ORGANIZATION OF STORE: Overall, I find this Fry's to be organized in a manner that does not compute with me. I do most of my shopping at Trader Joe's, Fresh and Easy and Safeway. I can easily find things I am looking for at those stores. Because this location is a Fry's Marketplace, I feel like there is a lot of stuff I have to bypass to get to the grocery aisles. PHARMACY: Competent, but slow. This Fry's has the best pharmacy of the other Fry's I have been to in the valley. That said, it is not really set up for dropping off your prescriptions before you shop and picking them up when you're done. You're better calling in your prescription or dropping it off a day or two in advance. Usually when I need something right away, I will go to Target because they take 10 minutes - half hour at most. However, the draw to the pharmacy is you get 50 gas reward points PER prescription. Every 100 reward points gets you a 10 cent/gallon gas reward. Fry's gas stations has the lowest gas prices in my area to begin with, so anything off it makes it even better. PRICES: I have found that the brands I prefer are higher priced at Fry's than at Safeway. Also, lunch meats are VERY expensive compared to the other stores I frequent; Even their sales on deli meat are never really good. Their butcher counter and seafood counter occasionally run sales, but are generally overpriced. I do not find the quality of products available at the meat counter to be as high as other stores. OVERALL: I come to Fry's for sales and prescriptions, but I do not really LIKE grocery shopping here. My friends all know that I LOVE grocery shopping. For me to find it even mildly unpleasant is very telling. read more

I witnessed the most disgusting thing ever in the produce department on Thursday morning 11/17/22 at approximately 6:30 AM the produce workers scooped some spilled fruit back into it's container with his bare hands and placed it back on the shelf to be sold! I cannot trust that worker ti do the right thing while handling food products. I called for a manager and the worker's explanation for doing such a foul act, he was going to get a cart to remove all the bad fruit. Mind you he took 2-3mins to neatly arrange the fruit back on the shelf. Why the manager didn't ask why did you need a cart to cart (1) contaminated container of fruit that you scooped up with your dirty hands and placed back on the shelf? I will admit in a heated moment of anger I called the worker a dirty Batman, I was angry and I have asked THE LORD to forgive me. I will not shop there anymore, I will be spending my hard earned money at Safeway. Covid is a real thing, bacterial disease is real. I refuse to go to my local grocery store and purchase an illness that could have been prevented if the worker would have done the right thing. In general I love frys, however I won't be returning to this location. The cashier supervisor should be demoted she's either a racist or lacks customer service skills. I was in the store 40 minutes ago. I recently got a new keychain and forgot to transfer my VIP card. My card is linked to a very old number I couldn't remember and instead of offering to scan one of their VIP cards like I seen cashiers do in the pass for other customers she rudely said I would have to pay full price because I forgot my card. read more

If a grocery store could be referred to as an experience, then this would be the word to describe this market. When I was growing up in Michigan years ago, grocery stores were as basic and uninteresting as they come. You went in, got your food, paid for it, and left. The inside of the building was like a small warehouse-dull and boring. Fast forward to the 21st Century and Fry's Marketplace. Just the fact you can sit in a comfy leather sofa or chair and watch television or drink Lattes at the Coffee Shop before you start or on your way out, gives a sense of home. Some guys sit there and take a nap waiting for their spouse to finish shopping. Great sales on food and non-food items. With your Fry's Shopper Card you can get dollars off your fuel costs. Pharmacy, Housewares, Furniture, Paintings, Patio Furniture can all be purchased under one roof. Talk about a One-Stop Shop! This is not grandma's old grocery store. There is something for everyone here. Customer Service is great and definitely recommend shopping here. read more

Do NOT get me wrong, I Love Frys marketplace, However I have never been wowed by any Frys Employees at any location. MAJORITY of the time i never feel welcomed or i get a feeling as though they hate being there which i do not blame them because i hated working at safeway but i could at LEAST put on a nice fake act so i wouldn't have people reviewing my work ethic on here or on secret shops. Now i don't shop at this frys on a regular basis because i live in chandler and this is totally out of the way for me. But i do however work near by as a caregiver and have to make Frequent runs to this particular store. Now as a former Safeway employee i know how much FUN grocery stores can be on holidays or days before prior. ;) BUT because of the hectic hustle and bustle of the store and their raving mad customers that is NO EXCUSE to be rude to customers who do not know any better. For example, When i was a cashier way back when, We could do exchanges/returns at the register itself without having to send people to customer service with NO PROBLEM. Unfortunately, This store apparently lacks the attitude i had as a cashier or at least this one older female i would say mid 40's early 50's unless she was in her 30's and looked older with dark brown hair. If a cashier rips off the survey code on the bottom that is a DEAD give away that they know their attitude was beyond poor(To put it Nicely). I had bought a couple small items thinking that is what the lady i work for had wanted. BUT she wanted a frozen entree and not all the items to make it from scratch rather. oops. So ran back to the store returned the pasta and sauce for the frozen entree went to the register that did not have as many people thinking it would be similar to safeway, smaller items exchange for one item. No Big Deal. NOPE. IT WAS A HUGE DEAL(To the old Hag anyways)(once again put Nicely). This lady was pissed that i did not take these two items to customer service and made a dramatic turn of her whole body to look down and see if customer service was busy which i am sure it was (i didn't look as well because i was in so much shock that she was being this ridiculous. I could understand if it was a large amounts of groceries but it was two items for one GET OVER IT! I swear quality customer service is vanishing before my eyes. I would rather have someone animated and funny with a sense of humor before i get a rude snobby person who does not know what quality service is. I wish to god i remembered her name and wrote it down but she blacked out her name and ripped the survey code off. Once i see her lovely face again i can tell you right then i will not be polite and something sarcastic will come out and she can bet her sorry behind that I will be having a word with the managers or better yet call customer relations before i speak with the managers face to face. Survey will be horrid and all just based on her alone though. I know way to many store managers who do not do anything about their employees behavior and to me that's just pathetic because those employees are the brown nosers. Enough rambling right? I always come here in the morning and all of the cashiers and store personnel seem exceptionally nice. I get greeted in a friendly way at least three times every time I am at this price. All the products are always are in stock and I this is definitely my favorite Frys. read more

This place has it all. Groceries, cleaning supplies, storage containers, toys, home goods and furniture plus electronics. I guess that's why it's called "Marketplace". Fry's has always been a good deal in the food department. I like the deli options. I especially like the Olive bar that has stuffed grape leaves which is on the high side to me at about $0.50 each as it is charged by weight ($7.99 lb). Sometimes when all other home goods stores have closed and I just need somewhere to shop or browse I'll come here. I can't say that I've purchased any big items here, but my friend did and it looks very nice in her home and she got a very good deal. Two things I'm not impressed with are the check yourself out lane, I like being taken care of but the lanes with actual people are always too long. A HUGE caveat about this place is the parking lot - i have such anxiety just thinking about it. It's small and not very well lit, then they recently had the nerve to add a gas station, ugh, not impressed at all. Please drive slow here. read more

Front end manager Robert lost a long time customer due to his demeanor in handling a situation involving an alcohol sale. I was in here with my father and little brother (of drinking age) both my father and I provided ID. My little brother left the his ID at home. We were refused the purchase because he was an adult with us? I'm still confused about this due to Robert failure at explaining their policy or law. He walked up to us with his mind made up and spoke to us in a manner that was disrespectful. If I were the store manager I would touch base with this employee. read more

This pharmacy use to be great, but i dont know what happened. I'm on several medications for chronic conditions. None of them are pain meds not that, that should matter. So I'm told that the medication not only was not ordered but that the manufacturer was out. Why was I told that it would be filled then? Why didn't someone call and explain this instead I'm finding out 3 days before I run out of meds scrambling trying to find somewhere. And the main pharmacists response? "What do you want me to do about it" I guess nothing. So now I'm transferring all of my meds to Walgreens, filing a complaint with the state, and with Cigna medical insurance. I hope their contract is revoked. You don't talk to patients like that. I've been nothing but a great customer. I never complain about my premiums, I learned everyone names, I tried to be understanding with other mishaps have happened, like not ordering my migraine meds or them being out of stock, and yet I'm spoken to like that? Really? If you don't care about your patients enough to just offer simple communication then maybe look into another line or business like online pharmacy. Completely asinine and wrong. Having a thyroid that doesn't work and then placing iron overload with it is deadly and I can die without proper meds and they didn't care. read more

The store is well stocked, they usually don't run out of items. Shopping cards are almost always available. The produce is fresh and well stocked. The store is clean. Employees walking around re always ready to assist with finding items. The problem comes when all your groceries are bagged. Little regard to actually building the bag but more like shove anything in as few items in as many bags as possible. Bread gets squished, fruit will more often than not get bruised, cold items with cleaning supplies, etc. What's the point of great customer service, clean store and friendly employees if the product becomes damaged when bagged?? read more

I love this frys locstion. I come here almost everyday. I always have great experiences with everyone in the store tracy,andi, tom, Mary and even Desmond the bagger. I know there are names I left off sorry to have missed anyone. I love the deli, baker and pet selection. I only had one bad experience in 13 years. The bagger Alex is rude and lippy. I had alot of groceries and was help bagging to speed it along and he snapped at me and said this is his job to don't touch. Well I always bag to help out . I thoug it would be a one time thing but this has happened on more than one occasion. Everyone else is awesome. read more

I love the produce section and the employees are really friendly. The renovations are nice. I wish the clothes department was off in the corner and not given such a prominent spot in the front as I have to walk past it to get to the food. The health food section is really amazing and they always have what I need. The front end staff is amazingly helpful and polite. I appreciate their hard work. I hate to post this, truly. I've been going to this frys since the blockbuster video was there. It has become a family store. I shopped there with my mom and now with my daughter the people were wonderful , helpful and always smiling. Now , I just don't know what happened and this isn't a covid employee shirtage issue this was happening before covid was even a thing. Thankfully there are a few employees that are still wonderful to deal with but I see them all slowly leaving and I don't blame them but they are the only reason I didn't give this store a 1 and we all know who those people are so thank you to them. But with them all slowly leaving it's hard to catch one of them there which means I have to unfortunately deal with one of the people there that just are so awful to deal with. They make me feel like I am bothering them. Like I personally have ruined their day by paying for my groceries. I don't even bother to ask people for help anymore but I do buy too much food when I go to use self check out otherwise I would. There is a lady there maybe 4"11 - 5 ft older with gray hair to her shoulders. I have used her 6 times in the pass and now I swear I will walk out if she is the only one I can check out with. She is rude, unprofessional and when she has to type something in or use a coupon she slames her fingers around and behaves as if you just called her the worst name in the world. The last time I had it with her was just recently, covid restrictions are going down but for some reason she saw me get ready to put food on the belt and asked me to stop so she could wipe it down, totally fine not a problem however when the belt was free she started just doing nothing, seriously like blank work and after waiting there for 2 minutes i kind of made a comment like hey I kind of need to get going , it was fathers day and I had a lot of stuff to do, which I felt to be appropriate I found the nicest way to say it and it didn't matter she was rude the whole time. Even now knowing i was in a hurry she literally saw an employee that was there shopping on his own time and grabbed her schedule and walked out of her register and started talking to him about when he was going to put his hours in. I'm like you have got to be kidding me. Even the girl that was helping bag my groceries looked at me and said I'm so sorry. But besides her who is by far the worst I have had nothing but terrible customer services from the newer people. From the actual customer services desk to the florists everyone just behaves as if I am inconvenient to them. I love this store. But I hate when there are solicitor at the door. This week it was for veterans. I do not have as problem with them it was the older ladies asking fir donation . I told them sorry I didn't have cash they said yea u spend b it as ll on yourself it figured. Whatever that mesnt. The clothing sections are great! The swimwear is really good for being a grocery store! Being a teenager, the wallflower section is my favorite! The past two times I went shopping the lunch meat I bought was over 10 days expired. Very disappointing.

Use your loyalty card towards gas discounts and make a ton of points by buying gift cards then filling up.

Overall they do well, they filled prescriptions in a timely manner with basic efforts from me. But warning... they think they know what you want without asking. This caused problems with: 1) They said two generic medicines were the same when one was strongly contraindicated for the specific health condition. These are heart valve problem medicines and giving the wrong one will cause problems. The person answering questions said that the medicines were the same, when I said no they are not (per Mayo cardiologist as well as backed up by research studies on the internet), they handed me to the pharmacist who again said the medicines were the same. So understand your medicines and check what they are really giving you. 2) We were out of pocket so were filling our prescriptions here. When the new year started we were paying co-pays again so transferred some of our prescriptions to another pharmacy that was cheaper. Several weeks later, I dropped off a paper prescription with them and was told it would be ready the next day. When I returned, they had not filled it (nor ordered the medicine) because according to them I was transferring all my prescriptions to another pharmacy. So make it clear what you want them to do and get their confirmation they are doing that and not deciding you really wanted something else you were not telling them about. read more

This Fry's is clean and nice. The people are friendly and nice. This store is more busy on Sunday than any other day of the week. I suggest going on a Tuesday or a Thursday. And your services will be much faster and easier especially if you have kids. The produce is great and the manger is so diligent on keeping it that way. The check out are far and way better than going to some dum Walmart. The prices are great to for any family on a budget. I hope you like this Fry's as much as I do. read more

He wore it to bed last night and this morning I saw that the pajama's red dye had stained his diaper red. Best grocery store I've ever patronized, because the staff is so helpful and friendly. They take all my coupons, even if slightly expired, and always have resolved questions to my satisfaction. Good selection, and when they do run out of something, there is never a problem getting a raimcheck. I even forgot to get a raincheck once on a Tuesday, and customer service gave me one on the following day after the ad change. I have ordered ectra cases of a product, which came in a couple of days later, honored the sale price, and let me use coupons on each one. read more

I have never had such terrible and disrespectful customer service at a grocery store! Fry's had sections of their lot closed when we went to leave, but several people including myself were inside part of the closed area before they blocked it off. Upon leaving, we pulled up to three Fry's employees who we asked if they would let us out. I let them know there were others in the lot that may be trying to get out as well and the employee's response was "it's their own damn fault if they can't get out." The girl proceeded to chime in about how no one was supposed to be in there. Literally couldn't believe that was the response I got! My husband and I were floored. If that is ANY indication of how they run their store, then no thanks. I'll avoid this one for sure! read more
