I don't get to Lowell much but when I do I am going to make sure I stop by Fryeday Coffee. Such a nice little spot in an area that I wasn't expecting. I was coming through for one of my sons soccer games and wanted to find a local place for a good cup of coffee and Fryeday delivered. It's a cute little cafe with its own coffee roaster. They roast the beans themselves and sell them by the bag or by the cup. The coffee is really good and the staff is awesome. They also have a small counter of pastries and other unique goods like breakfast sandwiches. A definite must do when in Lowell. read more

Coffee was a really dark roast which I would say was burnt. The milk in My latte was basically cooked. Must've been 190 200° when served to me. see a lot of comments saying they have a yummy coffee try removing all that sugar and see if it's still yummy person behind the counter was friendly and the place seems kind of cool to hang out. Maybe the owner and the customers really like dark roasted coffee that's absolutely bitter and borderline. Disgusting ended up not finishing this latte so five dollars down a drain a little disappointed. read more

Was in town visiting a friend. Fryeday has a very trendy vibe, that I would definitely frequent if I were a local! I was there for about 2 hours catching up with a friend, but I can see myself studying there as well! This place is only 5 weeks old. I met the owner, Alisa and she's great! I had gone over to Maya Ritas bakes, got cupcakes and wanted a mocha but they didn't have whole milk OR whipped cream! I saw this place and decided to come here for it! The decor is great! There are plenty of tables to sit at. There's a microwave for heating sandwiches etc since none of them are made inhouse. Some of the goodies come from Renaissance Bakery in Charlotte, which I love! I had the hot mocha which was great. Yes , she did have whole milk and whipped cream ( which she whipped herself, not from a can!). Since my coffee can never be hot enough I used the microwave. So happy that's here!!!! I recently moved to Belmont, NC and was in the mood for great coffee. I had had enough of Starbucks and was looking for something a bit more local. I asked around and received quit a bit of recommendations for this place so I decided to try it. I pulled up and went in. The first thing I noticed was a great big smile from the barista and a warm welcome. It is the most quaintly decorated shop with a surprisingly spacious feel. I saw plenty of selections for coffee, tea and pastry. There was quite a bit of eye candy around the store for you to survey while you sat (if alone) and plenty of conversation pieces if with friends. Mmm mmm what a nice surprise. My German Chocolate Cake Latte was delicious in flavor and plentiful in size and I finished it without hesitation. I cannot wait to go back and take all of my coffee drinking friends for the experience. The barista also advised that they have live music every Friday night so look for me after work ready to unwind as well. I discovered this location as I was looking for a local bean roaster. I judge a cup of coffee the same way I judge a steak; if it is well prepared you need no additions and you crave the flavor. This was my experience with Alisa Frye's roast. The coffee was smooth and provided a robust depth of flavor. I checked the boxes of what makes a great cup of coffee and I would say the coffee is fabulous. They also offer a good selection of pastries and breakfast sandwiches to choose from. The inside and outside decor is comfortable and inviting - very well done. The place has a good vibe. There are typical tables with chairs combined with soft seating. There is also a collection of interesting pieces, such as the great light fixture over the service area. I also appreciate that Alisa supports local artist by displaying their artwork. She also has plans to open a patio and I am hoping we will be entertained by local music artists soon. So, now let's talk about the service! Wow, as I mentioned the place has a great vibe. When I walked in the door for the first time it was like visiting with friends. I enjoyed great conversation with the barista and the customers. The vibe of the place made this happen so naturally. We in Gaston county are lucky to have this right in our own backyard. All of the beans are roasted in-house with care and they dont get fresher than this. Honduran is my favorite followed closely by Guatemalan light and Columbian. The variety of beans available is huge! Found this gem of a coffeehouse and roasters en route to an appointment yesterday. It was quite possibly the best specialty latte I have ever had! Worst place for a family. If you are a family with kids under 13 don't bother this establishment is not friendly towards kids. I also ordered drinks and when I went up to buy pastries it was a why are you back up here. I debated leaving at that moment but the pastries looked so good I went ahead and purchased and then left.
