Working on charming Honolulu Avenue I got first hand reviews from my own neighbors and local residents who raved about the variety of flavors and toppings. A coworker and I, who frequent Yolicious, decided to give it a whirl. You begin with choosing your size cup. Unfortunately there were only two sizes to choose from, the smallest being what I would've considered a large. Red flag! Next is the yogurt station. The variety is astonishing and must have carried at least 12 individual flavors for every palate, even the most discriminating of tastes. I went with creamy flavors and chose vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and pistachio. They had plain tart, fruit tart flavors and some mixes that were interesting like pistachio sugar free blueberry swirl. From the yogurt station you make your way to the toppings and help yourself, which i passed. I wanted to try their frozen yogurt and nothing else at this time. At 37 cents an ounce I paid an even $5.00 for my mix. The yogurt tasted more like soft-served ice cream and a guilty dessert even though they are a self proclaimed frozen yogurt shop. You can definitely go overboard with only the two sizes they offer. I felt guilty for getting much more than what would normally be portioned out elsewhere. I don't usually eat my yogurt in one sitting especially in a busy work environment and find myself having it sit for a minute or two between bites. Within 10 minutes of setting onto my desk the cup felt like it was going to disintegrate. So eat it quickly or double cup it. At the end my throat was phlegmy. Must of been all that sugar! And while the self-serve idea is a nifty, new and smart ly profitable concept I would recommend parents to monitor their younger children as observed by a yogurt purchase price of $9.47! I love walking here for some quick froyo, especially in this summer heat. Their flavors change every day (or so I think..). You HAVEEE to try their grapefruit tart. I hate grapefruit in real life, but in froyo form, it's my favorite! Their pineapple tart is also bomb but I haven't seen it in like.. a year. Don't know what happened there. They recently got blueberries too, which I'm ecstatic about. I couldn't believe they didn't have it as a topping for several months. Maybe it wasn't in season? I don't know. LOVE this place, I love how it is self-serve and switches up the flavors almost every day. Although I live about 45 minutes away, I go here every time I visit my parents. Sizes are medium and large, and I always fill my cup to the brim even if I can't eat all of it. When this place was Dolci Mango it was SO GOOD, and now that its called Froyolife its still just as good. I was never into frozen yogurt until I moved to LA, and have tried many places since. This places is the best. Yeah, better than the mangos and pinkberrys and yogurtlands. Just is better. Many more flavors and toppings than other spots. They also charge by the ounce! Yummy!!! I have lived here a few months and though this was just another yogurt place, but I was wrong! I just had my first trip to yogurtland in downtown LA(blew my mind!) and have been thinking about it ever since. So when I walked by FroyoLIfe this time I looked inside and saw it was similar to yogurtland and immediately went inside to try. I will say it is just about the same as yogurtland, but easier to get to. The only bummer is that it is 7 cents a ounce more than Yogurtland and didn't have the fun spoons. If it weren't so much more than Yogurtland I would have given it 5 stars because they even had the mochi toppings! read more

I really enjoy my frozen yogurt. As I was running an errand in the area, I was driving on Honolulu, when the bright interior totally caught my eye and then I noticed there were a ton of people inside. Being very curious, I decided to go in. Lo and behold another yogurt shop... but not just any yogurt. The flavors there were intense and vibrant! I've never enjoyed green tea yogurt at Pinkberry, Ce Fiore, Yogurtland and Red Mango... It doesn't taste green tea enough... but the green tea at Dolci Mango, you can taste it and it tastes so good!!!!!!!!! I raved to a bunch of friends who are just as intrigued as I was. I also really enjoyed the sugar-free blueberry... i'm against anything sugar free but this tasted great and you feel good about it. I also enjoyed the plain tart. Good stuff!! Also, toppings galore!! Who doesn't love loading on toppings to your hearts content. I'll definitely go back for the yogurt. read more

Walking distance from this place... Normally packed with people and you wait in line while they try to figure out the advanced intricacies of a frozen yogurt machine. Plenty of noise and kids running around and trying to get as many toppings as they can on their little to go cups. Very friendly staff. Always a smile and a thank you. That goes a long way. My favorite will always be the original so as long as they don't mess that one up, I'm good. 0.37/ ounce is a great deal and since it's nearer to me than any Yogurtland I know, I'll take it. I don't understand how Pinkberry is in business with self-serve places like this around, unless you're one to be able to taste the minute differences in the yogurt served. I went here yesterday for the first time. There were lots of moms with kids. It's nice they give little cups to sample the yogurt. I tried the vanilla, which was good but went with the plain tart yogurt. Pretty good selection of fruit and nuts. I put mango, peach, and granola on mine. I would've liked maybe some sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds... The teenage boy working was nice. I think the place was pretty clean. Up until about 2 years ago, I was a die-hard ice cream person... and then my friend brought me here. Now no frozen dessert can even come close to competing with FroyoLife. Their Reese's and Red Velvet flavors are absolutely amazing (especially when paired with white chocolate chips) and their selection of fruity flavors and toppings are just as good, if not superior to that of Pinkberry. If I weren't so well-versed in the art of self-restraint, I'd be here several times a week. And it was so good I had to bring some home with me to go, as I will be recovering from oral surgery and need something soft and yummy and cool to help me during recovery. So gave this place another try. I would truly reconsider the reviews here. Out of order machine. Dirty floors. The frozen yogurt melts so quickly - every other frozen yogurt place is much better. And most important not friendly atmosphere or open enough for someone to enjoy their ice cream. Doesn't have that ice cream vibe. Never going back. And worst is their unfriendly customer service. I ordered takeout online because I wasn't sure if I would be able to order in store. When I got there, it was ready on time and the guy who was working was really friendly. However, the froyo was NOT filled up to the top of the cup (not the top of the lid, the CUP) and it only filled half of the cup which includes the 4 toppings I got. I had paid extra for a medium so I was really disappointed. Also, the froyo was given to us inside of a stapled paper bag so we had already left before noticing that they had not given us any spoons. The other flavors are great alternatives (especially the Nutella), but being that I've been introduced to the pineapple sorbet flavor, I am often disappointed when it's not offered. Stopped in here the other day because I was craving something cold... and yummy. Well, it was just ok. They don't offer samples, you need to ask... ok that all right. So trying to get a sample in the tinny (again ok) container and the machine spit out an splashed on my shirt and pants, and a large blob came out and spilled on the floor. I quickly asked for assistance and a nice young lady came over with ONE napkin. She could see the splash on my clothing and said sorry. (Again ok). But I asked for a couple more napkins. Which she left to get then helped someone else. She did not return and didn't come back to clean the floor or the machine. I stood there and waited but left without purchasing anything. This is not better than Pinkberry, but in terms of choices for toppings and the tart, that's an added plus compared to Pinkberry and then... the price per weight, just made it even better!!! I chose like tons of toppings and mixed my Plain tart with Mango, still paid $5 only, that's a DONE deal!!! If I'm ever in Montrose, I will definitely get this!!! hello hello!! i found you at last.. couldnt remember the location or the name... cept something mango... found the restaurant we went to and then found the yogurt place accross from it. i had to find it and give it a 5. (especially after having yogurt from another store... could not compare to this place.) my first yogurt experience was from this cool looking place... we were there around 9 or 10 so there were no lines. we were like "what do we do where do we go now what what what??" we just grabbed a cup and filled it.. i had coffee + vanilla... oh so good... topped it with mango. friend had like 6 different flavors of who knows what. after paying $6 for two of us, the guy at the counter says "you can taste them. would u like to?" and im like UH YEAAAAH. tasted almost all the flavors... honey dew was sooo good... too bad i couldnt trade it in for my vanilla... rasberry there was good too... we finished it on our walk to the car... fun fun fun. id love to go again but its too far. :( read more

This is our goto FroYo place when we want to stay local. The yogurts taste very good, what I care the most is, they do not have that artificial taste from all chemicals like many other FroYo places do. Also there are decent variety of toppings including fruit compotes and three colors of boba. Plus it is in a great location so you can go for a nice walk after getting your treat or just come for dessert after having your meal at one of the restaurants in the area. read more

We have been coming to fro yo life for many years and we appreciate how cautious they were for the first two years of covid. I think we are feeling a bit uncomfortable now since they removed the plastic barriers and anyone can touch the toppings like a buffet and I think we'd feel like it was more sanitary if the employees wore masks. They're handling the food now without masks or gloves. I know things have changed with covid and we appreciate everything they've done in the past but we're feeling like when it comes to food service we'd rather frequent the companies that continue safe practices. I mean who wants to get covid because someone coughed on some toppings. I wish LA county could update their food services practices so there was a uniform approach. Anyways we really love this company and hopefully their employees will be willing to listen to some of their customers who want to stay covid safe. read more

Pretty disappointed in this location. Showed up this morning at around 11:30 to get some yogurt for my younger sister and the doors were locked. Pretty inconvenient since we had to drive over and pay for parking to find out that they were closed. This is a great froyo spot, conveniently located near all the shops and restaurants in Montrose. We always like to grab some after having sushi at Blue fish or Sake. The inside is always clean and bright. I have noticed that during their downtime, the employees are always tidying the place up. They usually have around 8 flavors of yogurt and plenty of toppings (way more than pinkberry). I like to add fruits, mochi and cookie dough to my yogurt. The price always comes out cheaper than pinkberry no matter how much I pile on. They also have board games which you can entertain kids with while enjoying your yogurt. Would def recommend grabbing a cup and enjoying your stroll in the neighborhood. read more
