Faragon was wonderful to work with!!! My upstairs neighbor had a flood, which impacted my apartment and a few others. Communication with Faragon was EXCELLENT - specifically with Nicole and Kristina - I just love love love them and can't say enough great things about their customer service - they are so friendly, thorough, understanding, and follow up in a timely manner. I could always call them and get through - Someone always picked up the phone, which I appreciated! They were always able to answer my questions quickly and were extremely helpful. I still have PTSD from the flood, but their support and updates made the process more bearable, and I'm so grateful for them. Faragon sent a team asap to come inspect the walls, floors and ceilings for water/damage, and they set up big machines to suck out the water and dry everything. It took the machines 11 days to eliminate all the water/moisture in the laundry area, bathroom, hall closet, and bedroom closet. The machines were extremely loud and heated up my apartment to 88 degrees - so I had to evacuate with my bunny because I couldn't even think straight with the noise and heat. No sheetrock/drywall or floors needed to be repaired. I contacted the business as instructed - was told to email them and then was ignored. My property management company hired them to deal with an water incident I was responsible for. First, they installed dehumidifiers and fans - unfortunately, they were done incorrectly and they kept on shutting down. In spite of this, they still charged for non-operational machines, Then they prematurely scheduled a demo and since the techs had nothing to do, they billed approximately $1,000. The inspector was nice and informative but their office still over billed and under delivered. 1 would not use them again. read more

While I did not actually use their services (they were booked), I'm giving this company 5 stars for the awesome customer service I received. After I left a message through Yelp, Christian promptly called me back to let me know that he was booked up. He then proceeded to answer my questions and help me out for the next 30 minutes - how great was that! He gave me lots of good advice about how to handle the kitchen sewage leak in my crawl space and what types of questions to ask OTHER vendors and the whole time, he knew he wasn't going to get a dime! Judging by the 5-star reviews/ meant for smaller jobs - we are a large co and the project they did was mid-sized, with a duration of 8+ weeks to complete. While the owner of the company is very personable, and a natural sales person; the owner's affability could not make up for the level of unskilled labor (only one journeyman worker out of 1/2 doz workers) def lack of management, and administrative inefficiency. This is a company cutting its teeth for larger jobs and well, if you want a professional job for larger projects, go elsewhere. read more

No one wants to be woken up at 2:30 in the morning, and certainly not by the sound of running water. That's exactly what happened when the valve behind the refrigerator popped, spraying water out like a fountain. I threw towels everywhere and emailed Faragon Restoration. The Faragon team showed up the next morning, took measurements and jumped in with dehumidifiers and blowers. We ended up escalating to 5 dehumidifiers, 7 blowers and 8 heated vacuum mats. Christian Munk, the owner, met with me at each step, explaining the process and giving me choices. I relied 100% on Faragon's expertise and I felt confident the floor would be preserved. Over the next 10 days, the Faragon team stayed vigilant until the floor dried out and moisture measurements were back down to normal. The old dishwasher from the previous owner leaked and flooded the kitchen and floor underneath. My insurance company told us that it will be a total gut job for the first floor of the condo. Instead of using the restoration company that the insurance company recommended, I decided to hire Faragon based on Yelp review, instead after getting bid from several companies (total cost $18725.96). Project started in mid May, didn't finished until almost end of October with Faragon only did the demo and restoration work including kitchen floor tiles. Other items such as plumbing, electrical and lighting, kitchen cabinet purchase installation with counter top, wall tile work, hardwood flooring installation and appliances purchase and installation etc were all done by the myself with other contractors. Kitchen floor tiles was the last part of the job and Faragon took two weeks to do the 100 sq ft job, and then left one 24 x 24 tiles off among other small trims (paid $13863.5 at that point). I communicated with them that I want to get it done before a certain date (3 weeks at advance) and at the end, I need to hire someone else to finish the tiling and grout because their tile person GONE WORK ON OTHER JOBS!!!!. They DIDN'T finish the retouching the paint nor cleaning up after the project was completed. And they have the nerve to ask me pay them for completing the project, and put a LIEN on my property. After negotiation, they agreed to knock $400 off from the final bill ($4400) which include $1000 for completion of the project in which they didn't ($18263.5 in total). Check was cashed by Faragon as soon as they get it, but they still won't remove the lien and close the permit!!!!!! Their work is not bad, do as they were told, foreman Vernon was great to work with, but their accounting person Jessie is a piece of work. And their owner Christian stop communicating once I pointed out what their contract cost was (their own documents) and the amount was paid with evidence, yes, I paid them by checks and have records. read more

There was a very significant leak next door that flooded into my entire bathroom, and wood floors in my kitchen and living room space. My building management had used Faragon for other leaks and recommended him to me. Christian and his team came within an hour of me calling him. He clearly laid out his proposed plan, never once did he make me feel like he was pushing extra services onto me (which can happen in these types of situations where time is of the essence and you don't have a lot of choices). He explained what his recommendation would be to salvage my floors, and once I agreed to the plan, his team immediately started to take care of the place. That included removing the baseboards to let air flow, sucking up the moisture from the floors using special mats. He came back regularly to check on each section, being considerate of my schedule. It is not an exact science to drying wood floors since wood can vary depending on the type and level of moisture (so I learned!) and he was very thoughtful in his approach to getting my floors thoroughly dried. He's the type of professional you can trust and depend on to do a great job and truly care about getting it done. Also, I felt very comfortable with him and his team. I've never written a review, but felt compelled to do so because my husband and I think that Faragon is fantastic! We woke up to a flood in our kitchen one morning and were at a complete loss. Faragon promptly responded and quelled our concerns. Christian Munk and his team dealt with our HOA, which could have been a huge headache and they were very helpful in dealing with our home owners insurer. We ultimately had to replace the entire floor in our condo and Faragon facilitated that process as well. They provided samples, helped us to find an economical solution and replaced our floor as quickly as possible. Emmanual and the flooring team did a great job; we ran into a major hiccup that required them to pull of 3/4 of the new floor, they did so without hesitation and squared things away promptly. In the process of installing my new walk-in bathtub, the installers discovered significant dry rot beneath the linoleum flooring. They stopped work immediately and informed me that they could not continue until the floor was repaired -- something they were not licensed to undertake. My HOA property manager recommended that I engage Faragon Restoration, Ltd. to address the problem. A crew from Faragon arrived the next day and began work immediately. They did such an excellent job of restoring the floor, baseboards, and affected lower walls that I also hired them to reconstruct and repaint the bathroom door and frame (dismantled to accommodate passage of the over-sized bathtub), even though this restoration would have been covered by my contract with the bathtub company. I then hired Faragon to paint the rest of the bathroom, plus the kitchen, which included refinishing maple-faced cabinets. I was so pleased with these outcomes that I contracted Faragon to paint the entire remaining interior of my two-story condominium. As they worked, the crew carefully covered all surfaces and contents to protect against paint splatters, sanding dust, and miscellaneous debris. Thereafter they thoroughly vacuumed, dusted, and cleaned, leaving everything in excellent condition. The Faragon workers were unfailingly professional, skillful, and good-natured. We have used Faragon three times in the past couple of years after major leaks and flooding in our 1930's era condo building. We call them back because Christian and his team are reliable and respect our building, leaving it clean and making sure it stays secure. (Some contractors leave junk all over the place and leave doors open and units unsecured.) Christian clearly explains the problem and lays out options for fixing them. Most recently we had a leak that affected three floors and two apartments. Christian was here right away with equipment and a crew to attack the problem. Dry-out took forever because the building materials are pre-war era and the affected area was difficult to get to. Christian monitored progress on a daily basis, accommodating unit owners and their schedules. He left machines over 10 days, capping costs at a certain point when he could have continued to charge us. My in-law apartment got flooded badly due to the heavy rain. I called Christian from Faragon based on the good reviews on yelp. He came to estimate the damage, but due to the bad weather in SF, he was fully book. Therefore, he could do the restoration job himself. However, he spent an hour or so to explain to me how to restore the apartment, what would be the best plan, and even helped me calling other restoration companies which are very professional and reliable. He suggested how to take care of the leak on the roof to prevent similar things happen again. I had no experience at all to deal with such situation, so Christian gave me a lot of valuable advice and made me very comfortable. I highly recommend Christian for any restoration work. read more

We had an overflow problem in our bathroom that flooded our dressing room the morning we were leaving to go out of town for a week. The rug was ruined and the sub-floor was soaked. When we returned and had the plumbing problem fixed, we called Christian at Faragon Restoration about cleaning and disinfecting the mess. He spent half an hour on the phone with us when we first called, giving us a lot of valuable information. Then he came to the house the next day, spending well over an hour, giving us his recommendations and going over our options. He felt the problem was not serious and totally manageable and in the end we decided to do the work ourselves using an industrial product that Christian recommended. I'm writing this recommendation because Christian was so critical in the clean-up even though he did not do the work. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Excellent work, done on time, at good prices. Originally called Faragon to restore my apartment that had flood damage caused by a broken pipe on the floor above. The work included some drywall demolition, wetness investigation, drywall replace, and painting. Done on time and looks good as new. They proved to be honest, trustworthy, timely, good pricing and did excellent work. They also repainted the entire apartment. This is a rental unit I own and, as I live 2500 miles away, these attributes are essential to get the work done without having to sit in a hotel wasting time and money. I then inquired about other work that needed to be done in the apartment that was waiting for the right workers.
