I am pretty hesitant to try buffets, they are very hit or miss. But this buffet had glowing recommendations from a couple friends and when two bartender friends suggest a place that does not even serve alcohol (at least I don't think they do) it meant it had to be a real winner. #1. It was so affordable, my friend and I got two buffet meals and 2 drinks for under $30. Always a win in my book!! #2. Their selection is insanely expensive. There a table for just american comfort foods and that had like 10 option, So many great option. I stuck with Chinese options but my friend said the mashed potatoes were a serious treat. They have a super wide variety at the salad bar table, 3 tables of Asian and seafood options. A make your own hibachi station, a sushi station, a soup station with at least 7 options, I have never seen that many soup options, I was so impressed. A dessert table. An ice cream bar with I think like 6 different choices. It seriously just covered all of the bases!! I loved it! I left my comfort zone a bit and tried new things, I liked most of the things I tried, but more important everything was hot and fresh! We are very frequent visitors at this Fuji buffet. Because the food is always hot and good. Went in with friends at 2pm on Friday Feb. 21st. The won ton soup had a bad smell, smelled rancid. Didn't eat it. COntinued on to the buffet. The egg rolls were EMPTY, and were squishy. The Other egg rolls were empty also. The stuffed shrimp were void of shrimp and all a nasty stuffing mix. The fruit was not ripe and void of any flavor. Not good. We drank our water and tea and left. If they have hired a new chef, fire him/hr. The price increase was nominal and normally not an issue. There are some things there that are surprisingly ok. My Mom is a huge fan of Chinese buffets, so when she was out visiting I took her here. She really loved everything and she can get finicky about certain things (like mushrooms...at a Chinese buffet. I have no idea) but she seemed pretty happy. There was a decent amount of things I could eat and they were ok. I'm not a fan of Chinese buffets so it's not somewhere I would frequent, but it was a good experience with my Mom so it was a nice time. After a long cold day on the river chasing some steel, a large meal was in order. On my fishing trips, a buffet is always a must to refuel and this time was no different. It doesn't matter where you go, there will always be a Chinese buffet around. Using my trusty app, this buffet looked very promising and was quite close to where I was at. Location is in a plaza, which is typical, and is pretty big. Walking inside, it's big and and very open. Not crowded at all and that's always a nice thing. I was there for dinner and the selection is what you'll typically find and all the other places but no crab legs, not even at extra cost. We travel through Mentor, OH and used Yelp finding this place for lunch on the Labor Day, 2018. When I walked in, I was surprised by the good cleanliness and large size of Food area. We paid $17.10 (including Tax) for two of us at the entrance. It's very reasonable on a holiday. Sushi bar food is fresh made. It is not like some other restaurants where the sushi seems to have sat out all day, the rice was so dry. The hot food is really HOT (temp. hot) which we were happily surprised again. We enjoyed eating here much. Highly recommended this place. The reason that I only gave 4 stars is because some of the food is just OK. For example, the clam chowder has no clam flavor. Even bite into the clam, I had to pay attention on the clam. Otherwise, I would not know it's the clam. The flavor of clam is almost not there. I've been here a few times and the food is what you expect from a Chinese buffet. It's quick, fairly inexpensive, and you can get a wide variety of items. My original review would be 3 to 4 stars if comparing to other buffets I've been to. However, this most recent trip will be my LAST! I always start the feeding frenzy off with a few pieces of sushi. The first piece I ate was salmon and avocado. Down the hatch it went. Hmmmm... It tastes a little "off". So I move to the salmon nigiri to see if it's me or the sushi. OMG... The salmon had a terrible ammonia smell and it was slimy! I know to keep my expectations low when dining at these types of establishments, but I refuse to solicit a business that serves food that is obviously spoiled. For one I'm not a huge buffet guy, but this place with a drink in a plastic cup for $20 is crazy!! Cheese pizza that looks like maybe a 10 yr old made it the beef is LOW quality and you get a piece at a time as they serve it like a school lunch line now. It's kinda like wedding food looks pretty good with little to NO taste so I guess if you like to eat a lot of low quality food and sit there for an hour or so it may? The only thing giving this place two stars are the fresh hand-dipped ice cream and the servers. It's over priced for a sub par "Chinese" food. About $22.00 per person with drink and tip. Most of the food is typically at least a day old and if you go early for lunch, it's all cold. Everything is re-heated by deep frying and makes everything tough and chewy. There's nothing there that doesn't contain some overly sweet sauce and the only way to get get something fresh is to use the make your own plate hibachi, which is touch and go as far as fresh essentials goes... The beef for that is dyed bright red and you can see underneath a lot of it, graying, tough meat. Most of the customers are either latinos after church or obese people. If you pop boners over exorbitant amounts of cold, sweet saucy garbage, then this is your place.... We really enjoyed Fuji buffet! The place seemed really clean. There were really so many choices including several buffets, a Mongolian grill or whatever it is called where you get a bowl of foods and then they cook them for you. They even have a lot of seafood and crayfish and sushi, like 4 or 5 soups. Lotsa stuff! Staff is very nice. Great place - nice job. Of course it is a buffet and you should not go cause then you eat too much and then feel terrible but it's fun sometimes. If you are gonna do the buffet thing - it might as well be here. read more

But the most significant thing about Fuji Buffet is the diversity of food that is on offer. It didn't look or feel clean. The food is ordinary steam-table Chinese, with about twice as many AMERICAN dishes -- meatloaf, baked potatoes, fried chicken! There is a large sushi bar with actual guys making sushi -- so fresh -- but it still looked questionable. I decided not to gamble with my gut. They have about 6 soups; we tried won ton and hot & sour and they both tasted "off". No shrimp chips! sad! Honestly: nothing tasted fresh or home cooked. The least bad stuff was rice -- lo mein -- General Tso chicken -- honey chicken. The worst were inedible pot stickers (just awful) and skeevy looking "stuffed salmon" and stuffed shrimp. Some of the items looked so bad I wouldn't touch them. There were also bottles of "eel sauce" -- wtf? "A Cure For Wellness" or what? Dessert is tired looking fruit, pudding, ice cream and those odd oriental sheet cakes. Not worth the calories. Frankly, in the bottom quartile of Chinese buffets. I think you'd do better eating the American foods, they look fresher and more appetizing! which is strange! or if you want Chinese...find a regular Chinese place and order off the menu. *Later after checking, I found that the Fuji chain -- they have at least one other identical place in Parma -- is a top offender for the County Health inspector, with dozens of violations. A fruit and salad bar, fresh fruit, cottage cheese, tomato cucumber salad, jello etc. A typical Chinese food bar fried rice, lo mein, general tso, pepper and steak, seafood delight, coconut shrimp, prawns, some lesser adventurous Chinese food bar - sweet and sour chicken, chicken and broccoli, egg rolls, crab Rangoon and donuts, a kid/"American" food bar (which the kids loved the Mac n cheese, nuggets, and apple pie hot pastry), and some delicious dessert options. Ice cream (8 tubs) which you self scoop is my four star - yes at a buffet you see some things ppl do and think - you know you're in public right? This for me happened watching people scoop ice cream (with also the smallest scoop I have ever seen going down into a full cooler) - especially young patrons. There's one scoop - 8 tubs and the scoops wash water doesn't have time to keep up. Totally not this places fault - just makes for a moment. I eat at this Fuji buffet frequently since they first opened up. I will never eat there again. Today March, 8 2024 was the worst experience that i ever had at this buffet. I went to the front desk to pay for my meal when you first walk in the door. I went for the lunch buffet at 2:55PM. The Dinner buffet starts at 3:30PM. I gave the cashier a coupon for 10% off the lunch buffet meal. I tapped my card and was given the receipt to sign. After i signed the card receipt the Cashier started verbally attacking me telling me that the Dinner buffet items were for Dinner customers only . It was lunch and i was paying for lunch. I told her that i paid for lunch and did not know what she was talking about. The cashier then accused me of coming in the restaurant everyday and paying for the lunch buffet and then sitting there at the table and waiting for the Dinner menu items to be brought out for the Buffet and only eating dinner items. I told the cashier that i do not do that and the last time that i ate at the restaurant was a month ago and i paid for the Dinner Buffet. I told her that i see customers eat the dinner buffet all the time and they were there before dinner started and paid for the lunch buffet and no Buffet employees ever say anything to the customers. I also pointed out that the customers who were next to me paying for their meal were paying for the lunch buffet right at that moment and the cashier was not telling them that they could not eat dinner items on the buffet. The cashier again started accusing me of coming to the Buffet everyday and paying for the lunch buffet before the dinner buffet starts and sitting at my table and waiting for the Dinner Buffet to start and only eating dinner items. The cashier kept accusing me of doing that and i told her that i do not do that. I then asked the other Cashier at the desk to speak to the Restaurant Manager and she told me that there was no Restaurant manager that i could speak too. I asked her when the Restaurant manager would be there and she told me that there was no one coming in that day. I kept asking for a number of the Manager to call and she gave me a number to call. I called it on my cellphone and got a voice mail message. I left a message for the manager to call me back and they have not called me back yet. The cashier humiliated me and harassed me in front of the other customers in line to pay and the customers who were paying. It was extremely rude of the cashier to accuse me and verbally attack me. I paid for the lunch buffet and i can eat anything that i want. The Buffet opens at 11:00AM for lunch and closes at 9:00PM at night. The buffet does not shut down to transition from lunch to dinner. So if you go into eat at the Buffet for lunch at the time before dinner starts they buffet just brings out the dinner items and puts them out on the buffet when the Dinner starts usually around 4:00PM. They do not put out dinner items at 3:30PM when they start charging for dinner. So if you come in to eat dinner after 3:30PM to 4:00PM you are paying for dinner but only lunch items are available on the buffet. You are being cheated because you are paying the dinner price which is $5.00 more than the lunch price. I have been there for lunch and have watched customers come in before 3:30PM and pay for the lunch buffet and then wait for the dinner items to be brought out after 3:30PM and then eat the dinner items. I have never seen the buffet employees tell customers that they could not eat the dinner items. The buffet workers puts out signs in front of the dinner items saying that they are for dinner customers only and every single customer who paid the lunch price ignores the signs and eats the dinner items. I have never seen a buffet employee one time tell customers who paid the lunch buffet price that they could not eat the dinner items. The cashier singled me out and harassed and accused me of doing it when i have never done it and in fact the last time that i ate at Fuji Buffet i came in to the restaurant after 4:00PM and paid for the Dinner price of $17.15 with tax. The Lunch price is $11.79. I rarely eat the Dinner buffet because the price is not worth it. There are only a few dinner items that are different than what is offered for lunch. I always pay for the lunch buffet because i like the lunch items. I will never eat at Fuji Buffet again because the cashier harassed and humiliated me. I also think that the reason the cashier harassed and humiliated me was because i used the 10% off coupon that i received in the mail which was put out by Fuji Buffet for customers to use. I was a long time customer of Fuji buffet and i will never eat there again because of the way that i was harassed and humiliated by the cashier. read more

I'm not much of a buffet person, but I was pleasantly surprised. The place is clean and has a very large assortment of entrees including sushi. Personally I don't eat raw food but if you do I would think its pretty good as everything else is! The dress code seems to be whatever you slept in..they don't mind. Also depending on the day and time you might just find they have entertainment...WINK WINK! I came here with my family (spouses and children included), over 20 of us. My father made a reservation and our table was set up right when we got there. This place is huge and great for large groups as there are plenty of seating. The staff is very friendly. Our waitress was very interactive with us, including the kids. She did a great job keeping our drinks filled, clearing the table, while taking care of other tables as well. On to the good stuff..the food...holy yum! There are so many options!! Like it seemed like it would never end! Everything is hot and fresh, constantly being refilled. This place was busy but everything stayed stocked. There is a very nice salad bar with crisp fresh lettuce and tons of toppings, pasta salads, jello, pudding, fresh fruit. There is a dessert station, sushi station and hibachi where they cook up your items fresh in front of you. There are endless options of entree foods. Fried rice noodles honey chicken broccoli and chicken Japanese chicken, just to name a few. My favorite part was the seafood. I'm still licking my chops. Fried shrimp and fried flounder were awesome! Flounder was tender and juicy. My top favs were the stuffed salmon, swai fillet, and coconut shrimp. I want some now please. There are American options like pizza chicken nuggets mashed potatoes sweet corn sliced yams ribs and so on. There is also a soup station with options like clam chowder miso soup wonton soup and egg drop. Next to it is the ice cream with toppings. Some cartons were pretty empty so I didn't get much of my cookies and cream ice cream. I have not listed even half of what's offered. The price can't be beat for the amount of food offered. This place is awesome. I have to say I am not a fan of buffets. I usually have bad experiences. But this place changed my thoughts. Everything is hot fresh yummy and clean. I tried the new buffet for the first time over the weekend. Most of the food was delicious. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the selection at the hibachi table. The meat types weren't marked so you don't necessarily know what you are taking. The vegetable selection is limited. I ended up with a plate if noodles, a bit of broccoli, bell pepper, and a few shrimp. This is not my preference when it comes to hibachi. The staff was very attentive. read more

Omg when I walked in this place the heavens opened up and angels started to sing. Lol. This place is the bomb!!!! Very fast service, clean, and, most importantly, fresh mountains of amazing food. I don't eat pork and there was a huge pile of beef ribs calling out my name. I put a tiny scoop on my plate of everything I wanted to try and I was extremely pleased with everything.
