solid coffee and a nice place to study or work. there's lots of light, but not that much seating. I went on a wednesday afternoon and there was only one other customer seated. this is a small, korean coffee business. i bought the dalgona coffee iced and thought it was very tasty. not too bitter, not too sweet. i would definitely order this drink again and come back whenever im in the area. as for the location, this is located in a plaza. there is a parking garage that says the first 3 hours are free (but there was nowhere to grab a ticket and you can just go in and out of it? so idk how they're tracking time), but from the garage, there's a staircase that leads upstairs into the plaza. friendly customer service as well. 5/5

This is a cozy and serene haven in which to enjoy your coffee and treats. I wasn't expecting much from the egg and avocado croissant-- I was just hungry because I hadn't eaten breakfast. I was surprised because it was cold--it was egg salad (I didn't read carefully) but I was Delighted. The miniscule bits of chopped apple(?) gave it a slightly sweet taste, and my friend and I shared this amply-sized sandwich. I hope this is a regular menu item because I loved it. My friend had an iced hold crush (Dalgona) latte and I had a tiger sugar latte. I left to run errands and my friend worked in their laptop.

This cafe has a nice, cozy vibe with plenty of seating. The owners are always so warm and friendly whenever I go. The drinks are never too sweet or bitter! Although it's street parking, I do always find a spot. It's also a bit hard to find the cafe the first time you go since it's in a plaza!

the ambiance was so nice! Visiting from Chicago & I love this coffee shop so much. My girlfriends and I sat here for hours talking & catching up. The coffee was amazing. The service was so nice, greeted upon arrival. The owner knew their regulars. Love it!

There was a Yelp event here a month or two ago and although I'd thought about signing up it wasn't something I was going to be able to make it to. However, when I was in Highland Park to shop I remembered it was nearby and wanted to give it a try. They also have non-coffee drinks--an appreciable number of them, when oftentimes coffee shops have chai and that's about it. It was hard for me to find in the shopping center in which it's located, but that may not be a problem for a HPer. I was parked on 2nd Street but it's around the back of the shops that face that street. The shop itself looks very comfortable with some high-top seating, chairs, and tables. I ordered to go, but it looked like a quiet and comfortable place to hang out and maybe get some work done. I ordered a strawberry galaxy lemonade and it was delicious and pretty to boot. I'd happily order it again. The woman who helped me was quick and friendly. She may have been one of the owners; I understand that it's a family owned shop. I would recommend the place.

I could move right in. Ube Latte was phenomenal, balanced perfectly sweet and bitter, ripe purple against black espresso. This is the sort of house crafted syrups and superior java juice that gets me going for foodie culture. Harmony plays nice with all chords, served my friends an excellent super drinkable strawberry smoothie, noticed many other colorful sips grabbed during just our short hour up til closing. The ambiance is praise worthy. Refined and comfortable, a bit open and not offering max use of space, but giving air to all the friends and work one can easily enjoy here. Parking wasn't as difficult as it looked. Took longer to find the entrance hidden under the big overhang, this visit shot the spot right up to the top with few others out of the many in greater Chicagoland I have been to. What a song!

Whenever I'm in the neighborhood I try to stop by this place. I love the open/modern decor of the coffee shop. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. I tried their bullet proof coffee and croffle. Their croffle is really delicious! Slight crisp outside coated in a light sugar syrup and soft inside. To me the texture was great and it didn't taste too sweet which is nice for me. I like desserts/pastries that aren't overly sweet. Their bullet proof was pretty good too. It had a good balance of the coffee, butter and a hint of the coconut oil taste. Not acidic and it didn't need anything else :). If you are in the area stop by this place! Cute place to do some work or just to chill and eat your food. It's located in the plaza so if you don't look you will miss it. Street parking or public parking available. FYI if you're looking for a bathroom they don't have one. I believe there's a sign pointing you where to go.

Very nice little hidden gem coffee shop in Highland Park. Comfortable seats and tasty snacks and drinks.

I visited Harmony Coffee Bar when it was under its original name, Coffee Speaks. It's a clean and inviting space ideal for study or work. I revisited Harmony on a day off due to my last positive experience having their Gold Crush Dalgona latte served hot. I'm not into coffee because I have acid issues but I didn't have any problems afterwards so I figured I'd come back and try their cold version. If you haven't tried Dalgona Coffee, you'll probably want to. Dalgona's origin story hailed from Macau but Harmony's Korean version of Dalgona is not frothy but rather made in a toffee/candy form. The end product (gold toffee nuggets) is what makes it unique. The nuggets eventually melt into the drink and give it a distinct toffee profile. The color is brown leaning. It's darker than your vibrant orange Thai iced but is similarly sweet. I want to emphasize that the drink is sweet so make sure to pop that metformin prior to consuming. Or expect a sugar rush.... Or a crash. I can't handle coffee as well as I would like and find it unfair to give this place a poor rating due to that. Sensitive coffee drinkers may want to go with the hot versus the cold version. Although not as IG worthy, it will save you some acid issues. Visit Harmony Coffee bar and try out their Dalgona Gold Crush Latte. You might discover your new favorite drink.

A cute Korean owned coffee shop in Highland Park! I had a regular hot drip coffee while my husband tried the iced tiger syrup latte. I also got two crookies (croissants with chocolate chip cookies baked in) for my kids. I love the location of this coffee shop! We sat outside and got some sun while enjoying our coffee and snacks, and it was a large enough space where my kids got to explore safely without disrupting other patrons. I even went to Love that Spice after, and they spoke highly of Harmony coffee too!

This coffee shop is such a vibe! Before I get into details, I just want to say, I can't wait to come back! I was able to ask the owners questions about their shop and their food during an early morning visit but they were very helpful and easy to talk to! The aesthetic of the shop is really relaxing. The colors are neutral and cool but you can see a lot of the character and personality in it. The menu is fun because you can order the usual coffee drinks like cortados, lattes, etc, but they also have fun flavors like Gold Crush Dalgona and Ube Latte. The Gold Crush Dalgona was really good. I really liked the taste of it iced and the Dalgona cookies on top were baked to be able to either melt with your hot drink or be a mix in flavor / caramel-esque snack on iced coffee, really smart idea. The ube latte has a good ube push on the flavor. A lot of ube lattes I've had was a subtle ube and they would be ok. But this latte has a great ratio of the ube flavor being present but not overpowering the coffee taste. There is a good amount of seating including the back area that passes by the coffee bar. I can see this spot being popular for WFH folks and students. Also their playlist? FIRE. They had two NewJeans songs play so that was icing on the cake so to speak! So, if you're ever in Highland Park or just want to take a quick trip up for great coffee, food, and vibes, definitely recommend!

What a nice little coffee shop. It was my second visit to this spot and I walked away both times with great coffee and very content. I ordered the tiger sugar latte and my wife got the strawberry matcha. If you love milk tea, you would absolutely love the tiger sugar latte. They even offer boba for those that want the best of both drinks.

We happened to be in the area and got to try their fall special pumpkin matcha latte. We got a small, and it's really small compared to other cafe's small size, but it was just right because we didn't want too much just trying out a new flavor. It was not very hot when it's served but that's a good thing so it doesn't burn. The flavor in my opinion was lacking for both pumpkin and matcha, it felt kind of watered down. But my husband really liked it, since it's not very intensely flavored. It came unsweetened which was what we wanted but I think you have the option to sweeten it. I still like their Dalgona cubes better!

Given it was a Saturday, there was an annual art fair in the Village Green close by, and the Mother's Day weekend, we expected it to be very busy, and it was justifiable so.  There was a rather long line placing orders at the cashier, but it moved quickly.  There were many laminated menus for us to read while waiting in line.  The cashier was friendly, patient, and helpful in answering questions.  Our daughter ordered an Avocado Toast and a Berry Zen Refresher.  My husband and I found that a good idea, and each of us also ordered an Avocado Toast, although I had hoped that I got different types of dishes to photograph, lol.  Husband had a Cappuccino, and I had a large Iced Pistachio Latte (oat milk).  This simple brunch came up to $77.34 with tip, and it's worth it. All 3 Avocado Toasts were perfectly made.  All the ingredients were very fresh, although there wasn't a lot of seasoning, the taste of each ingredient worked well together to achieve a delicious dish.  I especially liked the over easy egg and the crispy edges of the warm toast.  My Iced Pistachio Latte was very good without being too sweet. Although the food and drinks were the star, the ambiance was so pleasing and relaxed that totally elevated the entire experience.  The dining room with high ceiling and chandeliers was spacious and beautiful.  There were many different types of seating for patrons -- big comfy couches, regular tables, high-tops, small booths, conference rooms with long table and chairs, small private rooms... not to mention about the large sheltered patio with many tables and seats!  As I have mentioned, we went at a busy time, there were not a lot of tables left for dining purposes, we opted for a high-top.  Even though the venue was almost filled to capacity, it still felt very airy and comfortable.  I could just chill there happily for half a day with my latte! However, there were small hiccups that fortunately did not ruin our first experience there.  My husband's and daughter's drink came out almost instantly after we sat down, but I had to chase down a staff (there's no servers except for the staff who delivered the dishes or cleaned tables) to tell him that my drink was missing.  I told him that it's supposed to be cold but with no ice.  He immediately got me a Pistachio Latte but with ice.  The cashier lady had specified no ice on when she placed the order for me, I talked to her about this and she offered to make me a new one, but I had already had a sip and didn't want to put the drink to waste, so I just kept it.  I later scooped out all the ice so that it did not dilute my drink, and it was good.  I must mention that the food came out in just 5 minutes even though the place was busy. Our high-top table wobbled when we used our knives and forks to cut the toasts, not a very big deal, but the restaurant could easily have that fixed as I am pointing it out now, It's one of the high-tops under the BB sign. This brunch kicked off a very happy Mother's Day weekend.  I was in a very good mood going to the art fair from Bean Bar.  We will definitely return to try the many other items on their menu.

Some of my very memorable foods include every bowl of beef pho that was offered to us. The beef was tender and flavorful, the pho (rice noodles) was thin and smooth. Tonight, we were having takeout from one of our favorite eateries, Basu, again. Since the first bowl of beef pho that did not totally meet our expectations, we had been ordering chicken pho from them. Their grilled chicken has always been smooth and cooked nicely. Their sweet soy glazed chicken wings are finger-licking good. We like their ground pork egg rolls with crunchy skin as well. This time I wanted to give their beef pho another chance, and see how it would compare to those that I had in Vietnam, and hope that they have made some improvement over two and a half years. Well, it is still the same. The beef was not tender, although not too chewy, it was kind of rough. The pho was not as smooth as I would like it to be. The broth still tasted good and not too salty, though. The chicken pho and egg roll were still good. (We remove the side bag of raw bean sprouts, lime, and basil from the order, as we don't eat them). It is a still a solid 4-star. Next time I will switch back to chicken pho again. I am still glad that we have this Vietnamese eatery close by!
