Donuts dudes yea it is dudes in here with attitudes. I asked for a sample of ice cream he told me they don't do that which they do (not my first time coming). Been wanting to visit this spot for a while and finally made it. Why didn't I get there earlier? Good coffee and great donuts. We got there mid morning and they were already running out of a few varieties, but they were plenty of options to choose from. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the donut selections. Stopped in and found VERY limited stock No one at the counter- she was busy in the back ??? I made one selection and it took 5 minutes , three package changed to find a suitable container for a frosted donut. I had a box for SIX donuts housing a quantity of ONE. While I appreciated that she did not want to smash the donut, clearly there are inventory issues. The donut was a strawberry filled cheesecake donut. It was FRESH, but not an overwhelming donut for a specialty donut. The filling was gelatinous, although generously filled. The cream cheese frosting was just ok. So points for freshness, some minus in the flavor profile. The shop had a few seats and was clean and bright. read more

Great specialty donut shop! Nice, clean and friendly feel when you come into the door. The display case was so inviting. Maddi was so pleasant and sweet to us this morning by giving us information about the business and the process of how some of the donuts were made: 3 specialty donuts for under $7 was a great deal. Park is behind the place. Special note to the chocolate frosted, my favorite, it melted in my mouth. It was so moist and fresh, you can tell it was made with love. read more

Placed an order off website, 3 days before I needed them. And was very disappointed that 4 out of my dozen were not available. They were the more expensive ones and I was never notified nor offered a refund. Although I did receive an email telling me they had to swap a glazed for an old fashioned and that I wouldn't incur any charge. Order for a managers birthday, and was SO DISAPPOINTED!!! The regular sprinkled donuts did look like the pictures on website, but the super expensive ones were missing all the "toppings". Trying to reach them is almost impossible. Do yourself a favor and save your money. Not worth it!!! read more

Good looking donuts. You got your basics, Boston crème filled, chocolate cake, etc.. and then you got a step-up in both decor and price. I brought them to a customer, so I didn't get any pictures. Service was friendly and prompt. The only complaint I have is the price point. Look man, it's just a donut.. it's great that you can put a life-like frosting made Cookie Monster on top of your yeasty dough ring, but the cost of materials are nearly the same as the regular old chocolate frosted one.. why am I paying $3.50 for one donut?!? Just an average donut, not really any better than the cheap generic chain place all over Chicago. For my first time trying, I ordered a Boston crème and a red velvet specifically to try a few different things. The Boston crème lets me taste the flavor of the yeast donut as well as custard filling and chocolate frosting. The yeast donut was bland, very average. The custard didn't have any real flavor to it and tasted like generic store bought pudding. The chocolate frosting was good! The red velvet lets me taste the cake donut, the chocolate flavor, and the cream cheese frosting. The cake was similar to the yeast donut - bland, a little dry. The chocolate flavoring was fine. The cream cheese frosting was very disappointing. Not only was it very light, it tasted more like regular frosting without any noticeable cream cheese flavor. I also wanted a cup of coffee but they didn't have any. This was at 8am. All in all, I love supporting small, local businesses. But I don't think I'd spend my donut dollars here again unless their recipes improved. read more

The two workers running the store were very friendly, the donuts were alright, some of the toppings tasted stale but others were great. It's a small donut shop mainly for grab and go. This is probably because I bought them near closing times. Very sweet donuts compared to others if you like desserts. read more

I wanted a treat after shoveling snow this morning, and I've been wanting to try Donut Dudes since the awning went up some time ago. They're open at long last, so I headed over there. So many choices, too bad I can't get one of each. The Nutty Buddy donut came highly recommended, so I got one, even though it looks like there's a whole box of Nutty Buddies on top. I meant to get coffee, but, unfortunately, they don't have decaf (yet). OK, small disappointment, but not a deal-breaker for me. I had heard that the donuts here were exceptional; I thought the price was reasonable. Got home with my donut, made some coffee, and sat down to watch Bake Squad on Netflix. Perfect environment all around. One bite of that donut, and, ooh, baby, it's a good donut. Even with all of that topping, it was lighter than air. I thought I knew good donuts, but this was in a class by itself. And the chocolate icing was smooth and creamy, and just enough to not weigh the whole donut down. By the time I finished it, I wished I had gotten two. I will be back, and next time, I'll get two. read more

Ok I walked in to this establishment and was expecting to smell delicious donuts and fresh coffee. I didn't get any of that. At 9AM, there were only a few donuts left in the window, and the vibe inside was cold and awkward. The lady working the counter was very friendly and nice but there was this other man that came out of the back, didn't say hello, had zero enthusiasm and quite frankly was looking at me like I was bothering him. Definitely not how I was expecting to be treated from a business that just opened up. Let's talk donuts.....if you are purchasing a dozen donuts and would like different variety's, they charge more! Expect to pay more than $30 a dozen! I paid $25 for 8!!! Completely overpriced. The donuts were the size of a basic donut. The dough was not greasy which I appreciated, but overall they were lacking flavor. I was expecting so much more. Not impressed and I don't think I will find myself coming back. read more

Update on my first review.. I've came here more times and have tried many different donuts. The donuts are delicious but like many other reviews I thought they were a bit overpriced.. however, now are having combo specials that are cheaper than many other places and they have this new GAME CHANGER donut! It's the one they have only on weekends which has the ice cream in the middle and it's pressed.. it's a warm donut with ice cream which gives it that perfect cold and warm combination. I drive by this place everyday and at times it was empty and I was worried a donut place would stay open and survive on just donuts but the owners seem to make a new exotic donut and have good combo deals which im sure will keep people coming back! Now my only worry is not getting fat! I hope they continue these business ideas and eventually add more breakfast items. I keep seeing people complain about parking and even though they don't have a parking lot there's always street parking. This place is a 10/10 read more

Very good! Donuts were soft and flavorful. The employees were very friendly. The store is clean and cute. We got a strawberry shortcake jelly filled donut, fruity pebbles donut, and a "lotus frostbite" which is a donut with ice cream pressed and topped with lotus crumble and caramel. Donuts are made at an off location in a gas station warehouse. Had to leave this location due too many shady things. Owners are the same former gas station owners that were located there and were shut down. Not my cup of coffee. **** DONT TIP via CASH, CREDIT, or DEBIT. Apiece. I didn't even have one of the deluxe creations, although they did look decadent. They have these frostbites which is a donut filled with ice cream and choice of toppings. Best thing I ever tasted. Their caramel ice latte is also soo good. The store is bright and clean and a really nice place just sit and relax or do some studying. Definitely worth checking out. I was in the area last week and recalled that the wife had mentioned wanting to try this place out. I had a little time to burn so I ducked in for a few minutes. Place has a very simple setup and appeared to be relatively clean. The young lady behind the counter addressed me almost immediately and was professional and friendly. I was honestly expecting a more extensive selection of donuts but was not disappointed. I would estimate that they had maybe 14 to 16 different varieties and they all looked decadent. I opted to pick up half a dozen to go and that amounted to $20 with tax, so basically around $3 per donut. I took them to my wife's place of employment and she offered me one which I didn't reject and I left the other 5 donuts with her. I took the Boston cream home with me and had it with a cup of coffee. WOW! Yeah, these are delicious and substantial sized. My wife text me later and thanked me for the donuts which she shared with her employees who thoroughly enjoyed them. So if you're looking for a spot with delicious donuts, although a little pricey I believe you will really enjoy the Donut Dudes. read more
