with wonderful apologetic representatives but absolutely useless. No one will let me speak to a manager and no one seems to know what to do. Just trying to talk to a person is so frustrating, all they do is prompt you to use the app or text. For what I don't know since they can't help you anyway. This company and their customer service is absolutely the worst! My 93 yr old Grandmother has been without service for 3 weeks. After taking over 45 min to speak with a human... I was in contact with Joel, Lizard (true story) and Toby... All of whom said they will follow up personally and talked to me about their own grandmothers. I stated.. I bet you wish you can call her... because I can't When you go through the prompts.. the system will say that it looks like you have an appt and it will be a past date. Then it hangs up on you. They want you to set everything up yourself. But I've been having problems with the router, and they still haven't sent a new router. It's only been 2 and a 1/2 years. The Frontier system will not allow me to access my voicemail messages. When I try to get help, cannot call and can only use their online chat system. That takes me down many rabbit holes and asks questions when I have already told it the information. Finally, I got to use its online chat with a technician, who sent me the wrong information, recognized that, and wrote me a "correction" to what he sent me. When I tried to follow the revised instructions, Frontier dropped me from the on-line chat with their tech. Their tech support is the worst I have ever encountered. When we changed internet providers from Spectrum to Frontier, we upgraded to 2g - ensuring we stay connected (we both work from home). It has been almost a year, and we experience internet disconnections regularly. We have all the hotspots necessary to carry the signal. None of which helps if the signal doesn't get to the router. We just upgraded to 5g in an attempt to give Frontier one last chance, and avoid a complete rewrite to a new company. read more

Frontier has been a nightmare. Their customer service is horrible, and their website is a maze when trying to adjust my service plan. I've also been bombarded with spam calls from their main number. When I asked to be removed, the representative was rude and unhelpful. Cancelling was even worse -- I was hung up on twice before finally speaking to someone who was equally rude. On top of that, I was hit with a $50 'restocking fee' to return the router. And when I asked about removing the box on my house and the wire across my yard, the rep actually laughed and said it wouldn't be removed. I'm now with T-Mobile, paying half the price, with no cancellation fees, and no unsightly equipment around my home, and no wires across my yard." read more

We're trying to get internet fiber installed and our install appt keeps getting postponed. The appt has changed 4 times now over a period of a month and they don't notify you that it's been changed. Member services says they can't do anything about it and says it's a delay from the "engineering" team, who they can't access but can leave notes to. It's twice now where they said the engineering team will call me and never received a phone call. Member services said this happens often, and getting an install can take weeks or over a month. At one point member services even told me to let him know if we want to cancel the install. My app scheduled appt is not updated either...it's past due and still no update, like they're never coming and will never let me kkow. Horrible customer service. I can't even get service started. This is by far THE WORST experience I've had with any company. EVER. And I'm a pretty patient person. I highly advise NOT signing up with frontier. It was a horrible experience! First of all, I was really excited about the fiber optics experience. I was about to leave spectrum to sign up with frontier. I initiated my activation in October 2022. It is now April 2023. At first they said they chi fly activate because they had to break ground. So I waited patiently - nothing. I followed up with the contractor and they had no information. And then they sent a field rep out twice to tell me the same thing... in Addition, it's sooo difficult to get through to their customer service. I was so frustrated with the automated system. And then when I got to a csr, told my story and she said she would transfer me over to a supervisor. And she rerouted me back to the automated! Hire better people frontier or train them! I made it clear how frustrated I was. I had to call the field rep who came here today to cancel my request. I will happily stay with spectrum. I will never use frontier again. Horrible service. Why do you advertise if you can't back it up!? Especially since they confirmed that our address was eligible for activation. I work remote. Problem #1 I can't not reach a human being for customer service, this is extremely frustrating. 2. Initially a Salesman came to my home to offer service and I signed up. He told me they would have a way to get through the bushes to run a line where spectrum currently is run. This was incorrect and not sure if an intentional lie. 2. Friday July 5 Install crew showed up the day before my scheduled and confirmed appointment for the 6th. He said he is install team and tomorrow is tech crew. I was not informed there would be TWO seperate visits. 3. Install guy who showed up when I wasn't home but my brother so he let him come in. But I am the person who ordered the service and I wasn't home they shouldn't have proceeded without me there and again we DID NOT have an appointment. He was there to connect the line to the pole and run line to house. He proceeded to install the line from pole and run across my entire back lawn. So we would have open patch of grass with a line running 15feet above it. I came home and told him this would not be acceptable. He was very nice and rolled the line back up and left it connected to the pole. He said the tech guy that's coming tomorrow can figure out the best way to do it through bushes. 2. Saturday July 6, Tech guy shows up at our scheduled time. I showed him the bushes and where i'd like it to be run (same place as Spectrum line is) he looked for 15 seconds said I can't do that walked away with his back to me said I'll just refer is back and proceeded to leave. No discussion with me about alternatives or even what we do with this cable line now sitting connected to the pole and in our yard. I honestly thought he went to his truck to call someone or do paperwork but literally just he left. He was here less than 2 minutes. walked out and left???? He just left! So I tried to call customer service and that was once again was a joke. I could not reach a human bejnI called several times trying different phone prompt options finally reached a guy who said he would transfer me to a lead. Then a woman come on the line and I start explaining what happened and 20 seconds in SHE HUNG UP! My mind is blown at their ABSOLUTE UNPROFESSIONALISM from all points of contact. I waited for years to get FIBEROPTIC INTERNET in my area and it was finally available. It's sad because I was so excited to replace Spectrum with the speed of Fibeoptics. It's rare that I post but wow... this has been the worst experience I have ever had of services... My account was canceled due to misinformation on a Friday & was told no CS till Tuesday due to holiday but was told it would be reactivated.. I called first thing Tuesday morning was told it would be activated, it was then I was transferred to sales & was told a new account was needed & all of a sudden my Internet stopped working.. 8 agents, 6 hours & three chat agents later nothing has been resolved. I have been blind transferred, promised action, credit & still to date I have not received a solution. I have been calm & polite, I don't blame ppl I blame companies. This internet provider does not value its customers. First of all it kept raising my bill. The billing started at $62/mo then gradually grew to $75/mo. I went on line to see why. The only access was through its chat system. The chat window would not answer my question and kept circling back and asking if I had any other questions. I gave up and decided to cancel the service. The system does not have self cancellation service. Instead you have to talk to a representative who is set on not letting you cancel. She kept asking for pieces of information that were already in the system. She eventually asked me for my pin which I didn't get right. I'll try again in a day or so. read more

Bad customer service. I have been experiencing internet problems the entire day, tried to be patient but had to call Frontier at 3 pm. I was first directed to a link that's supposed to offer online chat, but it didn't work, so I had to call again. The customer rep did not listen to me, did not let me finish the description of the problem, kept interrupting me and kept stating there is no problem for my internet. Creepy, aggressive "sales" people who show up after dark, pound on the door and ring the doorbell over and over (we are on the "do not knock" list). They showed up three days in a row, and lied about our neighbors, stating "the rest of the street has signed up for service already." We are a close-knit neighborhood and keep tabs and this was a lie that was easily disproved. We had to ask multiple times for them to leave our property and finally had to call the police. I can't imagine that the quality of the service could be any good if this is Frontier's marketing strategy. Beware. read more

We canceled our Frontier internet service on April 30th 2025 from our home in Long Beach, California because we moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. We paid our final bill in the amount of $64.99 on May 1st and 2 to 3 days later we returned all of our equipment using UPS. Today, June 10, 2025 they deducted $58.77, this was after we made our final payment on June 1st. We were advised if we did not return the equipment Within a week to 10 days if we would be charged $50. So we called them to figure out why they took that money out and they told us that they charge a $50 restocking fee and that the $8.77 was for an early cancellation. None of this was mentioned to us William at our last payment and canceled our service. It's basically a ripoff. Absolutely terrible company, I would go with anyone else. They are horrible! read more

Avoid this awful company at all costs! In a true "free market" economy, this company would have been gone long ago. In my case, home phone line not working the last few weeks: can receive calls but can't call out. After one hour with customer support, was finally able to schedule tech to come out. After waiting out the 4-hour window, no tech nor any text message letting us know that tech appt delayed or cancelled. Called support later and they claimed there's an outage in the area and that tech will not come??? If so, then why weren't we contacted - and why did they promise a tech would come out in the first place? Also, Frontier website showed no outage when entering our address. Finally, like many other companies, you can't reach someone local: support has been outsourced to the Philippines, and they are .... useless!!! They read from a script, thank you ten times when you provide your name, but can NEVER provide any meaningful technical support - assuming you can even understand them. There is supposed to be government oversight of utilities. What are they doing about Frontier? You know things are bad when Spectrum looks pretty good in comparison. read more

So heres an update to this review. The service mysteriously came back on Sunday afternoon with no explanation. But i had already called Spectrum and ordered internet from them. I received the equipment, but decided to stay with Frontier because it was already on. Fast forward to this weekend and it happens again. Our service goes out on Sunday. They tell me the same damn lies n that i have to call Monday morning. Luckily i have the equipment from Spectrum so i installed it while frontier was on the phone. If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible service. I paid my bill on 10/11/24 and had to cancel service on 10/22/24 due to selling my home. Never did they tell me that I would have to pay a full month's worth of service when I only used 11 days of it. And to top it off they charge $50 for equipment restocking, Kamala must have some ownership here. Frontier is good at soliciting customers and signing up new business. However, once you're in, you'll get the worst service that you could possibly imagine. I asked for my service to be cancelled a year ago in July. I spent at least 15 hours on phone calls to cancel my service, as they kept sending me bills. I demanded a refund and was told by 4 separate people (from the calls) that I'd be getting a refund as it's clear in their notes that i requested cancellation in July 2024 and we paid invoices through September. Now it's June 2026 and I'm still getting invoices. I called and let them know I'm not paying and that I'm still owed a refund. They said ok we'll refund the amount. I found out that they gave me a one month credit instead of a 3 month refund. What a joke! Given their ratings here, it's clear this company doesn't give a s*it about their customers. My phone has no dial tone for 5 days. Tech support out of India is very poor. The computer system for tech support says that there is an outage in the area and therefore they will not sent a repairman. The Indian tech says they will send out a service and and will notify me via the phone that does not work. 4 calls to India all say that there is not outage. Summary the computer system will not allow a service tech to come to the home because there is an outage. The India tech's say there is no outage. Therefore we will never get service because the system will not allow it. I have not been able to speak to anyone other that India because their phone numbers are hidden. read more

I contacted frontier like I was told and of course they said there's nothing they can do. Once it's in collection they can't do anything. They drilled unnecessary holes on my wall cut wires. They did not have to cut.and never got it to work but they were quick on taking the account to collection when it was never even installed properly or working properly I called them right away a few times and their customer service was horrible. *The latest update on month 10 of problems* Not alot has been done to resolve the problems. I've been having with fios since march 2023. I've spent hours on the phone with tech support and only solved one or two issues. I've had my equipment replaced 3 times, and nothing has changed. I had yet another technician come out, and after explaining everything, he blamed my equipment and said I needed to be educated. It's totally undeserved insults. I've learned a lot about the way the company works and have spoken to a countless number of representatives, so don't insult me. The technician also told me his supervisor could better explain and educate me so he would bring him by. I don't think so. I won't be further insulted by their incompetence. One issue is my dropped wifi all day. I have a small house and the eero doesn't seem to be doing its job. One thing he said was I should get a second one, which will probably solve that issue, but I won't pay for one. They should make them strong enough, or just give customers the amount needed, without an extra charge. The other issue is that my phone had a frontier vm message on the display, and he said it was my physical phone and I didn't have voicemail. I have an answering machine which shows a different message. I chatted with an agent a couple of days later, and he confirmed I did have voicemail and reset my pin. I went right in and cleared out the message. The technician needs to be educated. They also need to address all the issues I'm having with poor reception, etc. It sounds like a wiring issue. I never had to deal with these issues with copper. It was perfect. He even had the nerve to compare my issues with cellphone reception and call drop problems. How can he compare a hard-wired phone to a cellphone? That's a totally different system. And how can he think it's acceptable for dropped calls, clicking, scratching, echoing, sounds like someone dialing, phone going dead when not even on it, and more. It's not acceptable, and they need to fix it. I'm pretty sure it must be part of their script if they can't fix it or don't know the answer. My caller id hasn't worked correctly since Fios was installed. They blame the other provider, but the other provider said it was a frontier programming issue, which I've known for a long time. Especially since there was no problem before they put in fios. I shouldn't have to deal with their unresolved problems. It's not my fault, or my equipments fault. Its time for them to figure out how to roll out a working system. They weren't ready for fios. I wish I had never gotten it. read more

Sometimes you cannot get a person you can understand. Most times you cannot get the department you need to talk to. Most times the appointments do not address the issue needed. I cannot express how much this company has been utterly inefficient and incompetent. Because you talk to a different person every time, requests don't get followed through on, and one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. Even though I called every month, more than once to keep in touch and to correct the errors, the errors still continued and so did the bills. I have written letters, called, done everything we could do - even made a payment, and still no resolution. I have no choice but to switch to another company now. read more
