I called again to double-check, and a different person took my call and said she would not be able to locate my info and I would have to start again from scratch. I was disappointed. After a few summers of having my breaker continue to trip when it got hot, I called up Lee. I explained what was going on over the phone and sent him pictures. He said he'd come take a look and walk me through what was going on. He told me the cost up front, which was $510. This was the best money I've spent in a long time. He showed up with his assistant and walked me through his process for figuring out what was going on. What I liked best was that I'm very interested in what he was doing and he was more than happy to show me. Ultimately, over the years of heating and cooling, the screw clamps on the main electrical lines had loosened, causing a bad connection and tripping the breakers. He spent about an hour cleaning up and securing everything. He even fixed the metal cover plate which was missing a screw. I called on May 28th, 2025 @ 4:07pm to see if I could hire someone to install a new bathroom fan and do some other minor small electrical jobs such as installing a Combo USB & Electrical socket, replace the broken light switch etc.......BUT I could NOT get past the "stern" telephone operator who would not give straight or more relevant answers to my general questions. She wanted my contact info and have someone call me back. I asked when might I expect a callback, she said "as soon as possible". I then asked "would that be within the next hour or sometime today?She again responded with a "soon as possible". I politely asked her if I could get a possible window timeframe and again she responded with a "they will call you as soon as possible". She needs to "HEAR" the Customer and respond accordingly & Not repeat the same redundant answer. This was rude and I decided to take my business elsewhere. I am a clinical over-analyzer. Even my therapist tells me this - I'm getting better! When the time came to upgrade our electrical panel and install new lighting outlets in our house, I combed through business listings before deciding to take a chance on Frontline. As a woman living with my mom, we are extremely bored of 'mansplaining' from largely male contractors. I am managing the renovation of my parents' home after my dad's sudden death and am more than capable of understanding wiring systems, amperage, and what overloading a system means. Gary was the kindest, most respectful person who showed up for an estimate. He stuck around for about 30 minutes going through the house, asking questions, and even tolerating our cat's harassment. He's a really good person, and that matters a lot to me in an era where everyone seems to feel entitled to being an asshole, even when they're in someone else's home. The guys who did the work were equally polite, funny, and good-natured. Whatever Frontline is doing to keep morale high, please keep it up. Lee was extremely responsive and helped me troubleshoot the situation over the phone and determined my issue was not in my house, but with PG&E. He patiently spent at least 15 minutes on the phone with me for free and could have easily just scheduled an appointment and made some money. We unknowingly drove over our car charger cord and pulled it out of the box late in the day. I called to ask for a quote and was told I would get a call back soon. I got a call within minutes from Lee Sherwood and he said he would have someone call between 7:30 and 8:00 the next morning and sure enough by 9:00 an electrician was at our door. He was very polite and efficient and reconnected the cord within an hour or so. Unfortunately it turned out that the box had been damaged and though there was electricity coming through it wouldn't charge. It was a big expense for a not positive outcome but Frontline did the job they promised and it was not their fault. We would definitely call them again and refer them to others. read more

This review is a few months late, but I just want to start off with saying there are not enough words to express how thankful I am for Lee and his whole team at Frontline Electrical Services. We had an unfortunate event a few months ago where PG&E had blown our breaker box while they were replacing a transformer on our street. This caused our electricity to go out in our whole house. We initially called a different electrical company (NOT Frontline) who assessed the damages and after saying they would help us, they stopped all communication prolonging our electricity getting fixed. So after 3 days, I got online searching for another electrical company and found Frontline Electrical. I called and spoke with Lee. I explained our situation and he immediately understood the seriousness of the situation. We had absolutely NO electricity for about 4 days by the time I spoke with Lee. All of our food had gone bad, and not to mention we have 3 small kids, one that was a 7 month old baby. This was a huge repair that needed to be done ASAP, but because I was dealing with PG&E, it made matters more complicated. It seemed as if one hand was blaming the other hand, but Lee was an extremely knowledgeable electrician and was able to pinpoint to me who he thought was at fault based off where/how the fire happened on our breaker box. There was extreme miscommunication with PG&E which caused Lee and his team to have to complete the work TWICE. Both times, they were fast and efficient at getting the job done. Without going into too much detail of my extremely complicated situation, I will say that every time I spoke with Lee, he immediately started ordering parts and scheduling work to be done right away. He truly cared that my entire family was out of our home for almost a whole month. As a stay at home mom, I can't tell you how grateful I am for him and his company. From the moment I met Lee, I knew we were in good hands that would help us recover from such a serious failure in one of the jaws behind our PG&E Smart Meter. After a windy day the power went out for my dryer and kitchen lights. I'm a new home owner and am trying to fix one problem after another. The next day the AC wouldn't work too. Oooof. I had the very best experience with Frontline Electrical Services. My Pool Equipment electric power failed and was diagnosed to have a break in the line. As this utility was initially installed back in 1999 at the same time the pool and extensive patio were installed covering the buried line. So it was difficult to identify where the probable rust in the metal conduit had occurred. Choenyi and Jeff installed a new line, cost effectively routing from one side of the house to the other all within the same day fixing that issue. That evening I noticed landscape lights did not come on so called Frontline and Ricci came to check out why. He identified the problem as a tripped GFCI outlet which would not reset, but was not broken. Ricci diagnosed that my Aqualink Control box Program was controlling when electric power was sent to the GFCI unit and as I had tried to reset outside of the program hours that is why it failed. Ricci wasn't a pool control board expert but he taught me more about how it worked than anyone! Lee Sherwood is the owner of this company and he ensures great customer service, he called and emailed me directly to make sure I was satisfied. All I can say is WOW! Lee is amazing! The breaker for our AC kept tripping, I called after hours on Memorial Day. Explained my issue and he broke it down for me on what would need to be fixed and helped me figure out financially if I should pay the extra for an after-hours appt or not. Our circuit kept breaking at our home in Oakland causing half of our lights and appliances to go off and on for days. We tried calling other electricians in the area but was met with short "we are not available." Then we found Frontline on Yelp. First of all, 24/7 service line is unheard of and amazing. I gave Frontline a call around 6:30am, and got a quick call back from Lee around 7am. He was able to diagnose the problem over the call after taking a look at our electrical panel pictures. He told me our zipcode was out of his service area but might be able to accomodate given our frustrating situation. Within the hour, we got a call back from Lee confirming he'll send someone out at 9am. (All this happen within 2-3 hours before normal business hours!) The electrician came right on time (a bit early!), quickly worked on the issue and we now have our power back! The day before Thanksgiving, at 3:30 pm, we lost the electricity in our kitchen, dining room and family room. We had guests coming the next day and I had little hope of getting my problem resolved before Thanksgiving Day. I called Frontline and Mandy answered the phone. After some very thorough questioning she told me they would try to help despite the time frame. A few minutes later, Debbie called with the same outstanding problem determination skills and said they would see if they could find someone to help that late in the day. Had our bathroom remodeled. There was an electrical issue in our bathroom aftee the fact. Bad worksmanship by the remodel person for sure. However, I called Frontline to assess and fix the issue. Electricity coming through the shower handle! Lee from Frontline sounded very concerned for us. He said he considered it an emergency and would call us as soon as he could find a technician. Didn't get a phone call. I had to call and remind him. Awesome, he sends a technician the next day. Back on track. Technician comes in, assesses. Believes it may be because the pipes weren't grounded. Frontline comes back to ground the pipes. They leave a mess of my wall where they cut the hole. Thats minor. I can fix that. Long phone call with Lee afterward as he explains they did not actually fix the problem. But they took $1300 of my money for a service that didn't fix the problem. I thought this was a sever issue, an emergency. Sounds like they just wanted my money. Lee also offered to come into the bathroom and trouble shoot over the phone with the guy that did the work. When it came time to make an appointment, he reneged and said a phone call from the bathroom would suffice. No follow up phone call. Lee dropped off the face of the earth. I guess the issue was only an emergency when money was at stake. Thanks for nothing. Spent $1300 and didn't get anything fixed. I want my money back. Small claims court may be the way to go. read more
