My bottom line review is that Frontline is just way over priced. Spent over $400 for the electrician to confirm what I already knew and explained to them, and then was quoted $2300 to do a repair that should have been less than $1000. That made me decide to put in the time and fix the problem myself. 1.5 - 2 hours later, I am all set. A simple fix that Frontline wanted to build into a complete rewiring of my outdoor wiring was simply not required. Just for reference I had another electrician come out, see the problem and without cost provided an estimate for $1200. I don't think I will be using any electrical contractor that requires an up front $400 cost just to come and quote the work. Having said this, the electrician who came out was really nice to work with, was diligent in analysing the situation and confirming my information and even provided a little more insight that was helpful for me to solve this in less than 2 hours. So, I do believe the company would do very good work and have great people. Just way, way over priced in my opinion. Because the person I worked with was super nice I upped my review to 2 stars. read more

We contacted Frontline when the main circuit breaker to our house failed repeatedly. The failure was a major problem for us with no A/C in the hot weather and no power for the fridge or computers used for work at home. Even though it was a Friday afternoon and a very busy day, Lee called us back and came over that evening to take a look at our electrical panel. He identified the problem immediately and gave us a work-around to get us through the weekend until the team could come back in a few days with a permanent fix. This was a life-saver! The team came back as promised and repaired the circuits causing the problems. Frontline has a large inventory of parts which shortens the amount of time required to perform a fix. The electricians at Frontline, especially Lee are the best you'll find anywhere. Lee has 45+ years experience and really knows his trade. I recommend Frontline so highly I'd give them 10+ stars if that were possible. The prices are very good too. And, they have 24 hour emergency service. Who could ask for more? Awesome! read more

We had ceiling fans added to two rooms, recessed lighting added to two other rooms, and a chandelier hung. At first we thought the quote was high but after asking around, it seemed like a reasonable rate. They showed up on time, wore masks for COVID safety, and wore shoe covers in the house. Start here before calling other electricians. My husband thought we blew the main outside breaker, but unfortunately they told us everyone was currently engaged with other contracts. But Lee returned our call, listed to every detail of the situation and what lead up to it and then walked him through re-checking everything on the inside subpanel first and then walked my husband through on the main panel and how to reset the main breaker. Lee could have easily justified asking for a nominal fee, but didn't. Lee's patience and expertise is astounding. Total rip-off. Wanted to charge me $410 just to do a "diagnostic" on an outlet that wasn't working....I could probably just replace it myself by don't have time. For comparison's sake, Robert's Electric of Oakland charged me $3200 to completely rewire a panel of 12 circuits, test it, and have it inspected. Frontline wanted to charge almost 13% of this just to diagnose and replace ONE SINGE OUTLET. And they don't service Oakland. Complete crap. Don't use this company. read more

The Electricians (Ricco, Frankie, Francisco, and Jinpa) were top notch. They were fast and careful and made sure that I would be happy with the final result. I had a few jobs ... Install Eight lights, put in 220 wiring and a new dryer vent, and redo the wiring in my breaker boxes to reduce from 5 breaker boxes to two (couldn't reduce to one breaker box because one of my boxes had wires going into the wall) This was about two and a half days of work. The only weak link was Garys bid on the project. He did not clearly explain what would be done on the breaker re-wire and he didnt get the dryer vent into the contract (but he did make good on this when i complained) and he only scheduled one day to do the work. So the first day went well but then I had to wait couple of days for the work to resume. But I dont want to hold that against the company as a whole. Just be sure to have Gary explain in detail what he is going to have done and press him for options. Aside from that, the electricians cranked out good clean work and were careful of my property. After we were scared into thinking we needed to fully upgrade our main electrical panel, we contacted Frontline for a second opinion and estimate. Gary came to our house and was knowledgeable, honest and extremely helpful. He gave us pointers on how to easily fix our issue and reassured us that there was nothing wrong with our panel (despite the scare tactics we had from our first electrician - see my review for VC Electrics). I appreciated that he explained everything to me in such a way that he wanted to make sure I understood what was really going on. On top of that, he didn't have a problem saying it all again when my husband arrived a few minutes later. Gary also offered to quote us on some upgrades that we might want to look in to but I liked that he was not a pushy salesman about it. We'd just like to add to the list of positive reviews for Frontline. There were a number of little things we wanted to have done in our house. After making an inquiry via Yelp, we received a super quick response and already had an appointment set up within a couple days. Gary came by to walk through and look at what we were interested in doing.  We weren't sure about doing everything all at once due to potential cost, but Gary accommodated us by giving us quotes ala carte.  He also came back with the estimates very quickly which we appreciated very much. Ricci, Julius, and David came to do the work.  They were all very courteous and professional, and did a great job.  They were also fun to be around and were always willing to show us what they were working on and talk specifics if we were interested.  They went out of their way to replace things that needed replacing and make the least amount of impact on the walls that they could.  They made sure to clean up and put things back the way they had found it, even when I wasn't expecting it.  They even stayed what I'd imagine to be well past their normal work hours to make sure the job was done when they said it would be. I can't thank Lee Sherman enough for his kindness and generosity. Yesterday morning we lost power in half of our kitchen and I began calling the top rated electricians in our area. Frontline was the first to respond before 8 a.m. and the lovely lady I spoke to informed me that while they don't cover our area, she at least wanted to reccomend that I pull out the fridge and use an extension cord to power it from a working outlet. GARY WHITEHEAD (Operations Manager) came by our house to give me an estimate to remove the chandelier in the dining room and wire 4 recess lighting. He was on time and so professional. He said he will send me an estimate the same day and he did late at night. First good impression! Then I asked to start in a couple of days and he made it happen. Gary was so accommodating with my request to have a dimmer on the switch, etc. Then MIGUEL AMEZQUITA / DAVID MAKELA came 2 days after as scheduled. So professional as well. Worked great as a team. Miguel let me know that he is waiting for David to come back with the trim kits before he puts a hole on the ceiling. He wants to make sure the size of the hole is the right size so that we prevent to do additional work like patch with sheet rock, texture and paint. They were so considerate, professional, cleaned every light fixture they installed and the surroundings. My experience was the best I have experienced working with electricians.
