I purchased a coop in Ann Arbor after graduating from the School of Social Work at UofM and began…read moreworking as a therapist. I was doing a major rehab, and my HOA required permits to install a new tub, toilet, and all faucets, including a hot water demand tap. Also, I wanted to run gas lines for my stove and dryer. I called around to find a plumber and a mechanical person. Some of the quotes were outrageous. Alex came and gave me a quote that was half the cost of what I was getting. The plumbers had to come out four times at different stages. Meredith was patient and efficient, scheduling with the building department and her staff. Special thanks to Matt, Jeremiah, Tom, and others. Alex also went beyond to have his crew install my gas stove and new utility basement sink. Everyone showed up on time, professional, efficient, and friendly. And they cleaned up thoroughly after each job. Highly recommended!

Sean showed up looking like the professional he is. Sean started by checking our replacement toilets for cracks and defects. Then he removed the old toilets and installed their replacements. Those old toilets were HEAVY, but Sean carried them downsairs making sure he protected our house and stairs from any damage. When he was done, Sean checked his work carefully and then cleaned up after himself. What a great job - those toilets look like they were always meant to be there. Thank you to the Mitch the Plumber team but especially to Meredith and Sean for taking such good care of us.

We had an excellent experience with Edwards Plumbing and Heating last week. We called them during…read morean emergency when our sewer backed up and a drain needed adjustment. They responded incredibly quickly, arriving within just a couple of hours, and immediately got to work. What we expected to be a two- or three-day project was completely resolved in just one day. Despite working in 90-degree weather, the crew stayed professional, hardworking, and focused on getting the job done right. They understood the urgency of our situation and brought in additional team members to ensure the work was completed as quickly as possible. A special shout-out to Malcolm, Steve, and Bill. They were friendly, easy to work with, and took the time to walk us through the problem and explain the repairs so we could fully understand what was being done. We were also impressed by their honesty and integrity. There was an accidental error in the original quote that resulted in a lower price than they would normally charge, but they honored the quoted price without hesitation. From their fast response time and quality workmanship to their excellent customer service, Edwards Plumbing and Heating was a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again in the future. Saline, Mi

I hired Edwards Plumbing & Heating to replace a sewer line at my home, with the specific…read moreunderstanding--confirmed in writing--that the PVC replacement would extend all the way to the sidewalk. Unfortunately, that did not happen, and the consequences were significant and costly. Years later, when the sewer failed, excavation revealed that the PVC line actually stopped roughly two yards short of the sidewalk, leaving a transition to old clay pipe. Because Edwards' work suggested the replacement went to the sidewalk, a second contractor initially excavated in the wrong location. This error forced the unnecessary removal of a tree (including canopy loss and removal fees) and resulted in a full day of wasted excavation before the correct location was discovered closer to the house. I will be uploading two images with this review: A photo clearly showing where the PVC pipe ends well short of the sidewalk. An invoice from Edwards Plumbing & Heating documenting the scope of work that stated the replacement would extend to the sidewalk. I attempted to resolve this directly and professionally. I sent a detailed demand letter by certified mail (delivered December 1, 2025) and followed up by email outlining the documentation and requesting reimbursement for the resulting damages. Despite multiple opportunities to respond, Edwards Plumbing & Heating did not reply. To be clear, Edwards did excavate to the sidewalk originally and replaced sections of sidewalk as part of their work. However, the sidewalk repair was so poorly done that we later had to pay out of pocket to have the sidewalk blocks redone correctly. This review is not written lightly. Sewer work is expensive and disruptive, and homeowners rely heavily on contractors to perform it correctly and transparently. Based on my experience, the work did not match what was promised, and the lack of response afterward was deeply disappointing. I would urge homeowners considering Edwards Plumbing & Heating to ask detailed questions, verify work locations carefully, and document everything before proceeding.
