They put a 6 month (180 day) lock on their phones if you try to unlock one of their phones and activate with another company (including T-Mobile) but dont have to wait those 6 months if you activate with them. Additonally, calling their customer support is a terrible experience and they will put you on hold for a long time without resolving your issues and they will lie sometimes.
