This was my first time shopping at WinCo Foods at 5:30 am on a Thursday morning. I needed to pick things up to have all the ingredients to make 2 dinners that morning. I appreciated the convenience of having a store open that early!! The cashier service was very friendly & the young gentleman had the nicest smile & demeanor. An employee kindly directed me to the area where l needed to go to get some items. The only negative thing about WinCo is their prices!! They are very high on their groceries. I went to WinCo the other day because I was consistently getting subpar fruits and vegetables from Walmart. This store is clean, well-organized, and offers soooooooo much! I had no idea how much I was missing out by not shopping here. Even the other shoppers were friendly and bantered with you in the aisles. Man, I have been sleeping on WinCo and missing out! Hubs and I took a trip here and we were surprised on all the deals they have. I was in LOVE with all their bulk bins. They have spices, cereals, snacks, pastas, candy and even cat, dog and bird seeds! They literally have so much stuff at super reasonable prices! The meat department had great selections and everything looked fresh and great prices. We bought some steaks and grilled them up that night with little time to marinate and they were so tender and delicious! Definitely check it out. Dolores is rude. A guy had to leave his items to go pulling money and I'm next in line and she tells him that he can get in front of me cause it's $40 and I don't care I'm waiting and I had kids. She had horrible customer service to me, but when the next people came in line, she was very nice to them. I'm not sure if it's cause I'm black, but she is a horrible person. read more

This store is clean, organized and everything is fresh. I enjoy shopping there. The only problem is their FILTHY and BROKEN shopping CARTS. Then the sanitizing wipes to clean a dirty cart are almost always empty. Do better, Winco. read more

Wow, I have never been here before and I don't know why. Uge store, spacious aisles incredible pricing. The only thing is you have to unload and bag yourself so if you're slow, like me, it is a bit tough to keep up. Otherwise, really good experience. read more

I've driven by this store for years and never went in. Finally I gave it a shot. The store Is clean, staff is friendly, and they have quite a few unique products. I was very impressed by the items in bins that you can purchase by weight. The aisle went on forever. Candy, nuts, pasta, beans, you name it. The coffee by the pound is excellent and they have so many flavors too! Sadly they didn't have a great selection of everything and it is debit or cash only. read more

One STAR for their NAZI clerks at the self checkouts. They NEVER have more than one open clerk and the lines are so backed up clear down the aisles. (Word from the clerks are they can't hire enough clerks.) Self checkouts are either ALL closed or now they are looking in your cart to MAKE SURE you have 15 items or less. If you have more they come up and make a big point to tell you're over and it's not allowed even if No one else is even in the self checkout area. So if you like self checkout don't go to Winco. You will be FORCED to wait in super long lines. read more

I love Winco, the majority of the items they offer are way cheaper (not all but majority) . They have sugar, spices, candy, etc you can buy at the weight (so as much or as little as you want) this is amazing for me who wants to save those dollars. We don't shop here as often as we should. This is a place you can get some very good bargains on food items. You have to know your prices as some things are more expensive. Their produce is a nice quality. You will need to bag your own items when you check out. The store is large, well organized and clean. There are a lot of employees moving product around. I love this store except for one thing. Your self checkout is limited to 15 items. If you had more open cashiers I would not complain but every time there have been open self checkout registers and they still won't let you use them. Today I had 18 of the same item and the woman could have just put in the quantity but would not. Walmart and fry's don't limit. Please change this. read more

THEY REALLY NEED TO HIRE BAGGERS! I'm disabled and it's hard for me to have to unload the cart and then bag everything by myself, and try to be quick about it because of the long lines. Let alone the elderly that shop there go through the same stress! Then there's their doggy treat sherif that expects you to fill 2 bags of pig ears with a tong. She's a real b@$#h! I give WinCo a thumbs up, open 24th, I never found any fruits or vegetables that were over ripe or damaged, love the open stock bins of cereals spices and candy, the Deli has fresh chicken in pieces tastes great, the WinCo cheese rates better then Brand cheese, decent prices on chicken & beef they don't have crème Brullee for coffee creamer, I use self checkout because I only have so much money's, the cashiers are very nice. Never had an issue with any employee. I don't show Walley World because of WinCo. my 24-7there prices are as good as Walley World and many times better. Stopped by this Winco in Glendale instead of my usual one off the 303 to pick up cherry tomatoes and basil. Wanted to try the yellow tomatoes and guess what - MOLDY! The red ones were not much better! Figured I would at least get my basil in the package. You guessed it - MOLDY! Not coming back to this store! Best prices, clean and orderly store, helpful staff, carts with wheels that turn (sadly, this is not common in some other stores I shop)... great place to buy groceries all around! We love their produce, bulk food, frozen food, store brands, and bakery items! We also love that they still have many flavors of bulk coffee beans (including many in decaf!!!) when most stores have gone away from this much selection. My poor decaf-only beau is in heaven here getting to have so much selection! Their staff seems like, well, grown ups. And I mean that as a huge compliment! Other chain grocery stores seem to have decided to hire mostly distracted and socially and/or mentally stunted kids to work for them. Maybe it is because they are employee owned? No idea. We have a big group of volunteers coming in this week and it's been next to impossible to get Einstein, Fry's Food & Drug and Dunkin' Donuts to place a catering order. WinCo is somewhere in between Albertsons and Sprouts when it comes to what they offer but similar to Costco in appearance. The positives: there are always short lines, so no waiting like you would at Walmart or Costco. Another positive, they have vegan and vegetarian items as well as a bulk section much like Sprouts and their prices are more reasonable than Sprouts. For instance, their bulk coffee is nearly half the price. The beautiful thing here is that they also have a pet section in their bulk section and it's significantly cheaper than Petco or PetSmart. Dog treats are 71 cents a pound, I dare you to find a better deal in the valley. Another positive is that it's employee owned. Their Butter Toffee Almonds in the bulk section are out of this world! So there's many reasons why I keep coming back. The only negative is that they don't take credit so you have to pay in debit or cash. read more

My last two shopping trips have been unpleasant. Last week I purchased the Wild Sockeye Salmon for dinner. It looked good I thought but when I unwrapped it the fish was unpleasant smelling and felt slimy so I returned it the next day. Today I saw them loading up the fish counter with Lots Of Sockeye Salmon. This time I thought some of the fish didn't look fresh and the PLACE STUNK AND SMELLED JUST LIKE LEE LEE's. Then I went to check out and I didn't feel like waiting a half hour as the two lines open had families with multiple carts filled all the way up so I did the self check out and that was fine. The wheels on my cart locked two aisles before the yellow line. So I had to drag my cart out from in front of someone's car. Grab my bags and the one bag falls apart on me and my stuff falls to the ground. A guy in the lot told me those carts do get out of sync sometimes. So BRING YOUR OWN BAGS! The Fish MIGHT be spoiled! Be Prepared for your cart to suddenly lock it wheels before you get to your car. read more

if you are looking to buy rice and beans in bulk of this is definitely the place. I have never seen so many bags of beans and rice that are so plentiful in so many of them it makes it super easy for them to grab them and for you to put them into your car and then head straight to the checkout. The lady that worked at the checkout was absolutely super friendly and she really did a good job bagging all of my stuff and keeping a really good positive conversation going the shopping carts do need a little bit of work and it was kind of hard for me to find one. This is by far and away one of the nicest WinCo Foods I've ever been in. The prices are extremely good and they have top notch products. Great looking produce at this particular store. Meats were well stocked and looking good. I live in the Pacific Northwest and was absolutely delighted when I saw they had WinCo here (was Cub Foods 30+ years ago when I started shopping here). Not sure why I don't come and do my shopping here more often as their prices overall are cheaper then when I shop at Walmart! Winco, if you've never been to one, is like a wholesale store. Kinda like Sam's but you don't need a membership to buy here. I've always been able to find what I need here as far as food is concerned. I hardly ever buy non-food items at Winco, since most of the time it is cheaper at Walmart. Winco always has a good selection for produce and sometimes I've gotten super cheap veggies here. .99 cents a lb for asparagus is a killer of a deal! Fruit usually isn't cheaper, but the veggies are. I love how they offer some dry stuff in bulk and you can get how much you want. I love their sesame sticks and usually get them for work. Prices on cheese and meat are pretty good here as well. I normally get feta here as they are under $2 for what Walmart and other places charge almost $. Never have gotten any meats other then lunch meat here, but have compared prices and they are comparative to other store, if not cheaper on some stuff. Alcohol is cheaper here as well. Store is usually clean and organized. People working here are also friendly, but not going out of their way friendly. Just smile when looking at you and saw hello. The only real difference I experienced at this Winco then the other one closer to my house is the self service check out. The machines are frustrating. If you don't have the barcode just right, it won't scan. Had to swipe my items at least 5 times each before it scanned. The lady that was in that area didn't seem to care that we weren't able to check out very fast due to the scanner. read more

Do not bring your "pets" here, cause if it's a service animal or not they will tell you petco is across the street and will make any assumptions about your animals before even explaining or getting a word out about anything. When we got here we were told that one of us needed to start making our way out the door with our dog who is a comfort service animal. They did not ask, they did not try to help, just said that we need to take our dog and leave. read more

Great prices and selection. If you have been to Winco in the past, then you already know about the great prices and selection WinCo has to offer. WinCo is a good size grocery store with excellent prices. Some of the prices at WinCo are better then Frys or even Walmart. Winco is not an "Outlet" type store or a "Pay" for membership store. WinCo is a regular full selection grocery store with a deli, meat dept, bakery and florist and liquor department. Winco is nicely laid out, clean, and the associates are friendly and helpul. I just wish I had a WinCo closer to the house. read more

Food is cheap and I am able to afford snacks again for my family. The Hytop brand is good quality and even with my coupons for with the other brands I can not get the price as low as that brand. They have a great verity of items and the produce is in great condition with a large selection. It is like warehouse shopping which is not for everyone but to me if It's saving me $100 I will return again and again. The store is clean and well kept. There are many employees walking around to ask questions and to help find items. They are all very nice. They do not take credit cards because this is one way to keep their price low... they don't have to pay the darn Visa charges. They do take debit here in Arizona and cash no checks. To also cut cost for them you have to bag your own items... I actually enjoy this as many stores bag items wrong or not to my liking. Parking is hard to find but they do have more carts available now and are easy to come by. read more

Is WinCo on 57th Avenue and Bell Road is always clean and the staff is friendly. The shelves are stocked well and the demographic of the people shopping seems comfortable.I always find what I need at a very decent price. If you are looking for firewood this is the best place to get it at approximately $3.78 per bundle. another great deal there is the Beringer wine selection at approximately $2.88 per bottle.The music is always at a decent level and I don't really recall hearing many overhead announcements that would be distracting and loud. I used the seafood department and the person behind the counter was friendly and informative. Don't forget to, they do not accept credit cards but they do accept debit cards and cash. It's always best to bring your own bags.so, I would recommend this location because of the cleanliness, the friendliness, great prices and the demographic of shoppers. read more

I like Winco. I find myself at one location or another usually once a week. Depending on what I need, I may do all my shopping or just pick up a few things. The items I buy here the most: *lunch meat from the deli counter *produce *Barton gold rum *frozen fish fillets *chicken and pork from meat department *some grocery and dairy items They also have a large selection of bulk items available such as flour, rice, pasta, etc. Prices are very good on bulk items. Someone that cooks/bakes from scratch would save a lot. I seldom buy personal care or paper products here. They have a limited selection and are more expensive than Wal-mart and other major grocery stores on both. I have also purchased baked goods a few times from the bakery and found them to be terrible. Each time, whether it was a donut, bagel or some type of pastry, it didn't taste fresh or flavorful. read more

Hubby and I are new in town and after going to several places for groceries, WinCo is the best options. Food quality for fruits and meats are amazing. Their candy section is amazing for my kid and they have many options for flours, oats, beans, etc. their dry goods are great. I save so much when I go here can't beat it. read more

I have to admit my friend was not lie tale telling when he told me that the cat supplies here are a lot cheaper than well, anywhere else. And the fact it is an employee run business makes my heart happy. Now to hire my own, take with me bagger, Haha! The aisles are wide, the parking lot is huge and stress free, things are cheap, and the staff are always very nice. Please note this is a warehouse type of store so they might not have the selection you are looking for but yes, you can shop for smaller units. I do all my shopping here when I go, non bulk.
