You must have a smart phone and be willing to download The app which they track your movement your buying habits and literally things that you say. I wrote Kroger. Fry's has some really good sales. Their sale prices beat Walmart's every day low prices. I always check the ads or my apps before putting a grocery order in to make sure I am getting the best deals. Keep an eye at check out as I do see a lot of produce not ringing up at the correct price. Often they have to come over to the self check out to adjust. read more

Came in to get some soda with my husband and we had went to self checkout and I had gotten the wrong soda for the buy 2 get 2 free so the deal wasn't working the first time and restarted our order. I used to work at frys as a cashier so I understand the frustrations of when a order needs to be canceled or voided, but the lady at self checkout around 3 pm was so rude, she rolled her eye when we needed to void anything or needed help so yeah beware of the rude ass woman at self check out because doesn't seem she wants to do her job or help anyone for that matter. read more

I placed a delivery order for nearly $100 on March 22, at 107th Ave & Grand in Sun City, AZ. The lady that delivered it went way beyond the expected. It was delivered on time. She placed a paper bag inside two plastic bags with all my heavy canned good on the bottom and light items on top with bread on the very top. Three bags were loaded and not a tear in any on them. Every item I ordered was exactly what I ordered. She didn't leave my packages at my door. She knocked and carried them in. My final invoice was .27 cents less than the original quote. Most of the employees here are great. Friendly, appropriate, and kind. Unfortunately, Al isn't one of them. He works at the self-checkout lane in the mornings. I came in with my earbuds in, enjoying my morning listening to music and shopping. I went to check out my items. I saw this creep of a man eyeing me. I continued to checkout. He crept closer to me, staring. I continued checking out. When he came up to me on my right, unprompted, facing me, I stuck out my hand and arm to signal to him not to come any closer. I saw him doing all of these things in my peripherary. I then accidentally pressed the "large item button" after creepo did his lonely man slither around me. I clearly had no large items, was checking out perfectly fine on my own, and made zero eye contact with him. But he wasn't giving up. This pathetic, aggressive mess of a man moved to my left, and decided to stand between me and my groceries I had already bagged. He started talking in my face. I had to take my earbuds out to hear what this weird and inappropriate attention seeker wanted. He looked very proud of himself as he said, "So I'm making sure you don't need help". I said nothing and gathered my bags. I asked some lady associates to please call for a manager. Date rape Al smugly told the ladies to call Kristine, the grocery manager. She came up front. She was very kind. I explained what had occurred and asked her to please have Al's manager coach him on correcting his unsettling and strange behavior. One thing I always look for in a grocery store is this it clean? the store was very clean. The other thing is the staff, the staff were very friendly and helpful and they were all wearing masks. I would recommend getting the VIP card that gives you a discount when you scan some of your items. They were working on making sure everything looked well stocked and orderly. The vegetables seem to be plentiful and for a typical family grocery store that seemed like they had a fair selection of organic items. They also had grass-fed beef and bacon that was uncured. They also have some individually prepped items which are good for a senior that may want to not have to prepare everything. They even have some Frozen organic items which were particularly of interest to me. They had the typical selection of soda pop but with the added twist of having individual sodas available that were made with cane sugar that I enjoy. I've been when it's been crowded and not crowded and the line through the checkout area has always been fast. It's a complete grocery store with about everything that you could want. read more

This is the third time I have gone to this pharmacy and my prescription not be ready. This time I even called and the automated system stated it would be ready no later the noon yesterday. Well that was not the case. Additionally the man behind the counter was rude and quick to point out to the man behind me that they close for lunch at one and he would be the last person as it was approx 1:05. Not sure why there are three people staffed back there and they can't rotate lunches, I assume it has something to do with one pharmacist. had a very unsettling experience this morning Fry's Food Stores at Reems and Bell Rd in Surprise. I normally shop there and I noticed over the last few months the quality of produce has gone down to the point where I've seen produce with mold on it being sold in the store. I've brought this up to the produce dept a few times only to be told they would remedy the issue. Last week, I went to purchase a bad of lemons and was dusted in the face with mold that had been growing on the lemons and settled into the bottom of the bag. Having been sick from mold exposure in the past, this is something I take very seriously. They have were out of seeded melons earlier in the week, so today I went to check and they had a full bin of melons but they were rotten and leaking juice all over the bin with a smell of fermented food. I went to grab one and it was swishy. The bin next to it had seedless watermelons with mold growing on them. As I saw the gentlemen working in produce, I brought it up to him and let him know this is not the first time I've seen this. He immediately became rude and hostile told me I didn't have to buy it, that it wasn't his f****** problem. When I tried to ask for his name he flipped his name tag over and kicked me and my service dog out of the store. I tried to find a manger but there was not one there yet so I left and called the corporate office and the health department to open a case. Remember the food industry is just that... an industry and they could care less about the well-being of their customers so long as their bottom dollar isn't affected. Pay attention and don't be afraid to speak out when something isn't right. The way big chain stores operate can be dangerous to the community when they're overlooking the well-being of their customers. read more

Tried calling many times to get pricing on cakes. No one ever answered the bakery department. called 4 times threw out the day. One the last call they told me they were already closed. And it was only 4pm. I asked the girl if there was anyone who could just give me pricing information cause I had been calling all day and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. She said no when I asked her what time does that department close she said 7pm. I reminded her it was only 4pm so why isn't there anyone available. She just said cause we don't have anyone. I asked if there was any way she could just get my number and have someone call me when available. Again she said no didn't even try to help sounded like she could care less. Today a staff member screwed up...the pharmacist took the window...a simple "I'm sorry" would have sufficed but this woman decided to argue,scold & lecture me instead. Went into our local frys for a quick run before heading home. Upon check out and ID check for a bottle of alcohol we were purchasing, the employee (Hena, I believe her name is) proceeded to comment about the "darkness" of my skin and continued to show my ID to her manager. She stated that my photo is of me but "my skin is too dark" that she can't sell me the alcohol. I understand the need to check my ID to verify I'm of age however, I absolutely do not understand the need to comment on the color of my skin. I'm not the type for confrontation but I honestly felt discriminated against. This is not the time and place to comment on the "darkness" of someone's skin. There are endless options for shopping in the heart of Surprise. I am so extremely thankful to go into Fry's one day and learn of their selection and their customer service. They are officially now my grocery store. On one occasion, I had a specific ingredients list that I needed to get which included fine steak from the butcher department as well as fresh tuna. Specific vegetables and fruit and cheese. On that occasion I had help from various employees to get me exactly what I needed. They have flowers and balloons and cards, their bakery is on time and courteous. They have human cashier lanes that are always open. They have a gas station with great pricing. Everybody is so nice. I just appreciate their extensive ingredient selection there as well as the perks of being able to throw a quick party for somebody. And all of their staff has been supremely courteous and helpful. I love Fry's. I love their selection. I love the clean store. I love the fact that the produce is always fresh. The bakery does a beautiful job! I even love the free wifi. I also love the self-checkout stations too. That having been said, I've never met a more miserable group of people than those WORKING at this Fry's. The cashiers never seem very happy to be there no matter what time of day I'm there. They appear overworked and under appreciated and most of the baggers come across in the same way. Don't get me wrong--the staff is cordial enough to customers and will help when asked but no one seems very happy or even content to be working there. I'm not saying you have to turn cartwheels at your job, but there is an undertone of discontent there that is palpable. I hope whatever is going on in management there gets fixed because this is a great store! read more

This is the closest Grocery store to me, Their prices aren't bad, they actually have a really decent wine and liquor section, and I can actually find some of the Local AZ winerie's bottles on their shelves. The place is huge, they have just about everything, even was able to pick up an HDMI cable when I got my new bluray player and needed one in a pinch. It's typically pretty clean and well stocked and staff are friendly. The only drawback would be how busy this store can get at times. It can be difficult to find parking without walking half a klick at times, which I don't mind, but not when I'm in a hurry. At times I find myself going to the smaller Safeway across the street because I know I can get in and out. Every trip to this store seems to show a new low. This week they advertised buy 1 get 1 free on chuck roast and pork, the beef is priced at 9 dollars a pound, would be $4.50 each for meat that never sells for over 4 dollars a pound and the pork was worse. The butcher working and stocking the meat department didn't even know the pork was on sale. This isn't a sale it's a tax on stupid people. They also charge you to get money back...they're charging you to get your money. They offer freebies with there digital coupons but their scanners don't take them off then you have to wait in another line to get them to correct it. The pharmacy is filled with insensitive, rude, and unprofessional people. My wife had an issue with a new insurance card, after they called and told her that her prescription was filled and to come pick it up, and when she went in the card showed invalid. So rather than find solutions, they stood around and looked at her like she was stupid. No, "can you pay out of pocket?" Or "maybe we can call your insurance carrier?". Nothing! I will, not only never fill a prescription there again, I will also be shopping at Winco down the road from now on. No fuel points are worth being humiliated by a staff of service workers. And frankly, you can get better gas prices on Litchfield and Bell. After 15 years of going to the same store for just about everything, they alienated a customer in 5 minutes. Service is dead at Fry's. Update - After talking to our benefit company, Fry's input a number wrong when processing our insurance and rather than trying again, or confirming with my wife, they made a decision to embarrass her. My favorite Fry's location ever!!! What I love: Outstanding customer service. Whenever I happen to pass by a Fry's employee I always get a friendly "hello". Everyone is very helpful and actually act like they want to help you instead of treating you like a nuisance. Produce area is kept clean, have yet to come across a rotten piece of fruit. They have recently introduced more organics. Aside from groceries they have a small electronics area, arts and crafts, home goods from bed linens to furniture, beauty products, a sushi counter and Starbucks. Oh, almost forgot the gas center. You can pretty much get all of your shopping done in one trip which I do to avoid the crowd at Wal-Mart.
