    Javesca Coffee, Steele Creek, Charlotte
    Bruce K.

Javesca Coffee in Steele Creek sits alongside the church building but functions as its own welcoming little shop, with a separate entrance that keeps the experience focused squarely on coffee rather than anything else happening on the campus. Mrs. K. and I stopped in after our shop and settled in with two excellent coffees and a piece of cranberry loaf, which turned out to be just the right companion for a quiet late morning break. The space is calm, comfortable, and set up in a way that makes it easy to linger, and I could see myself opening a laptop here for an hour or two without feeling rushed. The seating is arranged with enough breathing room that conversations don't echo, and the overall atmosphere leans more toward neighborhood café than anything corporate. It's the kind of place where you can hear the espresso machine but not the world outside, which is exactly what you want when you're trying to enjoy a cup without distraction. Everything we had was well prepared. Parking is plentiful, though I imagine the lot fills quickly before and after services, so timing might matter if that's a concern. For us, it was an easy in and out, and the visit felt like a small discovery in a part of Charlotte that doesn't have many independent coffee options. We left feeling grateful to have found a spot that delivers good coffee, quiet seating, and a sense of local character in Steele Creek. [Review 24 of 2026 - 4524 in North Carolina - 25215 overall]

It's like Jesus Himself made the coffee and breakfast--absolutely divine! Javesca Coffee Roasters inside the church is truly something special. The coffee is strong yet sweet, just the way it should be. I had the Eggnog Latte and the Ciabatta BEC, and wow--every bite was a revelation. The savory bacon, egg, and gooey cheese paired with the sweet jelly was a chef's kiss moment. My wife had the Avocado Toast and loved how perfectly balanced it was--every bite had just the right amount of ingredients. On top of that, the space was spotless, with a modern, luxurious feel that was also incredibly cozy. It was also such a welcoming environment--being inside a church might make some hesitant, but trust me, you'll feel right at home. Plus, they started with a great mission 15 years ago, and it's amazing to see them continue to grow. Check them out! I highly recommend giving it a try! Honestly, I might start coming here over the Starbucks down the street more often. I will definitely be back!

Nice coffee shop with a community feel! A good amount of seating and plenty of parking (due to this being on a church campus) makes it an easy spot to meet up with friends or a group. I got two fall seasonal drinks: a PSL and a pumpkin pie chai, both iced and with oat milk. They were well-prepared, ready quickly, and pretty strong & sweet. Service was fast and friendly. Cool to know about the indoor playground right next door too!

This is a hidden gem my husband told me about. It's in a community center associated with Christ the King church. The cafe has plenty of space, free Wi-Fi and coffee and food selections. The coffee has been spot on with non-dairy options and seasonal flavors. My first time I got an iced lavender vanilla oat milk latte. The second time I got an iced coffee and panini and a macaroon for my daughter. The panini comes with chips and was fresh and cheesy. It had a nice blend of sweet and savory. It's next to the free indoor playground so I was able to enjoy my drink and watch my daughter play. The playground area has two small tables but more seating in the actual coffee shop. One afternoon I was able to work while I was there. Everyone has been friendly and it's a great asset to the community.

I love coming here on my day off! I like the variety of food and pastries they have. The staff are nice and welcoming. The service is good and professional, and, of course, the ambiance, besides the coffee, is what draws me.

My second time here and this experience was even better than the first! Last time I came I got a blueberry latte that was seasonal, that was a few months ago, it was pretty good! This time I was deciding between the caramel cookie butter latte and the season strawberries and cream cold brew, and the lady the register told me the caramel cookie butter latte was very popular so I got that iced and did not disappoint!! It was so good, this will for sure not be my last time coming to get that! I also saw they had a spinach and feta pastry, so I got that as well to make myself feel like I was getting something green in for breakfast! Haha that was really good as well! Even though it looks a little burnt in the pic it was very flaky!! It was a few people in there with me, some working, some coming with a group of friends to chat, so really a place for anyone!

This fully enclosed toddler gym is compliments of the Javesca Coffee folks who just opened recently. While I can say their food selection isn't anything out of this world, I will say the service was great and the coffee was good also. To note, this coffee shop is built in to a church so it feels odd parking in a church lot and having to walk down a church hallway to get to the gym inside the coffee shop. I think it's a great idea, but it may throw off some folks who aren't expecting it. The gym area is very clean and they have tables for you to sit and eat while the kids play. A shoe area for the kids to leave their shoes while they play sits at the front of the gym. Overall, it feels safe and clean. Parking was super easy and the staff were nice. Check them out if you want a unique experience while the kids burn some energy for the day. Enjoy!

You can actually watch the nitro percolating and settling in the glass when it's poured, which is such a treat. To go with the coffee, I ordered the breakfast burrito and a chocolate pastry. The burrito was delicious and generous in size, served with a salsa that brought a great kick without being overbearing. The chocolate pastry was fresh, flaky, and hit the spot. Service from the staff on the first floor was attentive and helpful, and the space has a solid energy to it. Parking is tight (the lot only holds a handful of cars), and while the noise level is moderate, it's nothing a good pair of headphones can't handle if you're looking to get some focus work done. Wish I were a local so I could make this a regular routine. 5 stars!

They offer a lot of drinks and food and have lots of seating. The outdoor area was beautiful and relaxing-ish (they can't help the cars driving by). I ordered a zucchini quiche and nitro coffee, my SO ordered drip, cortado, and empanadas (Patagonia, spinach, and breakfast). I thought the cortado was delicious. The drip was very weak and the nitro bitter. The quiche was just slightly over salted. I liked the spinach empanada, but found it heavy on the salt too. The Patagonia was pretty delicious and had great flavor. When I took a bite of the breakfast empanada, I couldn't name any of the ingredients in the filling. Overall, gave me the caffeine boost and sustenance I needed, but I probably wouldn't return.
