Twist Dipped Cone with side of sprinkles

We've been going to Mrs Curl's for the last 30 years and they always serve up good ice cream and food. Of course, the wait is always long but worth it. The chocolate part of the twist tasted like ice milk this time, so I took it back and exchanged for plain vanilla.

Took my grandkids here after a day at Rascals. They were delighted! Each got whatever they wanted. There r faces said it all. The staff was so friendly and gave the kids food to feed the fish and ducks. There's a creek , stream or something right next to this. Simply made for a fun experience and day!

Super cute, old-timey ice cream and snack shop. We visited on a chilly March evening and the service was so fast!! They have a great variety of classic ice cream parlor treats and also some traditional snack shack foods as well. They have only outdoor seating but it's a fabulous, large courtyard with chairs and tables. I loved stumbling across this little gem while visiting from out of town.

Always a long queue for this place so do expect a wait. They serve soft-serve ice-cream and have plenty of interesting flavors! There's a park opposite which makes a great place to enjoy your ice-cream.

I already want to go back. You get a ton of food for the price. The only issue is their menu is too big and it's too hard to decide. Seems like they have a pretty large group of loyal followers. This place reminded me of summer camp when I was a kid. We always used to walk to a similar place for ice cream cones. This was my second time here, I don't know how I lived in Greenwood for 6 years and I never went here. My first time was a few months ago on the first day they opened up for the season and it was freezing. I'm not a huge ice cream person and definitely not when it's already cold. I had the pulled pork sandwich and crazy fries. The sandwich was huge and came out piping hot. The crazy fries are made-to-order twisted potato chips. They were the perfect amount of salty and crispy. I thought there was no way I could finish it all but I definitely did. And could've eaten more it was so good. They are making all orders to go right now. You can still sit and eat but they have less tables and chairs out to accommodate for social distancing. I wish I lived closer, I would go every day just so I could make my way through the whole menu.

I've had the ice cream here, which is always good. On this visit, I tried food for the first time, and it was very good as well. I had the Chicago dog meal with home made chips as my side and an orange crush to drink. We also ordered a side of tots and a turtle Sunday. The home made chips were excellent. There were several dip choices to choose from. I picked ranch and ketchup. The food is definitely a must try while stopping in for some ice cream for dessert.

Kids loved the ice cream. Will be back for more. There's a line but it moves pretty quick.

Offers a variety of sweet decadent treats and reasonably priced. Parking lot is not designed for large crowds or lots of cars. Luckily, it was getting paved the following week as it contained a lot of dips. Shares the lot with a butcher shop. Small tables set up for relaxing and enjoying your ice cream. Although I was full from dinner, I felt compelled to at least try some ice cream. I opted for the small hot fudge sundae. Pecans are extra, but it was a small price to pay. Others got the strawberry sundae which looked good as well. I'll have to come back to sample other items.

Some places earn a five-star review after one visit…read more Heartland made me come back three times before I finally sat down to write one...and honestly, that's because I kept forgetting to take pictures. I first discovered Heartland's ice cream truck during a neighborhood yard sale. It was parked near the community pool on a hot afternoon, and I figured I'd grab a quick scoop before moving on. Then I spotted Blueberry Cheesecake and Lemon Cream Cookie on the menu. Decision made. While ordering, we chatted with the gentleman at the window and learned they make many of the key ingredients that go into their ice cream. The blueberry flavor actually includes pieces of homemade cheesecake, and the lemon cream cookie has real pieces mixed right in. After one bite, I immediately regretted not taking a picture because I knew I wanted to tell people about this place. Nearly a year later, we finally visited the storefront. I walked in thinking about exactly one thing: that blueberry and lemon combination I'd been craving ever since. I ordered it again...dug right in...and, somehow, forgot to take pictures again. Fast forward to this week. I discovered they sell a Blueberry Lemon Ice Cream Cake. Are you kidding me? My two favorite flavors, from my favorite ice cream shop, layered into a cake? There was no way I was missing it. I'm trying not to sound dramatic here, but if someone told me I could only have one dessert for the rest of my life...this would honestly be my choice. The blueberry and lemon complement each other perfectly, the cake is incredibly moist, and every bite reminded me why I've been thinking about this place for the past year. If you're looking for another chain ice cream shop, keep driving. If you want homemade ice cream made with care--and flavors you'll still be talking about months later--support this local gem. Just don't be surprised if you forget to take pictures because you're too busy eating.

We walked in and there were no other customers inside. Two men who I assume worked there were behind the counter, one on the phone. The other seemed to be doing a task or something. Neither of them acknowledged us but I made eye contact with both at some point during the first 30-45 seconds of being there. We started looking at flavors and I tried again to get an acknowledgment by saying "hello". No response from either man but the one on the phone looked at me again. I started walking towards my daughter and a man came from the Indian restaurant next door and went behind the ice cream counter to serve us but he offered no greeting at all either. I said "hello" to him and got the driest "hello" back. At this point I was not interested in whatever they were offering and my daughter asked if we should leave to which I replied yes and that's just what we did. Bummer because they had some interesting looking and sounding flavors so we would've definitely tried a few. I've never been in an ice cream shop with a bad vibe-until now. Not sure what was going on but it felt very unwelcoming and as if they didn't want us there. We were the only people in there so it made no sense that we would be disregarded from only a couple feet away. I may give them another chance because maybe it was just a bad day and I misread the situation, but I won't be rushing back. Makes me wonder why they spelled quality with a K, if you catch my drift. Seriously, that's how it felt.

Beautifully decorated and you'd never know it used to be a Bar Louie. I ordered the birria tacos and hubby ordered the molecajete. The molecajete came out looking amazing! Which was also very deceptive. The top of that is only like 4 cm deep. They bring it out and it looks like it's stuffed with meat. It is in fact, not stuffed and is pretty saucy. Almost soupy, like Campbells tomato soupy. For $37 and it's almost 2x the cost of an El Meson, we were not impressed. The birria was good but it's more flavorful at Pacos Tacos and again, half the price. The chips, salsa, and guacamole were above average though. The guacamole was super fresh and just had a really great flavor. For 2 entrees, and 2 sodas it was $81 with a 20% tip. The atmosphere is really nice. I might come back here for drinks and appetizers with the girls, but not for dinner. For me the quality and taste of the food was not worth the price tag.
