Organically grown vegetables and products from local farmers. There is a small but great selection of dry goods, refrigerated fruit, vegetables, and dairy, frozen meats, and pre-made frozen meals. You can see a list of what is available on a given week on their website. This is a place where bringing your own bag is encouraged. Occasionally when I've forgotten one they've provided me a box to carry my items out in or a paper bag. An excellent local gem, and a great way to be able to eat from local farm to table.

How stupid of me to think that this applied to the Mundelein Farmer's Market. Of the 30 or so vendors, only two had what appeared to be locally grown products, and, BTW, house plants don't count as produce. A Farmer's Market is NOT a goshdarn flea market. I guess I was fooled again. Maybe the trustees will care. NOT! As long as the fee is paid, I don't expect the mayor or five of the six trustees to care.

The ones we did pick were pretty good and lasted awhile in our pantry. I did get some of the bread to try and it was relatively tasty - but to be honest, I would go to one of the other bakeries in town before I went back to SunBerry. This may be a better place if you know exactly what you need and not so much to browse and try something different.
