Bought some steak here... not usually my first choice -- but we have unexpected company and our butcher shop is closed today. Got home and noticed that one package was labeled as being 2.2 pounds, but the steak looks too small for that. I used a very accurate electronic scale and found that steak, styrofoam tray, and plastic wrap weighed 0.974 pounds. I weighed the other steaks and most were labeled inaccurately, nearly twice the actual weight of the entire package -- more, if I weighed the steak only. Rude customer service, you try and explain the situation and they immediately cop an attitude and act like you're crazy. You ask for the store managers phone number and they give you the store number. The in house manager avoids you completely while she is speaking on her cell phone having a whole personal conversation while her co workers are wanting to argue with you. Extremely difficult to find the entrance to the Pickup Groceries and also to the Automotive Center. It is not marked on the building at all. The entrance is off Grand or Hwy 60 off to the right. The service lines were long. They eventually got my oil changed but did not honor the road hazard warranty for my tires citing they thought it was not road hazard damage. Don't know for sure if they were right but still disappointing. read more

I was able to easily find everything I came for, and of course a few extras because it's Walmart, and that's just how it goes. The store was organized, clean, and easy to navigate. The staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful, which made the trip that much smoother. We come to this Walmart once in awhile solely for the Auto center who is always kind and takes care of our oil/ tire needs. While we wait for the car, we have nothing better to do than look around. Were tired of Walmart treating customers like we're children though. This Walmart just went through a revamp which looks fine- I don't think it was necessary if Walmart is going to stay with the millennial grey/ warehouse with awful lighting look. But now pretty much EVERYTHING is locked up and workers take FOREVER to come unlock things. Literally if I want to buy something and it's locked away, I just go to Target or order the product on Amazon instead. Now they also have you wait in a long ass line just to check out! They have 1 worker directing people to either check out at self check out or a regular register with a person. I don't like this and after sitting in line for 20 mins, overhearing others convos- NO ONE LIKES IT. It does not make it more organized, it literally makes the check out process slower. Again, treating us like we're children in day care. Let us decide where we want to check out. Lastly, we all hate the checking of receipts. Again, treating us like children. I understand the reasoning behind all of these new processes but it just makes the shopping experience awful and unenjoyable. read more

Do not trust the company working as representatives for Verizon sales at Walmart at 13770 W Bell Rd. We purchased two iPhone 14's on August 26, 2025 that were on sale for $499 each. When I got my phone bill, they had charged us $699 per phone. Called Verizon they told me to call Walmart. Walmart gave me the phone number of the Sales rep manager who said he would take care of this mistake. So when I looked at my account the price had dropped to $629 per phone. Went into Walmart and the sales rep for Verizon told me to talk to Verizon and yes when I called Verizon they told me they could do nothing to change the amount and I needed to go back to the sales rep at Walmart. read more

As a new customer with Oil change service, the check in lady didn't explain the differences between high mileage and full synthetic oil. The lady supervisor micro manages the crew and needs more customer service training or get fired. She argued with me three times about the oil i wanted to buy. While i was waiting for my car, she yelled at the service men in front of everyone that was servicing my car. The form i signed felt like i just signed my car away to a lawyer. Not sure why the low reviews for this Walmart. Seemed to be your typical Walmart. We needed bottled water and laundry detergent, so we stopped by. Everything was pretty clean and organized especially considering it was like 9pm. I think their employees are supposed to be wearing masks but most were not, or they were wearing them around their chins, but I guess that's standard here in Arizona (I'm visiting from Detroit). We were able to get everything we needed, including a 12-pack of water for $2.88 which isn't bad. read more

I had a very positive experience shopping at Walmart on Bell road today. my experience was positive because of one employee in particular. Her name is Basma. I was in the store for 30-40 minutes, shopping for several items. During this time, she approached me not once, but twice, to offer me help. The first time , she offered to get me a cart. (I hadn't brought one in, because I thought I would just get a couple items, but that changed & I had my arms full). Then I ran into her a 2nd time and asked where the restroom was, she showed me and then offered to keep my cart for me while I used the restroom. It is rare these days for an employee to go above and beyond their job duties. It is also rare for customers to comment when someone does a good job (but people are quick to complain when things don't go well). When I was a business owner, I would have loved to have an employee as friendly and helpful as Basma and I wanted to recognize her and give her praise. read more

This is the local "big box store," in my area. Very few local businesses are here in Surprise, Az. Aside from Costco, sometimes you just have to got to the Walmart. On many varied occasions we have met with some of the warmest individuals that work for Walmart. They are my neighbors and every one works in a small type community to make this one truly work wonderfully! Walmart gets a bad wrap, but this store is different. When you walk down the aisles the employees actually enjoy their jobs. It's a small community here in Surprise; everybody knows everyone. We had the unique experience to view this flavor first hand. Imagine coming into the store and being thanked for being a customer here. This is unheard of at a Walmart. The employees truly "love" coming to work. The kindness at every turn is a joy to see. Thank you employees of this Walmart for making my shopping trip a wonderful experience all the time. While sometimes my mood might be out of sorts the smiles of the employees are genuine and perk you right up. When your looking for something they have it; or an equivalent. It's stocked right on the shelf too. It's eerie to see how much caring is inside this Walmart. The happy and joy that you experience as you walk down the aisles. The realm of ages here of the employees and customers is a variety of ages too! This should be the model Walmart for all the Walmart's in the world. It's truly a unique place to visit. Flowers and produce are my reasons usually for visiting. The produce section here always has at least two or three employees tending to keeping it green and healthy. The flowers are beautiful here. I did not even know Walmart sold flowers all through the year prior to relocating here to Surprise for about six months. The selection is beautiful and well kept. Not just on the special occurs there flowers available here! It's all the time. Roses and tulips this time around. They are a desirably and seasonally adjustment that you have to allow. I'll take it most Walmart's in Vegas have no flowers. The garden section is open and ready for all those green thumbs. Something to satisfy any flora options in your life. I can remember the smells of the fresh flowers still. When your in the area of Surprise, Az all your needs can be found here at this local Walmart. Many of shops are outside and surround the area too! It's one stop shopping. Need something that we cannot find, usually an employee is close by to direct you in the right direction. Came in looking for milk, creamer, and laundry soap you will find what you need plus a half other dozen you thought you needed. See what happens when the shelves are stocked and you can find what you need; when you need it. It's remarkable. The employees are always happy, smiles all around. The check out lines are mostly automatic but some lanes are available for those that need extra help. This is an older community so they will help those that need that little helping hand more. If you need extra help shopping they have special hours just for elderly and retired individuals. You cannot go wrong here. Stop on in for some caring and merry Walmart happiness today. read more

Walmart at Grand & Bell has terrible check out procedures. They had 30 self check outs and only 3 registers open, took 25 minutes to check out. Totally unacceptable! If they aren't giving a discount for you to do the check out, I'm not working for them for free. They won't even let you get in line at a register until there's no one "sticking out" the line at the register. The store is well stocked but checking out is the pits! read more

This Walmart has been my go to location for years! Everything about this store works for me - fresh groceries, grocery pickup, pharmacy, and vision center. One stop shop for my needs. Cashier did not assure that all of my bags were loaded in my cart after paying. One item was left at the store. I have been calling this store since last night and no one answers the phone. I selected to speak to the store operator . . . no answer. I selected to speak with electronics . . . no answer. I selected to speak to pick-up . . . no answer. I let the phone ring anywhere from 20 to 50 times with each selection both last night and today. I called Walmart corporate customer service and was told that they can't contact the store. Essentially, Walmart is not bound by any standards for customer care. It is the most egregious thing that a corporation can do. read more

I went into Walmart and returned an expensive rug and they credited my PayPal debit card. I turned around and attempted to make a purchase and the money was not on the card. Somehow Walmart Supercenter has a cheesy policy in place that if the stores back east are closed, then you can't have your refunded and just credited to your debit card money back until the stores back East open again. Called store they stated the department was closed for the night, noone called to tell me my ordered was never going to be delivered. i called Walmart.com the man i spoke with said the driver cancelled i would have to wait until the following day. at this point i was frustrated. finally after several phone calls and transfers i got my delivery friday around 2pm. thank you to denim (I hope I spelled his name right) spoke with him he got my order delivered the hour. I have shopped both in store and online and because of problems with online order with at home delivery AND my local Walmart's manager, Mark and coach Adam stepping up and going the extra mile, a multi-problem was not only rectified to 100% satisfaction but will also be investigated. I am happy to give this store a 5 star review for 2 reasons being the way my problem was quickly resolved and also having shopped in this store was very impressed with all aspects of in person shopping. On Wednesday around 8:30 pm a friend and I went to get a few things from this Walmart . So I went to another store and left Linda to shop at Walmart she was shopping in the men's department when 3 Hispanic men blocked her one on each side and one behind her the one behind her reached around her and grabbed her wallet and then they walked away . As linda was yelling at them the lady from that department came to her and said she did see what happened and was going to get the manager and call the police , she did both . The manager took his time to get to Linda in fact the lady from the department was back before he came slowly walking up to Linda . As she explained to him she was just robbed he said he was going to look at the cameras but it was not his problem as the store is not responsible for what happens to the customers while they shop in his store. However the olive did come they did watch the cameras and I did file my report . The manager just kept telling Linda and her husband how that is a dead zone for the cameras but that it didn't matter he can't and won't be doing anything to help her as that is not his job. So if your going in Walmart to shop just be aware if you get robbed or anything happens while your in that store there will be no help and you are on your own . I am still in shock that 3 men stocked and robbed this woman and this was on camera and the store would not even try to stop these 3 men as they walked out the door. Ladies if your going shopping by your self make sure your repaired to defend yourself but you will still be stopped at the door after you get robbed because they want to check if you paid for all your items in your cart. read more

Folks leaving and wanting their car out of this long line " act of Congress" This only slows down more of this process... When you sign in to have your car serviced they should tell you the expected wait time.... 2 hrs and my car is still 4 cars away from getting into the bay... who runs this place? lunches are the priority here not customers... This store is horrible, there Car service they provide I'm not sure if they have new people working or if they just don't know what they're doing but I got my oil changed and my car started smoking and right after when they gave my car back my oil light was still flashing as if they didn't change it.
