I'm really impressed with this Albertsons. The staff who work here take the time to answer questions, lead you to a product that you are searching for, and go above and beyond to help you save money. I had put some cases of soda in my cart and thought I had read the discount tag correctly. Upon checking out, I didn't see the discount I expected. One of the staff members saw my puzzled expression as I scrutinized my receipt unaware that he was watching me. He kindly asked if there was something he could help me with. Sheepishly I explained the discount I expected. He acknowledged my concern and said that actually I needed to buy 3 cases and I would get 3 cases free. Since I had 3 cases in my cart, he took me back to the shelf to collect 3 more cases and show me the discount tag again. He explained that I needed to have all 6 cases scanned so that the discount would be applied. Since I had already made my purchase, he allowed me to take the 3 extra cases and he wrote on my receipt that I was due a refund of a specific amount and that he authorized the refund. Customer service was closed because it was late at night. He said I could return with my receipt to collect the amount I overpaid. Wow! So many things were remarkable about this interaction. First, I was actually mistaken about the discount. It was different than I had expected, but still a better deal than I realized. Second, the staff member approached me and offered to help me. Third, he actually worked hard to make the transaction happen while I was there. Most store associates would not have done any of the above. That one interaction won me over as an Albertsons customer. Anytime I'm in Surprise, AZ, I will definitely do my shopping at that location. Unfortunately, I live in another state where I don't have an Albertsons nearby. If you do, consider yourself lucky! read more

worst grocery store in surprise, sale prices are attached to digital coupons. If you don't have a smart phone or unwilling to download the app so they can track everywhere you go and everything you say you don't qualify. 2 sale prices have small print today I went in for a 12 pack of beer. It was on sale until July 7 for 14.99 cashier rang it up at 21.99. We both walk back there and in the smallest print said you must buy two to get that price. The sad thing I live with in walking distance of the store but my experiences push me to drive to other stores. read more

My sister in law was out of town because of a death in the family. I didn't want to send flowers, when they had so many family members gathered at a house. I was able to send them a couple meat and cheese trays, a fruit tray, bread, cookies, chips and a case of water, for my niece to pickup the next day. Everything was perfect. We fed 25 people for less than $200. They didnt send any pics but said it was great! read more

A large grocery store with all your needs. It was quiet in the early hours so shopping was a breeze. We purchased some fruit , yogurt and cream cheese to make breakfast. This store was the closest place to our location. Prices were competitive to other grocery stores. The produce looked and tasted fresh. They also sold large pool floats. I had never seen any quite so large and was impressed by their size. The pix of the turtle float looked so realistic. The store was orderly and clean. read more

This is a friendly, clean, and typically priced place to shop. I don't understand there negative reviews. My wife and I found everyone in the store to be helpful and friendly. We found some really great mark downs on some items in the meat department. Steaks were cook the next day and were delicious. Quick and easy in and out. We usually can find what we are looking for at the store but if you need help with your groceries you better take someone with you! The area is mostly elderly people with canes and walkers and NO one even offers to help with the groceries! This morning there wasn't even a register open you had to check and bag everything yourself! I did a delivery order for Safeway in Vistancia, but they switched it to your store. I ordered specific cuts of meat and of the four, two were correct. However, I didn't need to roasts. Cutting up the roast, they are average 1/3 fat. Will not order from here again. Your shoppers who fill the order should talk to the butcher if they don't know certain cuts. read more

I live in Illinois where Jewel Grocery stores are. Albertsons owns Jewel. While visiting I went to the Albertsons on Grand Ave, in Surprise. Both have the same terrible customer service. Worst produce section ever!!! I see rotting, old vegetables almost every time I shop. Today I just left after looking for Brussels sprouts and seeing the most pathetic options ever. I've spoken with the manager and asked them to remove a few products (berries, peppers) but it continues to disappoint. They also have limited offerings in their bakery and ethnic sections. Customer service is a hit & miss. Fry's is always a better option. read more

I was in the area for dinner and so I decided to stop in to get a few things on my way home for tomorrow. The store was well kept and organized. I was surprised to see how large it actually was inside. I really liked the layout with the bakery in the back. They also had a pretty large Starbucks inside which was kind of funny because there is also one right across the street, but convenience while you shop would win for me every time. Even though I'd never been to this location I was able to find everything I needed very quickly and with multiple checkers open was in and out in about 10 minutes. I wish they had an Albertsons a bit closer to me because I really like their sales. My cashier was very friendly which also made things so much better. read more

This store is a misleading and confusing retailer of groceries. First, they put all of their discounting and coupons up on the shelf to attract you. Then you need to read the fine print that says download some app to take advantage of the code for the discount. Once you do that, you can go to the checkout, where you'll find out that the code doesn't give you the discount and that you need to go see the service desk to take advantage. Not a very productive way to spend your time or the increased cost over going to a Walmart. I will never go to Albertsons again. I can't help but think it's only a matter of time before this store is 100% not competitive in our market. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. WARNING if you are high risk for COVID19 do Not go to this store. They do not require masks. While I was there one guy not wearing a mask sneezed 3 times in the self check out area contaminating everything including me and my groceries.Staff was right there and did nothing. Maskless people were coughing and sneezing in produce section. Nothing was being cleaned that I observed. I haven't been there since the family of five that were maskless were allowed in and their kids were touching everything. But I thought I would chance it for TP and now I have to quarantine. We are a retired couple. And we are not very good with the new phones. They have a new policy that if you don't use your phone you cant get the digital coupons. They don't care either if you shop there as well. The general manager told us that they cant help us anymore with the coupons. And basically told us their is other stores in the aria. Albertsons store finally did a big remodeling and just this week they had a grand re-opening. I think they did a good job. Everything looks fresh and clean (such a big difference). I've been told they are going to open in-store Starbucks soon. The range of prices cloud be a little lower but overall it's a good place to do a quick shopping. read more

Worse customer service ever from this horrible place went into the bathroom and left my cart out side the door! When I got done 1 minute later came out to find they took my cart and put it on the other side of the store in the cart area. There were four managers standing there and seen me look for my cart then one pipes up laughing saying they took my cart! Didn't even offer to go get me one or anything. Lastly every time I have gone to the Starbucks inside the orders are never correct even compaining to Managment nothing is done but them saying they can CHARGE ME for another drink made the right way what in the world!??!!?? I honestly feel embarrassed every time I go here and sadly it is the closest store to my house I really hope it gets replaced with something that cares for their customers more!! read more

I've been thru a lot of checkout lanes in my life, but Pamela is about the dumbest cashier I've ever had the burden of dealing with. What a clown. She'd never make it at Fry's. There is a reason this place isn't as busy as Fry's. Besides, the ridiculously high prices. For example a $5 bag of peppers here is $2.50 at Fry's. It's that the staff simply can't handle the business. They had a line of 8 people, with one lane open and the cashier was sweating bullets COMPLAINING about how busy it is. The pharmacy is so unprofessional, made fun of my insurance coverage because I asked them to run my insurance for my antibiotic to hopefully reduce the price, and I hear the pharmacist laugh and say, "hahaha it only reduce it by 30 cents." The woman at the customer service counter was so rude! I was purchasing cigarettes and asked her if I could check out with my other 2 items at which point she snapped, "well I guess". Really? Poor customer service at this location! I went in and had two separate purchases with 2 separate forms of payments. I was shopping for my elderly disabled neighbor and for my household. I had my telephone number for my discounts and had my neighbors telephone number for her purchases. At the check out I told the cashier I had 2 separate purchases and that each purchase had 2 cases of water . Total would be two purchases with 2 cases each again. The cashier snapped at me that this was not allowed and she would not sell me the water! I said I am shopping for my self and for a neighbor whom is disabled and she snapped "we have limits here!" Well, yesterday took the cake for me and why I will not shop here anymore. Ran in after a long day to grab some dinner makings, gotta feed the family. All was good until I went to the register. There were 2 ppl ahead of me, one checking out and one after that. The person in front of me had one item. The lady checking out was having some issues with her order. I could hear what was going on. She was asking if some of her items were on sale and if she received the sale price. This went back and forth for a bit. No biggie. But then she had issues purchasing her hot food with her card. Ok, it happens. But the cashier was trying to get her card to work. She would void the transaction and try again and again and again. Wtf. The person in front of me was getting annoyed and the cashier told him he could go to customer service since he had one item. She told me nada. Not even a hello, sorry, I'll be with you soon , etc. I could tell she was stressing over this lady, so she called management. Clayton was his name. This was 10 mins later of me standing there with my items on the belt. He tried to help the customer purchase her food. He voided both her transactions again and re did it. Still issues. The messed up thing was he also did not acknowledge me. Nothing. Nada. I was invisible. My patience left and I threw my items in my cart, rolled to the express lane even though I passed that limit. Didn't care, just wanted to go home. The cashier at that register was nice, even told me she had 8 people go through her lime while they were trying to help the lady I was held up by. Thank you to her for finally acknowledging me. I will be going to Frys down the road. They're cheaper and nicer. And here's a tip for the store: install self check outs...it's 2018 already. read more

The birthday cakes are favorites, for years, whenever I take them to assisted living places. Buttercream frosting is perfect. Today we got a model fighter jet on a sheet cake. Wowed everyone. I like coming to Albertsons for great deals but every time I come to this store I always see errors in my receipt, I end up coming back to get my refund , many times no joke , there was times I bought cereals I check the receipt there you go again errors , I told the cashier there is missing discount he said no everything is deducted , which is the digital discount, I insisted to check but no, so I go to customer service oh no they are close , open in 0800 your kidding me, so I talked to the manager I told him about my receipts and errors and he said I was right there was an error , I was charged more, there you go again, so my advice either don't come here or always check your receipts, because I guarantee you will always find errors. read more
