Finally tried Fuji Asian. Quickly.. my review. Nice customer service. That was the 4 stars and hot food. We got the Volcano Chicken, spice level 4, and sesame chicken. The only way I can describe the flavors are if you are a fan of Panda Express.. as a comparison.. you will totally love this place.. but with better quality chicken. I think the steamed vegetables were frozen. Would I go back?? probably not. But worth a try. Ask for their spice rack with the chili pepper sauce and pepper vinegar. Extremely clean and very friendly staff . Restaurant is spacious and well lit with booths and tables. Food is great and always served steaming hot. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. Lots of choices on the menu . It is tucked away on the side of a large retail commercial shopping center but parking is easy and the area is very safe (near Evans Town Center ). This was a pretty good restaurant. I liked that they give you free wonton chips and donuts with chocolate at the end of your meal. This isn't the best Asian restaurant I have been to but its good enough that I want to go back. Also, I was surprised by the menu because it has Chinese, Japanese, and Thai sections. First time dining at Fuji Asian Cuisine and was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. My wife tried the Thai Mango Sauce Chicken with white rice. She thoroughly enjoyed the fresh mango complementing the chicken. It was slightly too sweet for my taste. I ordered the Chicken with Basil Sauce. The dish was perfectly seasoned and contained fresh asparagus, onion, bamboo shoots, lemon grass and both red and green peppers. The brown rice was a perfect compliment. Both dishes were perfectly prepared. The restaurant was clean, bathrooms were accessible for those of us who use a wheelchair. The two front doors makes entering and exiting difficult for wheelchair users. The service was attentive and friendly. They also give discounts to military personnel! We will definitely make the long trip back to enjoy a great meal! read more

We have been eating at Fuji Asian for about 12 years. First they had a location on Furys Ferry, then down near Riverwood, and then at their current location near Gold's Gym. This has been hands down my favorite place to eat at least a couple of times a month. The Phad Thai, Sesame chicken, Mongolian Beef, General Tso Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Orange Chicken/Beef, Chicken Satay, Chicken Fried Rice and Lo Mein, and the Hibachi Chicken and Steak were regulars for the family. We ordered food from Fuji Asian for Thanksgiving and Christmas the last 5 years and it was a great tradition. We will unfortunately not be eating there anymore. The food is not anywhere as good as the last owners. Too much has been changed and it is not Fuji Asian anymore. The Sesame Chicken and the General Tso Chicken had no taste and the change in the breading was not good. The Chicken Lo Mein and Fried Rice were simply lo mein and rice cooked and then some chicken mixed in afterwards; you could totally tell it was not cooked as a single dish. The phad thai recipe was changed and when I asked if everything was the same as the original Fuji Asian recipe, I was told yes. They did not mention the addition of a lot of fish sauce, which my wife (who is allergic to seafood) found out when she started eating it. I kind of get the Thai Kitchen owner changing the recipe of the Phad Thai Chicken, but at least give us the heads up and don't try to pass it off as the original Fuji Asian. If they are going to change the recipes, by all means have at it as you are the owners, but let people know it is something new and it is not Fuji Asian. I wish them all the luck and success. We found this place through trip advisor and it is good. They have Chinese, Thai, and Japanese, which is great for families. My daughter and I like Thai. My husband and my son prefer Japanese. I ordered the red curry and it was delicious. The vegetables were very fresh and the curry was tasty and a medium spice/heat. The brown rice was fresh didn't taste like it had been sitting around for days and reheated. My son had the Salmon bento box and my husband had steak teriyaki. They liked their food too. Discovered this family run gem about 8 months ago and try to go once a week! They have the best hot and sour soup around and the shrimp lettuce wraps are fabulous. My daughter usually gets the Hibachi shrimp and steak (and always has enough for lunch the next day) but I like to explore the menu. Ive never had anything I didn't like. Tonight it was the Tao's noodles aka E19. Full of yummy vegetables cooked tender crisp perfection, huge shrimp, chicken and beef in a yummy sauce over crispy noodles. The staff is always friendly and goes the extra mile to make sure everything is just right. They recently added Mochi ice cream to the menu which makes for a refreshing finish to the meal. This restaurant is the best Asian place I've ever been to. You can never go wrong when ordering here. The owner, sally is the sweetest woman. Every time we go to eat she is always happy to greet us and ask us how we have been. I'm always so excited to order here, or call in a Togo order. It's beautifully cooked, crunchy on the outside and moist/ tender on the inside. I secretly hope my dad offers me a piece each time we go, that's how delicious it is! I try to get something different each time, knowing I will not be disappointed. This time I got the chicken red curry lunch plate. It came with rice (white or fried) and clear mushroom soup. You wouldn't believe the flavor of the clear mushroom soup. It blows my mind each time. The chicken red curry was so delicious. It has just been right amount of spice and so much flavor. My sister got the green curry with shrimp. She quickly expressed how good it was and I just had to try it. She was right! Again the perfect amount of spice. My husband got the lemongrass chicken with rice. He was quickly blown away and told me to try his dish. Let's just say I didn't want to give his plate back. They brought the wrong thing to my girlfriend, the waitress then proceeded to tell her all Hibachi meals were cooked with Teriyaki. But she ordered Hibachi Chicken, but they offer Hibachi Teriyaki Chicken....? Do they put extra Teriyaki sauce on the Hibachi Teriyaki Chicken. Reluctantly, she offered to have a new meal prepared. I ordered chicken hibachi with miso soup and ginger salad. Everything was pretty tasty and the prices were affordable. They even gave free doughnuts with chocolate dipping sauce at the end of my meal. It was one of the best $10 I have spent in a while. The waitress was attentive and the food came out fast. I was apprehensive since I was the only person in the restaurant however I am so glad I decided to patronize! My husband and I tried this place on a spontaneous trip after our errands. We both couldn't decide what to eat and Ofcourse, yelp always saves us when were so indecisive! Lol Anyways... The food was delish! I got the chicken pad Thai noodles which I like it a little bit spicy and it was, definitely not disappointed! My husband got the hibachi steak & shrimp plate which he said, it was really good compared to the hibachi that he has tried around the area! I am a vegetarian and absolutely hate being in Augusta since there are not many options available for me and I have to admit this restaurant will be one reason for me to come back to Augusta. We had vegetable tempura and spring rolls for appetizer, Thai mango curry and pad Thai which is absolutely to die for and they gave us Chinese donut for free and they were absolutely amazing we love them they are must to have. Yikes. I wanted really badly to like this restaurant because of the convenient location, veg-friendly menu, and nice staff. Unfortunately I was entirely underwhelmed by the food. I got a combo plate, which is priced really low and comes with white or fried rice and egg roll or soup. I substituted a spring roll since the egg rolls have pork. My orange tofu was pretty tasty but only came with 2 pieces of broccoli, so it got pretty monotonous. The spring roll was bad and really rubbery. My husband got lo mein and it was okay but the texture and aftertaste seemed off. We'll probably give this place another chance to see if other dishes are better or if we may have caught them on a bad night, but I can tell that Sho Chins is still our go-to for Chinese food. read more

I was pretty pumped to try this restaurant after reading all of the great reviews. I ordered a Pad Thai with tofu ($1 upcharge for tofu) to go. I brought my food home and yes, it looked like Pad Thai. However, it smelled like Chinese food for some reason... Pros: -Good portion for a $10 meal -Nice heat level Cons: -No egg in Pad Thai! Why?? -The vegetables included were mushrooms and zucchini, which were an odd combination for this dish -Tasted a bit like a Chinese stirfry- maybe too much soy? -Quite greasy Based on the reviews, I think I must have come on an off day. Terrible customer service. Called in order and was told it would be ready in 25-30 minutes. On arrival 30 minutes later, the order wasn't ready. After waiting 15 minutes, I was told they forgot to send the order to the kitchen and that it was being prepared. After 15 more minutes, I finally had my food only to realize they messed up the order and gave me Mongolian chicken instead of Mongolian beef. The food was okay, but nothing special - vegetables were undercooked and meat quality was below average. I won't be coming back and would recommend that others avoid this place. read more

We started with some hot green tea and lemon pepper wings. Their wings are FUCKING bomb!!! I've noticed that it's popular for Asian restaurants here in the south to serve chicken wings on there menu & being from the west coast, this isn't the norm but this place nailed it!! We order the hibachi shrimp & scallop and honey chicken. It was all so delicious and the service was more than great. I believe it's a family business. The young waiters and woman from the kitchen were absolutely sweet and welcoming to us. Our food came out quickly. I feel like they need to narrow down in their menu though. I hate to say this since my husband and I were trying to find a new place to eat at, but this isn't it. I'm giving it two stars because the waitstaff was very attentive and the beers were buy 2 get 1 free. My husband and I ordered the spicy shrimp as an appetizer and the shrimp lo mein as a main course and he got the hibachi chicken and steak. The spicy chicken came out looking like Bonefish's bang bang shrimp so I was excited about that but they just tasted like shrimp with yellow mustard. No other flavor to it and definitely not spicy. My shrimp lo mein was good but I could have gotten it at any other Chinese takeout restaurant for a lot cheaper. The worst was my husbands hibachi chicken and steak. If anyone from the south has gone to toki or Kyoto's or miyabi's this tastes NOTHING like those restaurants. The steak and chicken tasted like they were seasoned with parmesan and that just doesn't go well with white sauce. His meal also advertised that it came with fried rice, not the case, it came out as a mixture of brown rice and white rice and the white sauce tasted store bought. Also his soup was white compared to the other restaurants and didnt have a lot of flavor. If I was to suggest anything, I would just suggest this restaurant to stick with chinese food since they offer Chinese, thai, and japanese. read more
