I grabbed a couple of donuts here after work. I found the raised yeast to be alright. The dough had some weight to it and had a slight off taste. The buttermilk faired a little better, but I am very particular about the donuts I love. I don't see myself returning.

Frosted Donuts is fabulous! Boutique bakery in Tinley Park off 171st Street making the most adorable and creative donuts I've ever seen! Very fresh and tasty. The bear claw donut is shaped like a bear claw and the pecans are divine. They do custom work for parties and office events with some notice. Def worth checking out.

Came back for family, and like any Yelper, I can't resist getting the local donuts. Frosted Donuts had a bunch of items - and my brother ordered for us the standard assorted of glazed, chocolate, and even a special Cookie Monster donut. Overall, the donuts were great - maybe a little on the pricy side but at least the quality matched! Thanks Frosted Donuts!

It was a long drive for me to go to Frosted Donuts, but so glad I tried it. It's located in a cozy strip mall. The interior is small, but there are a few tables outside if you want to eat there. After talking to the friendly lady running the place, I learned they've been in business for 10 years. Surprised I never heard of them previously, but it was nice to support a small, woman-owned business! They had a really good selection of unique gourmet donuts. I got 10 donuts since I'd be sharing, which included a couple of Almond Joy, a couple of S'mores, a Samoa, a Banana Cream, a Nutella, and a Lotus Biscoff Cookie Butter. I guess I'll summarize my review by saying: Wow! All the donuts were pretty good, but the Nutella and Cookie Butter ones blew me away. I'm a sucker for cream-filled donuts, and these were generously filled. Here's to hoping they offer more cream-filled ones in the future.

They opened Friday, September 11, 2020 in their new location in Tinley Park. They have a huge selection of donuts to choose from and they also offer Peet's coffee. So many types of gourmet donuts for kids and adults. I went on a Sunday morning around 8:00 AM and there were lines of people waiting to get in. The place is small so you can only fit three or four customers in at one time. It took me about 25 minutes to be waited on but the yummy deliciousness was worth the wait. The price of the donuts were slightly high but your paying for freshness, unusual combinations of flavors and pure indulgence. This place is a winner and I'm returning in a few days with the little ones for my next sugar fix! Well done Frosted Donuts.

Strawberry donut, gluten free and dairy free!

I have celiac disease and was just thrilled when I saw that they were making gluten free AND dairy free donuts today in a DEDICATED fryer, freshly sanitized with NEW oil (not recycled/filtered oil as many restaurants do). The facility is actually sanitized and left unused for 24 hours before they make gluten free items to prevent cross contamination from airborne flour as well. With the exception of the M&M and the Reece's topped donuts, the gluten free donuts were dairy free as well; they had 13 different flavors available today. I purchased the chocolate, the strawberry, and the turtle donut. The strawberry was amazing, and the donut had the most perfect lightly crisp outside with a pillowy inside like no other GF donut that I've ever had (I've never tried Stan's or Do-Rite because I am also DF, so I can't compare). Most GF donuts are dense and they are baked, and just don't really taste like a donut...these were light just like a real donut, and I will DEFINITELY be back for more! Thank goodness it's an hour drive one way for me, otherwise this could become a very dangerous and expensive habit

Giant apple fritter was tasty. Shredded bacon topping on the donut had an odd texture. Coffee was not good.

Great little donut shop. Huge selection of donuts at a decent price. The woman behind the counter helping was super friendly and inviting. Place is cute with bright colors. There are a few small tables outside but since it is small there is not any inside seating. We would make the trip down here again. Hours are changing though. Sign on the door say they close at 5 on Saturday instead of 7 like on Apple Maps. For a donut shop though 5 is still late. Definitely worth trying out.

I was in Illinois for the weekend and was craving some sweets. I found this on my maps suggestion, stopped in and grabbed some goodies before heading back home. I went in around 1pm, so 1 hour before they closed, but they still had a great selection of donuts. Some people say they're pricey, so I went in looking to pay $5/donut. For 11 variety donuts, I paid $28, which equates to $2.50 a donut! It's a reasonable price for a small bakery. Definitely check it out if you're in town and don't forget to support local small businesses! Here are the flavors I got: Coconut cream, Biscoff, Cheesecake, caramel cookie, Raspberry PB&J, classic glazed, long John, cheese cakes filled, strawberry jam filled, red velvet donut cake.

I love a good donut. And a good fritter. One out of two is not bad. The apple pecan fritter was amazing! I actually bought it for my husband who was kind enough to save me two bites. Believe me that was a struggle for him! It had just enough apple and the pecans set it off just right! The donuts were just okay. The strawberry shortcake donut failed to impress and I wanted something to scream SNICKER'S DONUT but it barely mumbled. The final donut I got was the key lime pie which was the best out of the three. Good tang and the graham cracker (?) on top made this a good treat. We will go back for other tastings but definitely for the fritter.

I discovered this place because I was craving bubble tea. Not only are they one of few in the area with this drink, but they also have a ton of fun donuts. I got the ande's mint chocolate donut and it was amazing. They also offer a ton of other donuts like cereal covered ones. It's a little tucked away in a corner shopping market in a more residential area but definitely worth seeking out. read more

Such a cute shop with innovative donut flavors. I've been spoiled by all the donut shops in the city, and for a long time the suburbs didn't have anything comparable until Frosted opened. You can tell that they put a lot of thought and effort into their donuts. I'm a sucker for variety, so I always go for a new flavor every time I stop by. read more

What a great establishment. They currently close at 7pm Tuesday-Saturday but apple still shows 9pm. I arrived at about 7:15p. There was a young lady cleaning and she informed me they were closed- my heart shattered. However, I received two boxes for free from the owner?? Customer service is A1! Delicious & fresh donuts! Ok... so I was in Chicago and wanted to take home a couple dozen really good donuts to my kids since there are no good bakeries or doughnut places near my house. So pulled out yelp and this little place here looked really. amazing and like a nice family owned place The reviews on here must be fake. Not sure if they have all the family just giving high scores, but for starters the photos saying you get a dozen donuts for 11:99 is not at all true. You get A dozen plain tiny donuts for 1199. But the donuts in the photo that says it's $11.99 or actually $19.99. That was donuts are basically just tiny donuts you can buy from a grocery store with some cheap frosting on it and dipped in cereal. So I would recommend you just doing that go buy yourself some cheap donuts a can of Duncan Hines frosting and then dip that into Froot Loops or frosted flakes or whatever other cereal that this place uses. Next the young girl that was working is extremely hard of hearing, or she can't hear anything because the counters are so incredibly high you can't even see the worker. But all she kept saying was "huh?" And I am a boisterous 6'5" guy so I can only imagine there isn't many people that she can possibly here. Next there is no description of any doughnut and when I would ask her for one she was just giving me an attitude. So I just left with one apple fritter and I must say that was good. So I came in expecting to buy two dozen really innovative doughnuts, and I left with one apple fritter because I was so annoyed. this place is extremely overpriced. Service was bad. The doughnut seemed very cheap. I won't be back. read more

My wife is a huge donut fan so I get drug to many donut shops. Sometimes I don't even have a donut but when we went here, I had to devour a few as they were mighty fine looking donuts. I have been here a few times now and I have never had a bad donuts. Come here and then come back. Eat different donuts each time and see if I am not right. You're welcome. read more

Ist time there . Tried 4 different donuts all very good.Counter lady /owner also nice unlike the Dunkin' Donuts workers on Harlem ave that never smile ,and look at u like your bothering them to order.Also coffee better here.Dunkin going nutz on donut prices ,and just doubled their ice coffee afternoon special price. All done with Dun kin. Frosted is much better! read more

This business is not open. We drove to their location in Orland and there was a sign on the door saying they moved to Tinley. Drove to Tinley and the construction workers said they weren't open for business yet. It would've been nice for the website to be updated with that information. Additionally, the number listed for this business is not in service. Disappointed as we were really looking forward to patronize this small business. read more

I have been looking for a good donut shop around the area. I looked some places up online and came across Frosted Donuts in Tinley Park. The reviews were really good and the donuts looked delicious. I decided to go and I have to say I found my to go to donut shop now. The donuts are so good and fresh and even the girl there who was helping me was sooo nice I wish I would have got her name to add it into this review. My kids really enjoyed the donuts also. I also seen they had bubble tea which I heard was good but I have never had one before. I told the girl I wanted one but I didn't know how to go about ordering it because I never had one. She helped me out by telling me which flavors were available and which ones were creamy or fruity. The one I ended up getting I believe she said the flavor was taro which is like a vanilla bean. She had me try it in front of her to see if I liked it and yes it was very good. I love the tapioca balls at the bottom too. I would def be trying more flavors. Anyone who hasn't been here has to try it out the donuts are so good and the prices are good too. This is no Dunkin Donuts thats for sure because this Frosted Donuts places is way better than Dunkin no doubt about it ! read more

Another reason not to lose weight, phew! This place is cute and their donuts are simply delectable. While we were there they even brought out fresh trays of circular treats, oh my. I had coffee to go with mine and was impressed that it was Peets. For it being in a thermos, it was fresh tasting which surprised me. I had previously tasted some of their wares at my daughter's house so I had to come and check it out for myself, duh! I had a Almond Joy donut and a glazed old fashioned. They were scrumptious leaving me full then and still full. I wanted to try more but I couldn't fit in any more. Guess I will have to come back, yay! read more

A relatively new locally owned donut shop with a friendly staff and excellent array of donut options. Frosted offers a wide selection of reasonably priced delicious regular and gourmet donuts with the added bonus of Peet's coffee. We tried a variety of the donut options. Key Lime Pie was our favorite overall, but Glazed and Old Fashioned were also given high praise. This shop is definitely worth checking out! read more

It's Sunday afternoon and the dounts are fresh! Tried the snickers for the first time -YUM. The snickers topping wasn't hard and dry. A great pairing with easy chocolate frosting - perfect level of sweetness! A great variety of dounts as well a selection of jumbo dounts, cute decor, and friendly service makes this a must stop when you're in the area. read more

I'm always looking for a good donut shop, and since I was in the area I thought I'd stop by to check it out. There was a sign on the door indicating that all the donuts were sold out for the day and they were closing early. An employee came out to tell me they had a few donuts left if I wanted to come in. I bought six donuts. The few remaining donuts they had looked very good, and fresh. They told me all their donuts were made from scratch. After tasting, the donuts seemed homemade, but the fillings, the lemon filling specifically, seemed like it came from a can and did not taste like much of anything. But, let me tell you about the delicious sour cream old fashioned. So good! The sour cream taste came through in the glaze and donut was perfectly textured and cooked a tiny bit well done, as it should be. The yeast donut was light and fluffy and had a great taste and frosting. The Boston cream was disappointing, there was hardly any filling. So little that I can't even comment on the taste of it. The cake donut was fine, but the texture was a bit crumbly. Overall, this is a great place to get some good donuts if you are in the area. However, call first before making a trip to make sure they didn't run out. read more

They have a TON of donut options from classic old fashioned to gourmet ones topped with fruity pebbles. I had a butterfinger one this morning. It was good, but nothing I'm running back for. We also had a strawberry sprinkle and banana cream at the table. We've got 3 more waiting for us in the fridge tomorrow! It was an expensive donut run, coming in at $17 for 6 donuts and 2 coffees. It'll be our special treat place, but I think I'll stick to Mariano's or Orland Bakery for everyday donuts! read more

I went at 3pm on a Wednesday so it was slow, I'm not sure if it get really packed that it will take long or anything but the donuts are incredible! There are a few tables but you don't want to just buy one donut, you're going to want lots anyway so buy them and eat them at home or this is a great idea for the office! I believe it was the owner I met, very friendly service for her and a worker, the donut aren't labeled but they are happy to answer questions you have! read more

Seriously amazing! I consider myself a donut freak. I loved this place when they were open in Richton Park. I love them even more with the new spot and new decor. It's bright pink decor is fun and the chalk wall is useful & entertaining. The prices are reasonable with a dozen for less than $12. They had Pete's coffee which was fine and they will be adding more drink options later. I also heard the owner say they plan on adding bagels and oatmeal at a later date. They had some creative choices with cereal on top or Andes mints. My favorite was of course the Boston cream but their Old Fashions are a serious can't miss! The service was fast, accommodating and kind! A real donut shop worth checking out!! read more

Found Frosted Donuts while trying to find a bakery that would make a cake-sized donut. They never made one but were up for the challenge! Couldn't have came out more perfect. Went home with a dozen donuts the day I went in to order the cake-sized donut and another dozen when I picked up the cake-sized donut; they are the best donuts I've ever had. The staff were super nice and they gave me some good recommendations. Everything looked delicious. But there was one pastry that caught my attention the second I saw it: the Maple Bacon Doughnut. Sitting there with that thick maple glaze dripping over the edges and covered with crispy bacon pieces, it looked almost too good to pass up. The first bite completely lived up to the hype. The doughnut itself was soft and pillowy, while the maple glaze was rich, buttery, and packed with that warm cinnamon-maple flavor. Then the bacon kicked in. Crispy, smoky, salty, and just enough crunch to contrast the softness of the doughnut. The combination was ridiculous. Every bite tasted like someone somehow turned an entire breakfast into a dessert. Sweet maple, savory bacon, hints of cinnamon, and that fluffy dough all working together perfectly. Pure bliss from start to finish.

It took me about 30 minutes to walk the whole market. Parking was a bit tough in the adjacent lot but the downtown as a whole has great, free parking options. The sidewalks are wide so this is a very family friendly market. They also had a splash pad for kids to play in, family yoga from 8-9am, and a live band playing after yoga. Loved the sense of community this market brings to Tinley!

It is genuinely disappointing when youy want something to be great - yoy really want it to be GREAT and it disappoints A sudden donuts for $20 and frankly the sinus at Mariano's blows these away. We bought a variety of flavors fort the morning crew . Normally there is nothing left for second shift employees ever. With these there were a few left for a few days. We three then out. The flavors were nothing special. Maple bacon was neither maple not bacon and not anything special at all. The rest of the flavors were the same, disappointing to say the least. Might be inclined to try here again but seriously $20 for a dozen of less than average donuts is ridiculous. read more
