    The best pancake ever!

Breakfast was fantastic!!! The apple strudel pecan pancake was divine. Tastes like a perfect apple pie with coffee. The service was exceptional and the ambiance is amazing. I highly recommend you stop for breakfast at least!

We stopped at one of our favorite breakfast places while in the mountains, Joey's Pancake House. Greg was our server and he was awesome. The pancake of the day, PEACH. OH MY GOODNESS. I had the House Special with two eggs, bacon, and two pancakes. My husband had the special with corned beef hash. He also added the hashbrown casserole. Both were so delicious. The peach pancakes with fresh peaches were over the top delicious. The corned beef hash was crispy and yummy. The hashbrown casserole was creamy and yummy. Every single thing we ate was SO delicious. You need to visit soon. Make the trip, it is definitely worth the trip.

Yummy pancakes and amazing service. Not too busy when I went. I never found that Sasquatch I was looking for, though. Beautiful mountain views.

Shout out to Brenna, (and Hailey*) she was awesome! Super quick and mindful of us. If we come back during our visit we would ask for her again. Never have I had a pancake as light and fluffy as I have here. The pumpkin pancake was awesome and the service was fast and reliable too. Food came out pretty quick but it looked like we just beat a huge crowd when we were on our way out. Try to get there before 9 to beat the crowds. The restaurant itself is old but so obviously well cared for and clean/ renovated. Beautiful location with beautiful views outside even in the waiting area up front. It was a bit expensive for breakfast BUT it was so worth it with all other things considered. Awesome food, awesome service, great ambience and vibes.

In town for the week from Florida with my wife and MIL, who has been here several times over the years. Last two years we've been up during summer and the wait was too long for our larger party. Thankful that we are here off season and had only a 3 minute wait! First of all, the charm of this place is something else! From the wooden booths with big cushions, to the gingham curtains and old-timey feel it's just amazing and welcoming. Then add the friendliness of the staff (Howard was our server), and this place wins several points. There's also a great little shopping area near the register, full of all kinds of Joey's merchandise to take home. Then you get to the variety of options and the actual food itself. Wow!!! I always get a veggie omelette when I go to breakfast places and this one -- and with all that comes with it -- hands down, the best breakfast I've had while eating out! The omelette itself was delicious and had amazing, fresh veggies packed inside and out. It was moist and flavorful. It came with a salsa on the side that was so fresh and tasty, that I ate some by itself as I don't prefer things like that on my eggs. The most amazing biscuit was included as well, along with a choice of grits or an up charge to their hash brown casserole, which is what I chose. Wow, delicious!! (Get the original if you don't like spicy). My wife got the Tuscan omelette and gave me her grits, and they were so creamy and packed with buttery flavor even before I added a little maple syrup to them! Finally, my MIL got eggs and two pancakes, one she shared with my wife and I -- again, paying an up charge for a small bottle of their maple syrup (much like you'd get at Cracker Barrel, but local and fresh). It was big, fluffy, and had a great flavor! As I mentioned, Howard was our server and we had great conversation with him. He recommended a couple of great dinner options around the area we hadn't considered, and we heard him recommend other touristy stops to make to another couple nearby. Be prepared to pay a few bucks for the up charges, but to me they were worth it to make this such an amazing meal. I reviewed a breakfast place back home recently and said I'd never pay $15-20 for breakfast there again, but when we come back here next year, I definitely would!

Stopped in for an Anniversary breakfast and we're were greeted with a smile as we entered. Our waitress was sweet and took care of us with hot coffee and ran through the specials for the day. We were treated with special heart waffles as a treat for celebrating our anniversary with them. The waffles and red velvet pancakes were fantastic. The restaurant was clean and quiet. I'll be back again soon.

We had heard from The Many who toasted JPH. YES! It is an excellent breakfast gathering for campers and locals. Decor is good and promotes local highlights: mountains and elk. Service is good once seated. The two seaters are tight and should be for singles only. WiFi was excellent and with computer in hand was grateful for the extra space of a 4-seater. I ordered the 2+2+ ham house special. It was just the biggest ham slice ever and never made it to the doggie bag. The pancakes were 1st class- warm plate, real warm syrup, with butter and VERY tasty. The eggs came as ordered (over easy) but nothing special there. A very filling balanced meal- thank you. My wife had a western omelette that was excellent. I was jealous of the additional flavors but she liked my ham. Choices. . . !! Sharing is a couples thing. Our service was real good. The ladies are attentive and professional. But the out front hostess seemed clueless about availability. There were many empty seats while we awaited our seating call to come inside. Her role as a greeter though, coming and going, is a friendly reminder of hospitality past. It slows us down so that we are prepared to BREAK the FAST. The bathrooms were clean and void of oders. So often they are overlooked. Not here. This parting remembrance solidifies 5-star scoring. A comment on the parking. We travel in a motor home. There was plenty of parking. Thank you Joey

We decided to stop on our way to Harrah's. Great choice! We both had their fluffy pancakes with hot syrup and crispy bacon. Food was great as well as the service. Pricing was good. We will be back again next trip.

Apple Strudel pancakes with real Vermont syrup

Delicious! Had the apple strudel pancakes with the real Vermont maple syrup and bacon! Yummmmm! So light, fluffy and tasty! Aiden suggested the loaded hash browns too - they were phenomenal! I wish I could have eaten more but I was stuffed. He kept our coffee cups filled and checked on us regularly. The place was packed. The sweet lady checking folks in told us it would be 20-25 minutes and it was exactly 20. We were seated in the cutest 2 seater booth with a lovely view of the mountains. Great place!

We came to Joey's for brunch on a Tuesday and had a delightful experience. Service was quick and friendly, food came out hot and was delicious! We had pancakes, bacon, corned beef hash, eggs and hash brown casserole. Obviously based on the name, we had high hopes for the pancakes. They did not disappoint! Fresh, fluffy and hot, with softened butter and warm (!) bottles of sweet pancake syrup on the side. They have bottomless coffee and a homey diner vibe. Definitely a great stop for a cozy mountain breakfast!

Beyond impressed, friendly service, delicious food and quick service. I loved my French toast and biscuits and gravy. My husband loved his eggs Benedict and my kids devoured their pancakes and waffles.

We were able to sit at the creek, which was just lovely and relaxing. Our server arrived quickly, brought ice cold drinks just as quickly and was fantastic throughout our visit. Everything we ordered was delicious (tacos, burger, fries, collards). We don't live in Sylva but pass through regularly. We will absolutely be back soon!

This was not what I was expecting -- in the best way possible. I came here with a friend who had…read morevisited the previous location before they moved, and I can confidently say this experience delivered exactly what I needed. First, let's address the only downside: my burger was slightly overcooked. The server was very kind and attentive, but by the time she came back around to check on us, it felt a little late to send it back. I decided to remove the meat and enjoy the rest of the burger -- and surprisingly, it was still very good. My only hope for next time is that everything comes out cooked exactly as intended. Now for the positives -- because there are plenty. The wait time was excellent. We didn't have to wait for a table, and the food came out in a timely manner. That level of efficiency definitely adds to the overall experience. This restaurant is clearly operating at a high level. The location is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and everything feels well-managed. You can tell there's pride behind what they're doing. We ordered The Goat Burger with Crispy Buttered Taters and started with the Fried Deviled Eggs. The fried deviled eggs were a standout. They had a salty base with a slight kick of heat, and the pickled onions brought in a sweet, tangy balance that elevated the dish. The salty-sweet combination worked beautifully together. A strong appetizer choice. As for The Goat Burger -- aside from being slightly overcooked -- the flavor was impressive. The patty was well seasoned, and the fried goat cheese paired with bacon created a rich, savory profile that complemented the crispy buttered taters perfectly. Everything worked cohesively on the plate. Even after removing the meat, the toppings and structure still delivered strong flavor. The food was absolutely worth the money. I left feeling full and satisfied without feeling overly heavy, which is always a plus. This is a place I will go back to again and again. I would confidently recommend it to others -- great location, good food, good people, and solid service. They also offer wine and beer for those who want to enjoy a drink with their meal. Overall, a very strong experience. I'm looking forward to coming back -- and next time, I'm hoping everything comes out cooked perfectly.
