WOW! These guys were lightning fast. I was in no hurry but they were fast at getting the food out. I went through the drive-thru. There is no speaker you place your order with a human. I was looking for a pork barbecue sandwich and onion rings and of course ice cream. They have onion chips on the menu but sadly they were out of them. So I got the crinkle-cut fries instead along with my pork barbecue sandwich and a marshmallow shake. After they take your order you park in front of the restaurant and they call your number out when it is time for you to come up to the window to pick it up. They were very quick in getting the food out and it was nice and hot! Hopefully next time I go they will have the onion chips. This restaurant was a nice stop. They have burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, ice cream, icees, floats.....I ordered the barbecue sandwich with bacon and cheese with a side of fries. It was delicious. The highlight of my meal however, was the Lemon Whip. It was so good. Reminded me of Hawaii's Pineapple Whip. The restaurant has a decent sized parking area. They do not come to your vehicle to take your order like some drive ins do. You have to get out and place your order or go through the drive through. It did not take long for me to get my food. The staff there is also very friendly. Once you get you food you have a few options. You can either take it home, eat in your vehicle, or sit at one of their picnic tables in front of the place. I have lived in New Pal almost my whole life. And it's an annual tradition to stop at least once a season to get food or even just get an ice cream. I don't live in New Pal anymore, but my parents still do so I still try and stop once a year. I didn't get ice cream or a flurry this time but did grab some grub. It's still so good and how I remember it growing up. I just ordered a plain cheeseburger with a small fry and a medium coke and a side of cheese sauce. My ice cream go to is usually a vanilla cone with crunch or a cookie dough flurry. Wish I would have gotten one of those to end my meal but alas. Been coming here since I was a kid. Frosty Boy has always been a must every summer and I've always looked forward to opening day year after year. We've given them numerous chances this year already but the only thing consistent this year is the rude staff and incorrect orders. The younger kids seem nice enough and to really be trying, but something is off. The manager or whomever she is, hasn't only been rude to us but we have observed her barking orders at the kids and being rude to them as well. She is setting the whole tone of the environment and it's rubbing off on the staff. I just miss the days when you could visit and be treated and helped by friendly faces, get your food in less than a half hour, not have to beg for ketchup and get 3 packs and have to keep going to ask for more, the manager didn't come to the table and paw on your food because she screwed your order up... I could go on and on but I won't. I even waited a couple weeks since the last fiasco to cool down before I reviewed because I didn't want to be too harsh! I'm really not sure if the woman we have had issues with is a manager or owner but hopefully something changes because this is not the old small town Frosty Boy we grew up with and loved! Customer service is a thing of the past I guess and if this would have been one incident I could chalk it up to a bad day, but this seems to be this ladies whole personality. As for the food, always check your order before you leave because they get mixed up or are missing items often and the hot dogs are an odd color, consistency and just yuck. read more

My favorite dessert is the pineapple whip, but they were only offering Lemon Whip this month. They tend to change the whip flavor every month. So instead of a whip, I ordered a medium chocolate malt and some onion rings. My husband ordered a strawberry shake, mom ordered a peach slushee and sister ordered a chocolate malt and a cheeseburger. We loved everything! We would go back for the burger and onion chips alone, although they're known for their ice cream products. Parking can be a bit tricky after ball games on a Saturday, or when there are large crowds... So be prepared for that. They also have a drive-through if you want to get it to go. I asked them to add extra flavoring, offered to pay for it and she opened with window handed it back to me and said "I made this correctly already". Then proceeded to argue with me about it not being made like I always get it (for over two years), and then yelled "HE WANTS THE MANAGER" and walked off. Manager was zero help.
