While moving is never fun, I have done many moves over the years. The moving company and movers can make moving day bearable or a nightmare. I was referred to Live Moving and had never seen their trucks nor heard of them. From the moment I contacted them the communication was excellent. The extra services were offered but not pushed. Everything was extremely professional including the electronic estimate, payment methods, follow-up prior to moving day, etc. So, pre-move I was feeling pretty good about Live. Then moving day came...and i had notifications of travel times and everything was accurate. Then, wow that the truck looked new, shiny, and clean...and so did the team. They did not start the clock until they were shown the apartment, elevator, etc. And they were professional. polite, and careful; yet fast. Following is from my text message to my friend who referred them. I sent it part way through the move into the new home. "as so far everything has been super professional the guys are cleaning the truck is clean their professional the whole service from Tony and the communication has been great so far very happy with this moving company would recommend let's see at the end of the day." I had an extremely disappointing and stressful experience with this moving company and would strongly caution others before booking. I paid a $100 deposit, electronically signed the estimate they sent, and fully disclosed key details before booking, including that the move involved stairs and that the elevator at the destination building was out of service. These details were discussed directly with their representative (Tony) prior to the move date. Despite this, when the movers arrived, they attempted to impose additional charges on site that contradicted what had been discussed and agreed to. When I refused to approve unauthorized charges ($400), the movers left the job site without completing any work and without notifying me that they were leaving. Afterward, the company claimed the move was canceled due to "site conditions" and alleged inappropriate behavior, which was never documented at the time and only raised after I disputed the situation. They later confirmed in writing that they canceled the move and provided no services, yet still refused to refund the $100 deposit. What's most concerning is: * No written change order was provided * No formal cancellation notice was given at the time * No services were rendered * The deposit was kept despite the company canceling the job Instead of taking responsibility, the company shifted explanations multiple times and relied on technical language about estimates and policies after the fact. That was after they decided not to answer my calls and dodge me. This experience was unprofessional, disorganized, and unfair. A moving day is stressful enough, having a company show up, attempt to change the price, and then walk away without notice is unacceptable. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable or transparent mover. read more

This was by far the worst moving experience I have ever had. I was extremely disappointed with the movers who were sent to do the job. One of the movers (russian speaking Andrey) complained constantly about the job, the furniture, the amount of work, the time, and seemingly everything else. His attitude made an already stressful move so unpleasant that I actually ended up in tears. No customer paying for a professional moving service should be made to feel that way. What frustrated me even more was how unnecessarily long the move took. I have moved this same furniture before, and the entire move was completed in approximately 3 hours. This time, it somehow took 8.5 hours. Since the company charges by the hour, I was left with the strong impression that there was very little urgency to get the job completed efficiently. This was not a cheap service. When customers are paying a significant hourly rate, they should be able to expect movers who work efficiently, professionally, and without making the customer feel uncomfortable or guilty about the job they were hired and paid to do. I am extremely disappointed with the experience, the amount of time the move took, and the amount of money I ended up paying. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again. read more

I got their service to move from a one bedroom to a 2 bedroom. I got the Full Packing service, where i wanted them to pack leftover unpacked items into unlimited boxes that they provided plus disassembly and reassembly of big furniture and my bedframe (sold me on those!) the price seemed appropriate and it was on an hourly rate. Tony was super communicative and reached out quickly and explained everything thoroughly and clearly so I appreciate that a lot! They did pack disassemble and assemble, they gave a call when they were on their way about half an hour into our set appointment time, which was not unexpected since they gave an hour estimate of arrival, but i wish Tony would have told me that they would call when they were on their way so i could organize myself a little better instead of waiting around in case they arrived. I packed most of my things in either boxes or big bags so that i could take them myself and not waste time, but they kinda started insisting to throw those backs and uncovered containers into one big box. It took them a lot longer than expected. When we got everything to the new place, i noticed there was a lot of waiting, no-rush attitude. When I asked them if there was a way to make this more streamflowed and efficient (since we couldnt go into their truck and get things down without them) they said "we do this every day, ma'am" while leaving me, my partner, and my parents waiting around instead of helping and making the process much longer (and more costly) than it needed to be. What i thought should take less than 4 hours (a 1 bedroom) ended up taking 5.5 hours! I guess that's the business structure though, to take as long as possible to make the most out of it. Thankfully, nothing was broken and the big items were taken care of. I liked some of their communication, their unlimited boxes, and their assembly/disassembly. They also made me pay $100 of deposit thats supposedly went toward the total price but they forgot or didnt mention it and i didnt catch that in the moment we paid. Otherwise, good price and fair communication. I just recommend having everything packed and maybe moving some things yourself if you can. read more

To begin with the guys were extremely nice very careful with my property. And they really worked their butts off. The initial quote was a little bit off however, I do understand that I didn't get as much done prior to them coming over for the move date, they called to recommend we add an additional crew so we could try to get it all done in one day which I agree to. They did a great job packing everything loading the truck and then offloading it and arranging in my storage unit to get as much in as efficiently as possible. You can definitely tell these guys are experienced. The team that was working at my house was extremely pleasant to work with extremely professional and kept me in the loop with all aspects of the move. After hearing so many horror stories of different moving companies, I can honestly say that these guys did a very good job and I look forward to using them again when I get my next house. read more

Extremely disappointed with this moving company. From the very beginning they promised one arrival time, then kept changing it -- first by an hour, then again and again. I ended up losing the entire day. They worked very slowly and clearly dragged out the time, which caused the final price to be 2-3 times higher than what was originally agreed. Not only did they make inappropriate comments/hit on me, they also badgered me for a tip. I would've gladly tipped despite having paid more than agreed upon at booking (hidden fees!), but they were practically grabbing my phone out of my hands to put in their Zelle information and asked me relentlessly to send them a tip. They left at 5pm, then I got busy unpacking and by 7.30pm they texted me that I "cheated them" for not sending the tip already. So incredibly rude.
