So may things this company did of question during our hardest time. For starters their cost is outrages 16k and they hardly did anything. The guys who actually did the work and tore the house out got paid way way less! They refused to actually look for items they told myself whatever I needed saved needed to be staged in one area so I moved it myself in the living room. They couldn't follow instructions at all but it still took them 3 days to pack what little was actually being saved. Next they called us with the cost, they told us that with what they've done so far no cleaning just packing and bringing the items to their storage is 10k and cleaning and storing it would be more. If we would've known this cost ahead I would've grown everything away because it wasn't even 10k worth of items. They took advantage of the insurance company and us after our house fire. If someone didn't have Insurance this is completely unacceptable. FRS Team was sent by my rental insurance to do a pack-out and clean smoke damaged items following a fire in my house on Christmas night. About a week later, FRS Team arrived to do their work. They were very careful and professional in taking inventory, packing, handling, and cleaning my personal belongings. A team of 3 people spent 3 days packing everything out. They were very trustworthy. They found some money I had stashed in a secret place and then forgot....and gave it to me. They used giant piles of bubble wrap, paper, and cardboard boxes to wrap and pack every item. All my belongings were taken to their warehouse in San Leandro. It felt strange being separated from all my worldly possessions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Several times I called their phone number. The person who answered was always aware of who I was and what was being done with my belongings[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. After 3 weeks, my stuff returned to me. 3 movers spent 2 days returning everything. My stuff has never been so clean and refreshed. Every piece of fabric had been meticulously cleaned and was separately encased in plastic and hanging on a hangar. An antique painted statue had been cleaned thoroughly and carefully. Beds, couches, and the like had been cleaned so there was no smoke residue. The movers were very careful in how they packed and moved everything. Some (but not all) issues below: - It took them weeks and several emails to return our initial contents and almost 4 months to get everything else back (they quoted us 6 weeks). -[[HIGHLIGHT]]The administrators seem to never give complete information to the drop-off people, leaving us trying to figure out what was included and what was not.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] -Completely unsophisticated assessment process. When they first showed up we had just had the house cleaned and their rep sniffed the air and said "everything seems fine". I had to put his nose in an ash covered pillow for him to even understand how ruined so much of our furniture was. -They insisted that our rugs were salvageable and took them all. Almost 4 months later they declared them all total loss and returned them (after multiple communications) in much worse condition than when they took them. -Every delivery included contents that belonged to someone else. I am sure we lost things that were sent to the wrong customer too. They delivered us 40 items of clothing belonging to someone else. I am writing this review about the FRSTeam by Rogers in St Petersburg FL because they do not have a YELP profile and it appears that FRSTeam everywhere are as equally corrupt, deceitful and abhorrent everywhere. On March 26, 2025 a plumber hired to replace and outdoor water faucet for a hose set my home on fire. The fire was in the attic so my property outside of my garage was severely damaged due to fire department water, smoke and soot. My garage and everything in it was a total loss. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The DAY AFTER the fire when we were still in shock, Belfor Company who boarded up our roofs brough FRSTeam to our home. The FRSTeam by Rogers employee assured us his company would take care of us and come in package up our property, provide 3 lists of saved items, items destroyed and electronics[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. He stated they would then send us an inventory of everything to review and to notify them what property we would like, or refuse, to have tested cleaned and then stored for us. 1 month in and this company has literally attempted to extort near criminal prices and blatantly went behind our back to try and get paid from our insurance company without ever providing us the estimates, pricing and quotes we repeatedly requested to review and determine if we would continue to hire them to clean, test and store our property. It gets very concerning from here..... As the company WE hired we were to be provided the 3 lists (contents saved, contents loss and electronics) and review and they authorize which items are to be tested and cleaned once FRSTeam had boxed up and transported our property to their facility. We intentionally and soecifically told them DO NOT begin any testing or cleaning of anything until we review and provide them a list of anything we may decide to pay to have tested and cleaned as most of the electronics, clothing etc are old, not properly functioning or very old and we will not pay for testing of many of those items if not most. We made theme well aware that this money under my policy is NOT the INSURANCES MONEY to just shell out when any invoice is submitted. The DAY after we FRSTeam DELIBERATELY submitted an invoice for services already rendered but NEVER authorized for $72,000. And that did not include the 10 months of storage we are going to need to rebuild our home. The additional storage would cost between $45,000 and $50,000 on TOP OF the $72k they were trying to get paid. They never provided a single price, estimate or quote. We NEVER received all the lists to review and notify them if we would refuse testing and cleaning or not and THEY WENT AND PERFORMED TESTING on ELECTRONIC DEVICES that were in total not worth more than $3000 and attempted to charge us and have the insurance company pay them $16,000!! Plus additional fees for Electronics storage!!! The were never given authority of permission to perform and services besides pack up and transport to their facility and hold until we got lists and notified them of what we wanted done with the property. There have also been some very serious and extremely concerning things that have occurred with my kitchen appliances which were BRAND NEW when we bought them 3 months ago and when told they had removed all my property I went to my home and found that ONLY MY HIGH END EXPENSIVE OVEN was taken out of my home and all other appliances were left? When I contacted FRSTeam they stated ALL kitchen appliances were to be left at the property with the only plan of "just cleaning them all on site". When asked how they intended to test my smart appliances at MY HOUSE where there is no electricity or generator to provide temp electricity they stated "I couldn't tell you". So how were they going to tell insurance co if my appliances worked or were damaged if they had no plan of removing them from my home to test them? and again...WHY WAS MY BRAND NEW EXPENSIVE STOVE TAKEN FROM MY HOUSE BUT NO OTHER APPLIANCES WERE and WHY was my STOVE NOT listed on the first draft of their contents list and ONLY added when my OTHER appliances were collected per my request with my other BRAND NEW APPLIANCES because my house was being demoed and could not remain there? We're in the Eaton Fire area in Altadena, CA and had smoke, soot, and dust dame to our home. Our insurance company directed me to FRSTeam TCS Orange County (FRSTeam by The Contents Specialists). A representative came by to pick up a bag of my wife's and my clothing -- items we could get back promptly -- and promised to deliver in five days. It took 8 days. When he arrived at the house, most of my clothing was lost; half of my wife's was, too. He also brought four items of clothing asking if it was ours; it wasn't. With a promise of cleaning and returning the remainder of our contents in 6 to 8 weeks, we fired FRSTeam TCS because it was clear we couldn't trust them not to lose our clothing again. On about January 27 the representative promised a $75 Amazon card to make up for the loss (which wouldn't cover it all), After repeated texts to him, it's now Feb 22 and there's still no Amazon credit. Back in October of 2019, I had a fire at my place (neighbors fault). I was lucky in that nothing got burnt, but all of my clothes were smoke damaged. It's crazy how many solicitors will show up the day of the fire and automatically offer their services. Businesses like these are making money so they can charge it up to insurance. Anyone who's gone through flood or fire will know *exactly* what I'm talking about. It's almost like a feeding frenzy. I was recommended to this company from Giuliani's construction-- Junior to be exact who I had a horrific experience with. It's almost a year later and after all is said and done, I wish I could give this place 5 stars. But I can't. These are the reasons why: 1) My bill was over $7,000 and had it not been for my insurance contesting this, they would have tried to make more money than they should have. My insurance agent was able to negotiate it down. I'm all about fair and honest practices and after going through a fire, it's so important to me that you don't get taken advantage of. Been there, done that. 2) As you can see from my pictures, several of my blouses that were once "white" are now a beige color. I have no idea why this happened but Dustyn Chance (the rep) assured me that they would take extra care to read the labels and clean them appropriately. On my end, it doesn't look like it. My white hat also came back with this odd brown stain that goes from the top of the cap all the way down to the bill. My cream colored drapes also have a stain that was left on there. Why would a fabric restoration company that claims they are going to be "meticulous" about cleaning your clothes/ draperies let something like this happen?? 3) When it came time to deliver the clothes back once they were cleaned, Dustyn Chance was an hour late from the time we set up the appointment to have him come. He apologized and I was okay with it but because of that, the delivery had to be rescheduled because I had to go to work. Punctuality is key. 4) Just be mindful that if they clean the draperies, they will not install if they have to drill anything back into the framework. Once my contractors finished up the windows and repainted, they covered up all the holes from the blinds and used caulking to seal it off. Dustyn was supposed to come back and re-install the draperies + blinds. Because they cannot drill back into the framework (as per company policy), I told him not to bother coming. I had it installed myself. I am sure there are other Fabric Restoration companies who are much better than this- If you have gone through a flood or fire and need help finding a company to do this for you, I hope this review can help somehow. read more

It was all of our belongings in an entire 3 bedroom home that needed to be cleaned. Because of the situation, we were also unable to live in our rental while this was resolved. I finally went to wear my boots for a nice event 3 months after they were delivered. We were finally settled in our new home and had finally unpacked all of the belongings that FRSTeam cleaned. I immediately noticed my Stuart Weitzman boots were damaged. They had only been worn several times before and still in amazing condition when FRSTeam removed them from our home. FRSTeam also admits that they didn't have this damage when they arrived to them per pictures they took. Unfortunately, this company is still blaming it on me and refusing to take ownership or do anything to compensate me or fix the leather. It was a $15,000 bill to get all of our belongings cleaned and they won't take ownership for only $700. They have offered me a reimbursement of $23, the amount they charged to clean them. For anyone contemplating hiring FRSTeam to restore their clothes, furniture, paintings etc. following unexpected flooding in your residence, I urge you to reconsider. After a water leak in my recently deceased mother's house which caused considerable damage, it was recommended that I contact FRSTeam. The initial call with Michelle Basto was wonderful. She quickly sent over a team of movers, led by Jonathan Rodriguez, who were more than efficient in removing several clothes, water damaged upholstered furniture, wooden furniture, paintings, and some pillows. They were very careful with the furniture and even returned the next day to take a few more items. Jonathan assured me that I would receive an email with an inventory list of the removed items a few days later. I had not received anything in writing 20 days after the items were removed which prompted me to contact them. I was put in touch with Maria Tejada, Customer Care Manager. She then sent me a picture of all the items that were removed with very little information regarding their condition and no information regarding their proposed restoration plans. In response to the pictures, I wrote " Thank you - that was helpful. It looks like everything will be cleaned and restored - correct?" Maria's response was "correct". That was in January. I did not hear from FRSTeam for the entirety of February, so once again I started making phone calls. Michelle usually answered my calls but had no information regarding the restoration progress. I was referred to Dora Ibarra, Production Manager. I had several calls with her and she basically said that they were short handed due to the pandemic. In March, over two months since FRSTeam removed my furniture, I still had not heard the status of our belongings! After several changes in dates (and with Michelle's intervention) the furniture was finally delivered in mid-March. Jonathan was one of the movers who returned the items. The clothing was unpacked and clearly had been cleaned as they were all in plastic wrappers. All of the furniture and paintings were carefully wrapped. However, when they began to unwrap the furniture, stains and water damage were clearly still present. A leg was broken off of one table which obviously happened during the move. I was in tears at the condition of our furniture. Jonathan was also appalled and agreed that nothing had been done to restore these items. Aside from the clothing, the other items had not been touched since they were stored at FRSTeam in January. Jonathan took several pictures of the items and called his office to report the news. I called Michelle and she told me to return the furniture and she would look at it herself. I was not aware that FRSTeam sends furniture out to be repaired, which they simply never did with our items. Ten days after the ruined items were returned, Michelle told me to call Ross at FRSteam. I surmise that he is a supervisor. He informed me that they were trying to get my furniture on a schedule to be assessed for restoration. How interesting that this had not happened prior to this date. He claimed that he would call me the next day. So three days later I got a call back from him saying the furniture would be assessed the following week. At the beginning of April, I called Ross once again. He said they would have to look for a different restoration company. After several calls initiated by me, I was again referred to Dora Ibarra. Finally on April 27th I spoke directly with Greg at Furniture Medics where our furniture had ultimately been sent. He informed me that our dining room set (damaged in January, remember) could not be fixed. Unaddressed water damage for 3 months did not help the condition of this once beautiful dining room set. I made several phone calls to Dora in May to attempt to get a copy of the invoice from their company. She was very resistant to letting me see it and this took several attempts. They delivered the remainder of our furniture on May 25th, except the table that was still being repaired. On July 17th I sent Dora an email inquiring about our table with no response. I called her phone, only to be told that she was not in the office that day. So, I called Greg at Furniture Medics who informed me that the table had been ready for two weeks but Dora had never answered his calls! Dora called me that same day (strange, since she did not answer my previous call) saying that Greg had just contacted her to say that the table was ready. I informed her that I initiated that whole communication. FRSTeam delivered my table last week, more than 6 months after they retrieved the items. I would never recommend this company to anyone. When your disaster first happens, you are so shocked you don't take the time to research. The initial outreach was great, but the rest of the process was a nightmare. In 2017 there was a fire in our city... our county... our neighborhood. Our home was damaged, but left standing. Not burned to the ground. And we were left with things that could be saved and things that couldn't. One thing we thought we could save was a rug. A beautiful wool rug. A splurge in the first years of our marriage. Something we expected to have a very very long long time. Enter the "FRSTTeam restoration company... who came out, carried our things to the truck, and chucked them in. The guys that took our things were rough and surly. They were not friendly or professional, did not make eye contact, and grunted answers. They did not know how to roll up the rug. I had to show them! They were trying to "fold it". The van was unmarked and stuffed to the brim with other people's things already. I was concerned there wasn't room for our belongings. One of the guys actually physically blocked me from walking up and looking into the van to see if our things would fit! I am convinced this company hired some guys off the street to pick up fire survivors things. I was heart-broken at this time. Our life, our neighborhood, our friends, and our town was in ashes. I didn't have a good feeling, but then nothing felt good. I wish I had listened to myself.... Around 9 months later our items were returned (along with someone else's shirt and pants). Things were wrapped in paper and smelled clean. The dry cleaning was done well. But our rug was missing!!!! They said it must be in the warehouse. They said they would look. For weeks they told me they were "looking". They said maybe it was transferred to another storage facility. They said they were looking, but only when and if I called and asked. And I had to repeatedly call. How does a room sized , heavy, wool rug just disappear? After a few months it felt like they lost interest. They gave up. They had lost our rug. The fire didn't take it. They did. Back and forth for almost 2 more years. They wanted a receipt. We didn't have a receipt. The store had since closed and who keeps receipts for rugs?! We sent them pictures, we gave them the name and dimensions, we told them the store we bought it from. They said they were looking into it... They argued about the size. They argued about the value. They offered excuse after excuse. Three weeks ago they offered us $2,000. Not enough to replace our rug, and of course the design is gone, but we agreed... because it is really time to move on. They asked us to send them pictures AGAIN. Even though their guys took pictures. Even though we have sent pictures. We sent them pictures again. And heard nothing... crickets to our phone and email inquiries over the last three weeks. Well, we got an email today. $500. We were sent a condescending, self aggrandizing, email offering us $500 for a rug well worth almost 10x that amount and something they offered $2,000 for 3 weeks ago. They say the "carpet is old". That "Its been years since the fire". They admit it is their fault it is gone. The admit they lost it, but say "it's been so long". Then they told us "the claim has been closed". We have never been told anything was "closed" and certainly not 3 weeks ago when they offered us $2,000. The rug was was beautiful. We bought it with the expectation we would have it "forever". The rug was not burnt. It just needed the soot and smoke to be removed. It just needed to be cleaned. It was a beautiful rug that should be being passed to our daughter. We never dreamed we would have to grab our children and pets, jump into the car at 3:30 am and run from a wildfire burning down a neighbors home 2 doors away or that our neighborhood would burn, but our home would be spared from complete destruction, or that the things remaining would be damaged and need help, or that the company hired to help us would be the ones to only hurt us more. Many people we know have horror stories of restoration companies ripping them off in a time when they are already dealing with grief and disaster. We didn't imagine it would be us too. This company was contracted by the insurance company and because the insurance company is paying them, their customer service is HORRIBLE. They took every single textile from the house after the fire. When I got my stuff back, every single of my clothes was ruined, discolored and stretched and many stuff, especially good ones were MISSING!. I wish I never heard of this company. After a fire my insurance company sent them in. I told him exactly what to take. As soon as I turn my back and went to another room Cliff went upstairs went through all the drawers and the bed basement bedroom all the drawers anything he found he took to be clean then they told me I had an $8000 bill. He took things that I was going to throw away. I think they're trying to do this to pad the bill. My insurance company came in on it and brought it down to 5000 this all came out of my personal Property to fix my house. They claim they have a great system and they know what clothes they've taken and they take pictures I found other peoples clothes in my clothes. I told them what I gave them to take I want it hung up and still pieced together I got thousands of clothes back pieces everywhere my suits don't even match each other I don't know what belongs with what. Some of my clothes are missing. They had my finals balled up in bags that they were going to throw out. I requested all my clothes back. Took those to American cleaners for $400 an item. Cleaned beautiful. Do not fall for Mr Machitashes line they gave special machines to clean clothes only. it was the biggest disaster of my life it was worse than the fire. It will take me months to match clothes and belts up. Do not use this company. Mistake of Alice time. This company is awful. Every statement cited above is true. They rampage through your house, take things you did not ask, rifle through your belongings to see whats worth it. They took clothes that seemed perfectly ok, with tags still on them, then tried to deny I even gave them. Their customer service think I work for them. They were rude, even mean. Using this company was an awful experience. They were to pack up my belongings in my apartment for repairs to be done. When things were returned there was damage, breakage and missing boxes. Their packers did a terrible job packing. Not warpping items in paper. Things just put or thrown in a box. The boxes were to be put in a pod so as not mix any items up but pods were not used. I had boxes in my apartment that did not belong to me and as I said boxes of mine were missing. My tv was found unboxed in the wearhouse five days after the initial delivery and didn't work. Please do not do business with this company. I suffered from an intense mold infestation in my last house. Trusting this company, I brought some of my items that were affected by the mold. Got them treated and guess what? They STILL smelled like mold! After weeks of waiting for them to be treated, going back and forth back and forth. And the person who was helping us was just rude. We had to have them re-do the treatment. And guess what? STILL smelt like mold!! This company was a complete rip off in my opinion. They took weeks and weeks to clean my clothes, and it was only a few pieces of clothes. I looked online, made up my own mold removal concoction, and that was wayyyy better than what they did. WORST company EVER!!!! These people are THIEVES and LIARS, they RUINED the clothes we gave them, tore holes and rips into them, left stains on them that were NOT there before we gave them to frsteam. They also took apart our electronics and removed parts of them, then sold them, the HDD on both our computers were missing. They did not even ATTEMPT to clean anything because this company is nothing more than a THEFT RING. Stay as far away from them as you can! I hope I never have to deal with these people again! We only had a fire in our garage. I felt helpless with these people. I never felt comfortable with these kids. They kept asking me what what I wanted done. Then to deal with them trying to get everything back was ridiculous. And it all smells of cleaning fluid; it's nauseating. I've had to wash everything first or take it to the cleaners. Plus several damaged items that can't be replaced. BUT, what is really bad, is they took my electronics and charged an arm and a leg to do hardly anything. Half of the items they took were in a room that had barely any smoke, but they took it because they wanted to be sure. THE PRICE WAS OUTRAGEOUS!!!! They charged for everything, like disposal, packageing, mileage, loading it in the truck, and unloading it out of the truck. Now 8 months later they are telling me the insurance company hasn't paid them and that I still owe them for electronics. The insurance company paid them for clothes twice, but they didn't say anything to them about that. When it was discovered that the dryer had smoke in the drum, they said they'd have to dispose of it. They also told me that the insuranace company would pay them to dispose of it, then they would clean it up and sell it. NOW, why did they not just clean it up and give it back to me. I hate my new washer/dryer and could have lived with the old one cleaned up. That really makes me mad that they screw the insurance company over on that one. No telling how much extra income they make selling peoples cleaned up items and then sell them. How dishonest!!! I feel that this company is run by a very young generation and they don't have catastrophe and restoration experience. I did not employ this service. However, if the gentleman's actions are any indication of how this company does business, steer clear. We were guests at a local bed and breakfast in Cape May, NJ. My husband and I were trying to get out of the parking lot and this man parked his vehicle to block the entire path. We waited patiently for him to return, approximately 3 minutes. He then comes out, sees us, ignores us, and goes back in the house. A couple minutes later, he comes back out with breakfast from the hotel and gets in the passenger side to eat his breakfast while he can clearly see my husband's vehicle trying to get out of the lot and another vehicle waiting as well. A few more minutes go by with him eating his breakfast and the other guest gets out of his car and asks him to move. It was incredibly rude. I would avoid this business! read more

Do not pay them ahead of time. They demand I paid them before delivering. Then few days later I report to them of 5 missing items, plus damage items. This people are not responsible at all, they make me feel that I'm lying to them. This company appears to be a fraud. We cannot get communication after almost a year. First Team was hired by our insurance company to clean all of our ruined goods. Instead of only collecting the ruined goods. First Team was sure to take every single jacket belt bag and clothing item from all of our closets. They were paid per item they cleaned. When they returned the dozens of boxes, our clothes were supposed to have been placed back however we had to unpack for weeks. All of Ma furs, leather goods, boots bags belts and designer jackets were destroyed. They left the house in perfect condition. And were ruined by First Team. It appeared they put them through a water process. Do not let your insurance company overpay this company to restore your damaged goods. Take your clothes textiles or goods to a reliable dry cleaner. I became a client last year due to a very unfortunate incident. Last year my apartment was damaged very badly by all the flooding/water damage from putting out a fire in the apartment above mine. My Property Field Claims Representative with Farmers Insurance, had recommended FRSteam to help clean and restore all my wardrobe, textile, soft goods. All my clothing, shoes, bags, bedding, towels, rugs, were all taken to be cleaned and deoderizd due to the smoke and water damage. Lisa Gussack was a pleasure to work with. She was excellent, professional and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and updated with the process. All the staff that I head to deal with were very reassuring and great to work with. I was very happy and relieved with the outcome of all my goods. Almost everything was restored and it save me from having to get a whole new wardrobe and restore all my soft goods. She was very responsive and we quickly reached a fair agreement. She went above and beyond to deliver my items back in clean boxes and even some of the items were cleaned at no charge. I had no choice but to use FRSTeam per my insurance. I absolutely hate their service. I was to get my clothes back on a "rush" service. "Rush" service to them means 3 weeks, only to get my clothes back dirty, ruined, and still smelling like smoke. The next drop off I was to get all my TVs and only received 2. Customer service Stacey .......is a little left to be desired. They schedule a time to drop off they show up 45 mins to an hour later. With the excuse of "weather" everytime.
