I used to like this place, but it has become really horrible. I think the owners changed. The topping were all old and dry. Also, the topping selections were AWFUL (no raspberries or blueberries). The machines were dirty and stinky. Normally, other places charge around .37 cents per ounce. They charge .41 cents per ounce. I don't mind paying if they have higher quality of frozen yogurt and toppings, but they definitely do not. I will not be going to this place...EVER!! read more

HONESTYLY....this place takes the cake. I love the flavors and most important their vanilla tasted just like ice cream its creamy and it keeps you wanting more and more. I like mixing the vanilla and raspberry flavors together with some strawberries, oreos and yogurt pieces and it turns out to be my own amazing creation. i wish there was one on my street that i can go to every night while jogging so ill eat and burn the calories off at the same time. I walked in today, and it was total nostalgia. I used to hang out at FroyoLife in high school almost every day. I would borrow a pack of cards from the register, and play with my friends for hours while we munched on some yogurt. Back then, I thought they had the best frozen yogurt ever, but I came back today, and it was just okay. They do have a variety of flavors (from a pretty decent vanilla to pineapple-mango sorbetto), but I was really disappointed with their toppings. They say they offer 30+ toppings, but no, it was more like only 20. At least half of their fresh fruit bar was vacant, and not much from their dry bar looked that great either. Still, it's one of the more decent spots in the area for frozen yogurt, but I wish it was as glorious as it was when I was in high school. read more

I recently visited this establishment and I have to say I was not only was I let down, but I was utterly disappointed. I was trying to have a nice evening with my family when I was disturbed by a foul stench. I wasn't quite sure what it was, so I asked an employee. The young man kindly went to dispose of this "smell". I waited for about 5 minutes (I was losing my patience) and this young women came with a mop and started cleaning the floor with water. I've worked many jobs that require mopping, and I have never seen anyone mop the floor with water, do you know how unsanitary that is? (Ever heard of floor cleaner?) Anyways, after 2 minutes of this girl giving me a dirty eye while she cleaned, she finished the task, and to my "shocking" surprise the store smelled even worse. Let's not forget the fact that when she left and went into the back she said, and I quote "f*** those people, complaining about the smell, f***ing white people". I was surprised I heard her, I guess the walls are super thin. I was done at this point, I gathered my family and I left the establishment. After I left the store, I had to teach my 6 year old son what the f-word was because he heard it many times from that employee. I really hope some one straitens out this young women. I was in the Glendale area for a Christmas dinner celebration a few days ago and decided to stop by after with a few friends. Love it, love it, love it! I had the peppermint froyo (since it is Christmas time) with peppermint bark pieces and mochi. YUM! It is a little more expensive than Yogurtland, but their yogurts taste a lot better and their variety is a lot better in my opinion. I had Yogurtland's gingerbread and it tasted like a watery spiced yogurt. I couldn't tell it was gingerbread. Parking can be a little game of luck because you have to find a parking stall along the street, but after 6pm, it's free! I found a spot a little further down, but it's a cute little area to walk around. They decorate all of the trees with white lights so park in any stall you can find and enjoy the little walk before you get your froyo treat. It'll make you feel less guilty ;-p read more

This place has a prime location, write in the middle of montrose. Its become somewhat of a ritual that my family visits after dinner and walks around montrose with our yogurts. Staff is quite friendly and the yogurt selection is always changing. Stays open plenty late. I love FroyoLife! They always have a good amount of yummy flavors that you can sample to your heart's content and they change them out frequently enough that you get a good variety! Great spread of topping options; you can make your froyo as healthy or unhealthy as you want! The staff is nice and this place is always bustling - it's a local mainstay and we all love it. FroyoLife is the standard that I compare all froyo places to and most fail in comparison. Yes, as good as it gets. Get a bowl, fill it with whatever yogurt flavor/s you want and top it with whatever you want, weigh it, pay it, and get lid if it's for to go. Every time I have been here, I have always been impressed with how clean and fresh the staff keeps the self-serve toppings. Love the plain tart, mango tart, and cheesecake flavors and the different combination of toppings I can put on! I hope places like this and Yogurtland shove over-priced greedy Pinkberry out of business. I will be the first to point the finger and laugh when I see a Pinkberry go out of business. read more

FroyoLife has really good yogurt but the only downside is that I've noticed a change in consistency. Let me explain what I mean. I really enjoy their grapefruit yogurt and am so excited when they have it, but it is sometimes too bitter. I know they use a mix to make these yogurts but I wish the same person would always make them or the proportion of ingredients would be the same so they always taste the same. Either way, their yogurt does not taste bad, I just hate it when I notice a difference in taste. When grapefruit is not offered, I always try other flavors but end up getting plain tart. They also have really great selection of toppings. read more
