First time visiting Stan's Donut in Orland Park and it was just ok. Food was a bit pricey but it was delicious so you get what you paid for. Place was super cute for a donut and coffee spot but service was good but they were very confused. I wonder if they don't have proper training since they seem so confused. They forgot about one of my donut and forgot about my iced coffee. Didn't tell me that hash browns takes a few minutes extra so when we went back to our table and hash browns was missing after missing our donut and iced coffee, I had to make a 3rd trip back and I only ordered a few things. It took away from a wonderful tasting experience with inexperienced staff. I hope they give them better training for a more smooth experience next time if I decide to go again. read more

Love the ambiance of this place never been inside a Stan's before and I absolutely loved it. Service was actually great. We were greeted and treated great. The donuts however were incredibly dry. Stan's Donuts has the BEST coconut donut I've ever tasted. Its not too sweet and taste like coconut and those coconut shavings take it over the top onto excellence. Their blueberry gluten-free donut is also delicious with not so sweet icing. Their 32oz iced decaf latte with almond milk is also delicious. 1 bought 8 donuts and 3 coffees for a total of 35 bucks not counting the tip. Came back a 2nd time and ordered the Lemon cake pistachio old fashioned donut which was good and their Blueberry cake old-fashioned with Blueberry icing was also great. Stan's is an interesting place. A cross between Starbucks and Dunkin. Not as good as Starbucks but better than Dunkin. Every time I go here I feel like I am a low level customer and they just want me to pay and get out of there. I HATE THAT! I was ordering two donuts and two coffees and taking a table and enjoying the moment with my wife. That was my normal routine. And that has come to an end. But if you don't order big then they treat you small. So now I just order two donuts to go. This all being said here is the lowdown. The donuts are delicious! So we go here regularly. The prices are too high but who isn't? $3.30 is just ridiculous for one donut. The coffee is not good but acceptable. My last visit I had a specialty donut for $3.30. It was chocolate frosted and a white cake type donut. It was OK. The other was a standard for $2.30. My wife liked it but I don't think it was all that impressionable. So here is my take on the place. They need to improve their customer service dramatically. They need to increase their donut selections as there are few. And I would consider lowering their prices and improving their nasty coffee. If they do this they will remain in business. Otherwise they are going to fail. First time I tried Stan's, I wasn't exactly impressed. It seems way overpriced for what it is. I appreciate the fact they offer vegan donuts, though! My third time trying them I was prepared. I had scoped out the menu beforehand and knew the prices of everything, as well as all the offerings they served. The one thing I don't understand, though, is the fact they do not include calorie content. Yes, I get it, I shouldn't be coming here if I care about the calorie content of a donut. However, I was more concerned about their breakfast sandwiches and cold coffees. Online it is nowhere to be found. I don't dig that. However, this morning I stopped in for their ketowich with plant based sausage, scrambled egg, and cheese along in addition to a 32 ounce cold brew. The ketowich confused me, but I eventually understood. Why not wrap an egg breading around more egg? I found the calorie content of the bread online! 35 calories per slice! The sandwich was on the smaller side and it seemed a bit busy. The scrambled eggs were falling out and didn't cover the whole thing. The flavor was just "enh." The cold brew, at almost $6, was decent enough. I'm pretty sure my daughter will be begging for me to take her here soon, so I'm sure I will be back. During my visit, after completing and fully paying for my transaction, an employee continued to hold her hand out in an expectation of a tip. I typically tip in cash; however, the behavior that followed was concerning and inappropriate. After I did not tip, my order was handled carelessly. I was given a drink that did not meet basic quality standards, and my pastry was returned cold and stale despite my request for it to be warmed. This treatment felt retaliatory and unprofessional. Customers should never feel pressured, nor should service quality change based on whether a tip is given. I've purchased Stan's Doughnuts a few times at the Orland Park location. The building is really cute on the inside and outside. I love the decorations. The customer service can be improved. The workers are not the friendliest. But the store is clean and well maintained. The last time I visited was in May 2021, and there were not many customers. I didn't smell any doughnuts or coffee on any of my visits! I've ordered the coffee for $2.39. The coffee is very weak in my opinion. It was watered down and flavorless. I would not purchase it again. I've had the Glazed Doughnut, Plain Cake Donut, Coconut, and the Chocolate Sprinkle Cake Doughnut. Honestly, these doughnuts are overrated and overpriced. They are very dry, bland, and do not taste fresh. The texture is a heavier texture and they are not very sweet. Krispy Cream Doughnuts taste better if you're looking for a tasty doughnut! After 4 pm, they do not have many doughnuts left and the selection is picked over. So I recommend going there early. read more

They are terminally slow, I've given them several chances since they opened and they are S...L....O.........W.. Save yourself the aggravation and skip that long ass drive through line (or the even slower inside line) and just get your coffee/ bakery at the Starbucks a block from here. I did not try the bismark options. There are also sandwiches and coffee. The doughnuts were fresh and tasty. When I am in the area, this will be a regular stop. Stan's donuts are some of my favorite when I'm in the city so I was pleasantly surprised to drive by this location and discover I had enough time to stop for a treat. I ordered a few donuts and a latte, initially intending to take them to go. When I saw how cozy the space was with plenty of seating, lots of outlets, and good distancing, I decided to hang around until I needed to be at my meeting nearby. I love old fashioned donuts so I opted for a regular glazed. It was fresh and the glaze was thickly poured on. It has a hint of vanilla, making it more interesting than just plain glaze. The coffee was good and the drink was freshly made. Staff were friendly. I brought the other two donuts home to share with my husband later. He really liked the pistachio old fashioned and raved about it.
