I know what to expect when I visit a buffet. I expect a friendly atmosphere and plentiful amounts of food. And this location has just that. And for that. I am very happy to come here. There are busy times and I will say I believe the staff handles it very well. The food is always kept and a great temperature and fully stocked. I was going to golden coral for a band trip to cedar point. I got in and first it wasn't very good. The toilets were leaking, the waiter didn't get my Dr Pepper, and there was hair in my food. The price and food is very good here but I'm rating this place a 1 star simply because of the level of irresponsibility from the clientele of this place. They throw food on the floor, they throw away full plates after full plates without regard to waste or the environment, the staff is working their butt off to replenish trays that essentially end up in the garbage, and nobody does anything about it. The business model is broken. Get rid of those cheap entry fees for children so they quit making a mess and throwing away perfectly delicious food, and add a surcharge for any unfinished plate so there's accountability for overconsumption. Your staff will be less overloaded, you'll make more money from the fees, and your clientele will not overconsume into obesity. You lost a division on the east side, let's not run yourself out of business on the west side as well. read more

Entered the doorway where a very long line of people were waiting and it was only 1215 ---it's one price serves all so how long could it take you to figure it out. Had a hard time locating a booth that didn't have ripped up vinyl on every bench seat to sit on and since they just opened, it shouldn't have been this unkempt and messy since nobody's been here. the parking lot was empty. It started to fill up after I arrived and again it's 1215 high lunch hour and the hot food was already cold. All of the fried chicken that was piled high in a steam tray was the size of a man's fist or larger, so there was no smaller piece of chicken to be had, and there was not one breast piece in this entire pile. I fixed a small lettuce salad, where there was not as much of a selection as there once was at this place. The vegetables were all overcooked you know that dirty khaki green broccoli and green beans get when they are overcooked? Not a pleasant experience and not planning on returning. I rarely buy meat bcuz too expensive in the grocery stores (for me), so I really like the grilled steak to order. They cook it how U like it. Yes, would highly recommend. My favorite is the Senior discount. Yes, would return in the future. My family entered to have a meal 07/16/2023 around 0900. Denise, the waitress, ignored us as we stood in line to help her group of friends who entered after us. She didn't excuse herself, she walked away. When she came back, my husband professionally asked why she "just left" while he was waiting. She immediately raised her voice and blamed him for being frustrated about her disrespect, she then told him those were her friends and she knew what they were getting- "he didn't wait that long." Things went left...He told her it was rude to help them when he was already in line. Denise, continued yelling about him calling her out, she never apologized or acknowledged that her abruptly walking away from him to help others while he was in line ready to pay was rude and wrong. We told the manager, he said he'd talk to her. Meanwhile, Denise is still going off about us causing problems. We left. Funny, we hadn't been to a GC since the early 2000 because of people picking over the food. He was nostalgic over the "star" donuts he used to eat with our sons. He still didn't get his donut. This place used to be a nice family restaurant with friendly servers and the food was good... "USED TO"!!!! My visit today will be my last!!! It started off with the server rolling her eyes at us within the first 10min of us being there when we asked her for 4 steaks one for each of us at our table..because that what are supposed to do.. after about 15min she comes out with 2 steaks and about 20 minutes after that she finally brought out the other 2. As I started to eat, about 4 bites into my meal and I noticed my fork had been eaten of someone else's dirty fork with food covering the entire thing We did not want to discuss the issue with the server because she was already being rude with us. So we asked to speak to the manager.. the manager came out about 10min later and comes over to the table and asked what was wrong and we showed him the fork and explained to him that I had eaten off of it. He said he could get me another fork. I told him I was to discussed to eat anything and my stomach was spinning. He then asked me what I wanted him to do.. I said I want my money back so I can go eat somewhere else because I was to grossed out no knowing who I ate after and what they could have had... he then looked at me and said this is all over a fork?!! I was taken back by him saying that and was actually lost for words. I would of loved to see him eat off of it! No it was actually about me paying for a dinner and being so disgusted that I couldn't even eat as well as me eating off someone's used for(hope I don't catch COVID or any other random disease). We didn't ask for refills or even order coffee like we usually do because we was afraid she was going to do something to it. Not once did she even attempt to ask us if we needed anything either. That was the only thing I chose I didn't like. I tried both the yellow & brownish Rices. Both are decent, brownish has a Rice A Roni favor which I love. Yellow was mildly seasoned & tasty. The pulled pork offering went untouched by everyone it seemed. The 3 times up I didn't observe any sign it it being disturbed. It was so dry looking nobody dare try it!!! I was in the area on real estate-related business and decided to stop by for dinner. I was hesitant to try it out due to the low Yelp reviews but I tried it out. Overall I am pleased with the delicious food especially their fried chicken and green salad quality and selection but there were two things that kept me from giving it five stars 1. Some of the plates were not clean. There were food particles left on it. 2. We had to wait til the server gave knives to us. Unlike other Golden Corral locations they do not have their forks, spoons, and knives near the plates. Your server is the one who gives them to you but the white packets do not have knives in them so you have to wait for your server and ask him or her. This took awhile. This is not the servers fault of course. Service from the server was excellent. Please note that dinner is $13.99 per person which is not too bad. Today, I went to have Easter Dinner with my family. This white lady was so rude. She was yelling at all of the customers, being disrespectful and didn't have good customer service at all. She looked like she was in her 60s - 70s, she had short grayish-white hair and she had on a Black shirt. My Grandma couldn't even eat her food because it was cold and hard.
