    Ube Latte w coffee jelly

This is a cozy and serene haven in which to enjoy your coffee and treats. I wasn't expecting much from the egg and avocado croissant-- I was just hungry because I hadn't eaten breakfast. I was surprised because it was cold--it was egg salad (I didn't read carefully) but I was Delighted. The miniscule bits of chopped apple(?) gave it a slightly sweet taste, and my friend and I shared this amply-sized sandwich. I hope this is a regular menu item because I loved it. My friend had an iced hold crush (Dalgona) latte and I had a tiger sugar latte. I left to run errands and my friend worked in their laptop.

solid coffee and a nice place to study or work. there's lots of light, but not that much seating. I went on a wednesday afternoon and there was only one other customer seated. this is a small, korean coffee business. i bought the dalgona coffee iced and thought it was very tasty. not too bitter, not too sweet. i would definitely order this drink again and come back whenever im in the area. as for the location, this is located in a plaza. there is a parking garage that says the first 3 hours are free (but there was nowhere to grab a ticket and you can just go in and out of it? so idk how they're tracking time), but from the garage, there's a staircase that leads upstairs into the plaza. friendly customer service as well. 5/5

There was a Yelp event here a month or two ago and although I'd thought about signing up it wasn't something I was going to be able to make it to. However, when I was in Highland Park to shop I remembered it was nearby and wanted to give it a try. They also have non-coffee drinks--an appreciable number of them, when oftentimes coffee shops have chai and that's about it. It was hard for me to find in the shopping center in which it's located, but that may not be a problem for a HPer. I was parked on 2nd Street but it's around the back of the shops that face that street. The shop itself looks very comfortable with some high-top seating, chairs, and tables. I ordered to go, but it looked like a quiet and comfortable place to hang out and maybe get some work done. I ordered a strawberry galaxy lemonade and it was delicious and pretty to boot. I'd happily order it again. The woman who helped me was quick and friendly. She may have been one of the owners; I understand that it's a family owned shop. I would recommend the place.

Whenever I'm in the neighborhood I try to stop by this place. I love the open/modern decor of the coffee shop. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. I tried their bullet proof coffee and croffle. Their croffle is really delicious! Slight crisp outside coated in a light sugar syrup and soft inside. To me the texture was great and it didn't taste too sweet which is nice for me. I like desserts/pastries that aren't overly sweet. Their bullet proof was pretty good too. It had a good balance of the coffee, butter and a hint of the coconut oil taste. Not acidic and it didn't need anything else :). If you are in the area stop by this place! Cute place to do some work or just to chill and eat your food. It's located in the plaza so if you don't look you will miss it. Street parking or public parking available. FYI if you're looking for a bathroom they don't have one. I believe there's a sign pointing you where to go.

This cafe has a nice, cozy vibe with plenty of seating. The owners are always so warm and friendly whenever I go. The drinks are never too sweet or bitter! Although it's street parking, I do always find a spot. It's also a bit hard to find the cafe the first time you go since it's in a plaza!

the ambiance was so nice! Visiting from Chicago & I love this coffee shop so much. My girlfriends and I sat here for hours talking & catching up. The coffee was amazing. The service was so nice, greeted upon arrival. The owner knew their regulars. Love it!

I could move right in. Ube Latte was phenomenal, balanced perfectly sweet and bitter, ripe purple against black espresso. This is the sort of house crafted syrups and superior java juice that gets me going for foodie culture. Harmony plays nice with all chords, served my friends an excellent super drinkable strawberry smoothie, noticed many other colorful sips grabbed during just our short hour up til closing. The ambiance is praise worthy. Refined and comfortable, a bit open and not offering max use of space, but giving air to all the friends and work one can easily enjoy here. Parking wasn't as difficult as it looked. Took longer to find the entrance hidden under the big overhang, this visit shot the spot right up to the top with few others out of the many in greater Chicagoland I have been to. What a song!

Very nice little hidden gem coffee shop in Highland Park. Comfortable seats and tasty snacks and drinks.

I visited Harmony Coffee Bar when it was under its original name, Coffee Speaks. It's a clean and inviting space ideal for study or work. I revisited Harmony on a day off due to my last positive experience having their Gold Crush Dalgona latte served hot. I'm not into coffee because I have acid issues but I didn't have any problems afterwards so I figured I'd come back and try their cold version. If you haven't tried Dalgona Coffee, you'll probably want to. Dalgona's origin story hailed from Macau but Harmony's Korean version of Dalgona is not frothy but rather made in a toffee/candy form. The end product (gold toffee nuggets) is what makes it unique. The nuggets eventually melt into the drink and give it a distinct toffee profile. The color is brown leaning. It's darker than your vibrant orange Thai iced but is similarly sweet. I want to emphasize that the drink is sweet so make sure to pop that metformin prior to consuming. Or expect a sugar rush.... Or a crash. I can't handle coffee as well as I would like and find it unfair to give this place a poor rating due to that. Sensitive coffee drinkers may want to go with the hot versus the cold version. Although not as IG worthy, it will save you some acid issues. Visit Harmony Coffee bar and try out their Dalgona Gold Crush Latte. You might discover your new favorite drink.

This coffee shop is such a vibe! Before I get into details, I just want to say, I can't wait to come back! I was able to ask the owners questions about their shop and their food during an early morning visit but they were very helpful and easy to talk to! The aesthetic of the shop is really relaxing. The colors are neutral and cool but you can see a lot of the character and personality in it. The menu is fun because you can order the usual coffee drinks like cortados, lattes, etc, but they also have fun flavors like Gold Crush Dalgona and Ube Latte. The Gold Crush Dalgona was really good. I really liked the taste of it iced and the Dalgona cookies on top were baked to be able to either melt with your hot drink or be a mix in flavor / caramel-esque snack on iced coffee, really smart idea. The ube latte has a good ube push on the flavor. A lot of ube lattes I've had was a subtle ube and they would be ok. But this latte has a great ratio of the ube flavor being present but not overpowering the coffee taste. There is a good amount of seating including the back area that passes by the coffee bar. I can see this spot being popular for WFH folks and students. Also their playlist? FIRE. They had two NewJeans songs play so that was icing on the cake so to speak! So, if you're ever in Highland Park or just want to take a quick trip up for great coffee, food, and vibes, definitely recommend!

    tiger syrup latte
    Nazia C.

A cute Korean owned coffee shop in Highland Park! I had a regular hot drip coffee while my husband tried the iced tiger syrup latte. I also got two crookies (croissants with chocolate chip cookies baked in) for my kids. I love the location of this coffee shop! We sat outside and got some sun while enjoying our coffee and snacks, and it was a large enough space where my kids got to explore safely without disrupting other patrons. I even went to Love that Spice after, and they spoke highly of Harmony coffee too!

What a nice little coffee shop. It was my second visit to this spot and I walked away both times with great coffee and very content. I ordered the tiger sugar latte and my wife got the strawberry matcha. If you love milk tea, you would absolutely love the tiger sugar latte. They even offer boba for those that want the best of both drinks.

Coffee Speaks is a cozy, wonderful place to get (hot or cold) refreshing drinks and snacks like croffle (croissant waffle), muffins, cookies, etc. In my first visit recently, I tried their Mango Galaxy tea, Peach Galaxy tea, Gold Crush (Dalgona) Latte, a Banana Nut muffin, and a Croffle (with chocolate sauce and whipped cream). All of it was delicious. I liked everything I tried. My favorites were the Peach Galaxy tea and the Croffle. I liked their menu variety and the prices were reasonable. I received good service as well. I definitely recommend checking out this establishment.

Our Combo was $100 and included miso or seaweed soup, rice, banchan and four kinds of meat: marinated bulgogi, short rib, ribeye and brisket. Delicious Delicious. The banchan was tasty tasty. I especially liked the pickled cucumber and the kimchi. Some of the reviews said they were charged extra for refills on the banchan dishes. We were not. What a feast. The server loaded up our grill with brisket and would leave and come back to flip things or turn things although we were pretty capable of doing it ourselves. They very nicely cut our ribeye into bite-sized pieces with the kitchen shears and also snipped up the short rib. The meat was delicious and the banchan and rice soon filled us up. We used the green leafy lettuce to make ssambap. I also liked the sauce with the sesame oil and salt. The bulgogi was last and we had to dig deep to finish it. What I liked was that nothing stuck to the grill and nothing burned either. I've had kbbq before at other places where it was too hot and the meat was burned. Everything was cooked perfectly. There was another table where flames shot up from the grill but the staff quickly went over to help. The staff was friendly and efficient. The banchan was plentiful and tasty. Miso soup - average, as expected. Miso soup is pretty standard. Veggie tempura - not a lot. Came with 2 onions, 3 sweet potato and half of a mushroom. Usually there's more variety and more veggies included. The tempura was super thin and flaky, it fell right off. Not much flavor. It came with the smallest bit of sauce that was gone in a few dips, not enough for th whole appetizer. GIANT CRAB CRUNCH $18 (Deep fried roll with spicy crab, avocado, smoke salmon, cream cheese served wi wasabi mayo and unagi sauce) - initially the role came without smoked salmon and cream cheese, it was the wrong order. I ate a little before realizing it and when I pointed it out the waitress didn't believe me and acted like I was lying, I was very uncomfortable. She kept telling me it's the giant crab crunch and had me show her each ingredient. She was pointing at rice on the roll and telling me that it was salmon and cream cheese right there, which it absolutely wasn't, she was pointing in nothing. And my roll came with jalapeño accidentally, it wasn't supposed to, and she kept telling me there's jalapeño inside like it's supposed to and that's why she knows my order is correct... which doesn't make sense because the roll didn't come with jalapeño. Honestly the whole thing was just uncomfortable and finally she took it back to the chef and said she will ask him. Chef said it was the incorrect role after all, we were right. Now I dont care it all about the incorrect order, I only care about what felt like abrasiveness and not believing me when I mentioned. Finally they brought us the correct order and it was very soggy and fishy. The smoked salmon inside had a strong potent fishy flavor. Barely any cream cheese. Mostly spicy crab and the whole thing was mushy and totally falling apart. I asked for a side of the wasabi mayo on top since there was barely any and she said it's an extra charge for a small portion. So we politely declined and were surprised. CALIFORNIA SUNSET $19 (Crab meat, cucumber, avocado topped w/ fresh salmon w/ salmon roe served w/ citrus mayo): first of all we asked in it's imitation crab and the answer was yes. It's not real crab, which is very deceiving since the verbiage said "crab meat" but it's not crab meat, it's imitation crab which is usually white fish. Second, we asked for the citrus mayo on the side and it came with none and then they tried to charge us $1 for it. They gave just a teeny tiny bit and when we asked for more we actually did get charged $1 for a tiny little Petri dish of sauce. Quality: veggie and fish quality seemed to be good except for the fishy fish my roll. Would not go back based on this experience.
