It's a small quaint restaurant. The service was good but the food was so so. I ordered eggs, pancakes and bacon. The eggs and pancakes were good but the bacon was overly cooked and oozed of grease. Overall, I would recommend the place.

Not many dining choices in Cherokee. Mom and I had breakfast here. Bacon was good and crispy. Grits and eggs were perfect. Pancakes and syrup were good. Do wish for a bigger selection of syrup. Coffee was good and hot. No idea why such a low rating. Restaurant was spotless and the service was great. Will go back again!

The restaurant is very old could use a cleaning and a makeover. The food was okay but it is expensive for quality of food.

Everett Street Diner is our most favorite place for breakfast - hands down. Hubby and I have tried many items, none have disappointed. Fresh, hot, correctly cooked, presentation, service, hospitality, coffee, atmosphere, and prices - all are spot on fabulous. The owner - Mr Everett Street Diner ALWAYS greets everyone with a smile and friendly conversation. Family oriented, he welcomes you in, sits you down and makes you feel like you're in his kitchen. If (more like when) you wait for your table, it's never long. The staff bust their butts and don't make you feel rushed at all. This morning we/the restaurant celebrated, as an entire group, the expected January arrival of a little girl, and three birthdays!!! And yes, we ALL sang happy birthday. Well, except for Mr Everett, apparently he doesn't sing and will tell ya so!! Seriously though, if you're looking for a good meal, friendly service, and a place you can't wait to come back to ..... try Everett Street Diner!! Oh, and if you're looking for a little heat and spice? You've GOTTA try their spicy diner relish!!! We're on our 4th jar and have gifted 3 jars out to friends, family and a great barkeeper in San Antonio (but that's a different story)! Love you all at Everett Street Diner!!!

Our breakfast was delicious - fluffy peach pancakes for me and banana nut for him, over-medium eggs that were spot on and bacon that was the absolute perfect intersection of crispy-chewy. But there was no "old shabby diner" feel - someone has taken very good care of this restaurant. It's clean, bright, and cheerful. Expect to wait for your fluffy goodness - this is a popular place!

RV and Freckles the Dalmatian. We always try to park somewhere safe and we can keep an eye on her. On top of that it was pouring this morning. So we decided to go to Joey's because they always have adequate parking. They are open until 2:00. So we got there and there was about a 20 minute wait. The staff is quite efficient and before we knew it we were seated in the last booth by the bathrooms. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Only because there were a lot of open tables. Kaidan was our friendly and expert server. He brought us hot steaming coffee then biscuits with butter. Of course the twins ( David and I) ordered the same dish! We got western omelets that were filled with lots of fresh peppers, onions, cheese and ham. There was even a beautiful slice of a red tomato. We also got the baked apples which were absolutely delicious. There was so much food that I was able to make a little doggie bag for Freckles! Joey's is a wonderful restaurant in Maggie Valley and one of our favorites each time we visit.

The shop itself is adorable, clean, and had a steady flow of customers. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I ordered an iced dirty chai latte, which is my go-to whenever I'm trying a new coffee shop because it's a pretty reliable way to compare places. It was good, and exactly what I was hoping for. I also tried the cinnamon roll. It was tasty, but pretty standard. Looking back, I think I'd try one of their other bakery items next time. My friend ordered one of their homemade biscuits. It took quite a while to come out--around 15 to 20 minutes--and several other customers were served before we received it. It honestly felt like the biscuit may have been forgotten, which was a little disappointing. Overall, though, we had a pleasant experience. Nothing was overpriced, the staff was kind, and it's the type of local place I always encourage travelers to support. While there are a couple of other coffee shops in Bryson City I'd probably try before returning, I still think La Dolce Vita Bakery is worth a visit so you can form your own opinion. Every café has busy days, and one experience doesn't define a business. If you're looking for a cozy local spot for coffee and a pastry while exploring downtown Bryson City, it's definitely worth stopping in.

In our experience, the food was served hot and was perfectly prepared. We chose white meat chicken and received two large breast that were excellent! All were served fresh with two biscuits and two corn muffins. The relish, apple butter and Sogrum-sage butter were delightful. We were blessed to have April for our server, and highly recommend her for your visit. She shared the history of the area and is proud of the changes and history of the Dillard House. Thank you for a great meal. The fried chicken is better than I remembered. Yes, the restaurant is open, and parts of the motel are being remodeled/updated and the new hotel is under construction. Say for 15 minutes before the manager had to obtain a server for our table. After the food was delivered, the server did not provide adequate service. I requested a water refill, which took an additional 15 minutes, because she continually forgot. Food quality wasn't the greatest. They served chicken, which consisted of 2 thighs and 2 drumsticks. Along with friend catfish filets, that had been way over salted. Both were very soggy. I ate half the thigh and quit. Veggies? Only vegetables were Lima beans, everything else considered vegetables, was a casserole. A table full of starches. Over rated and over priced. Sadly disappointed. If you want good southern food, go further south to Thomasville, GA. Go to O'Neals. You can fool some folks, but not someone that knows southern cooking. We won't return.
