First time we have been, and we will definitely be going back. The staff was super nice and answered all the questions we had. We started out with the Spicy Korean Fried Chicken Bao, which were decent. The Bao was a little stiffer than expected, but the flavor was good. The little bit of scallion really added to the flavor. We also had the Crispy Brussel Sprouts. Those were awesome! Perfect flavor and texture. Who knew Brussels could be so good?! We then had the Miso Tonkotsu Ramen, The Miso Kimchi Ramen, the Tonkotsu Ramen, and the Shio Garlic Ramen. The Miso Tonkotsu Ramen had the best flavor hands down. A really nice salty and umami flavor that was perfect. The Tonkotsu & Kimchi were both quite good too. The Shio Garlic Ramen was a little lacking. The broth reminded us of a stock chicken Pho broth. It was decent, but nowhere near as good as the others. We also loved the location and the whimsical style of the interior. Quiet little ramen spot off of the heart of Quincy. Dangerous being attached to the Kung Fu Tea, since we know we will venture to it right after. This place was average for us- nothing stuck out but the food wasn't bad. I had the tonkotsu ramen and tried their baos. The ramen was alright, the ingredients were fresh but the broth wasn't very strong and tasted a little watered down. The baos were fried which was definitely a new taste, it was a bit too oily for us unfortunately. The waitress, however, was so amazing!! My friend noticed that the prices had jumped since his last visit a few months ago, but it seemed to fit the new post pandemic pricing for an affordable meal of about $20 after tax and tip. We did however split two appetizers between the three of us. The soft balls of Takoyaki, and Fried Cauliflower which seemed actually healthy given the lightness of the fry job. My friend's Gyudon looked very good. But I opted for the Classic Miso Ramen which came with both pork chasu and braised chicken (two slices apiece) in a chicken based broth, and happily finished it, minus some broth. Though I found that I preferred the pork chasu over the tender white meat chicken. Bathrooms are one person at a time. Credit cards are accepted. Service was pleasant. read more

Wakuwaku located in Quincy and was my first time visiting. Parking is a bit tricky to find but there is street parking. For appetizers we got the samurai duck baos. The meat itself was a bit dry but the sweet sauce on top was nice. I just wished it was more juicy. This was my first time having takoyaki and it was delicious. It was very crispy with the inside melting in your mouth. It was very gooey and the sauces on top added great texture to the dish. For the main, we got the pork ramen. The broth itself was very flavorful. The pork katsu was very crispy and couldn't stop eating. The service itself was speedy. The restaurant itself very pretty. Waku Waku is conveniently located next to Kung Fu Tea. It's a small little spot and we got seated at the bar tables near the window. We ordered their steamed pork dumplings as an appetizer to start. I was surprised to see a steamed option since most places only have fried dumplings. The signature ramen and miso tonkotsu ramen were both delicious and packed with flavor. Came here again for the third time with my wife over the last 5 months. Every single time is pristine experience. Food, vibe, service, everything. Young servers who are always attentive, never gets any orders wrong. Chefs in the back big props, food comes out delicious every time, consistent taste as well. My favorite order is the Gyudon (huge portion), and then the 5 piece spicy wings, sauce on the side. The wings are gigantic and flavorful. Overall awesome portions and worth the money you pay for. The best ramen spot in Quincy. We've been in desperate need for good ramen in Quincy for years and I think Waku Waku fills that void. I've got chance to try the squid Karrage, chicken Karrage, miso ramen, truffle shoyu, and miso Tonkontsu. All were very delicious. Soup was always hot and flavorful. Noodles were cooked perfectly, the chicken/pork chashu is tender and tasty. Finally a decent ramen shop in Quincy! Waku Waku is great for a fun date night with a few different takes on ramen in a lively atmosphere full of fun art and house music. Tonkotsu ramen had the classic fatty pork broth that wasn't too oily or salty. The noodles were nice and chewy. I also tried the classic miso which was really tasty and had a lot of flavor packed into the broth but warning it is on the salty side. The miso kimchi ramen is a bit spicy as well but kimchi lovers will appreciate it. The portion sizes are okay but if you are a big eater, I'd get an extra order of noodles for $3 to add to your leftover broth. For $16 I think you get your money's worth but it would be nice if it came with more pork. Oh we didn't get a drink menu even though the place was advertised as a ramen and sake spot. An addition to the Kung Fu Tea in Wollaston is a very retro style ramen store. There is about 3 circular booths, one long table, and booth seating facing the windows. I went with my sister on a Thursday night and all the circular booths were taken so we decided to sit on the long table. Service was really nice-- I asked the server which bowls they recommended and definitely sounded like their spicy ramens were their greatest sellers. The Kaen ramen caught my interest but I played it safe and ordered the miso tonkotsu ramen. It comes with a nice and juicy egg-- well marinated and seasoned- 3 chashu slices, 2 bamboo shoots, green onions, bean sprouts, and scallions. Overall the taste was great. So, this server Lauren was BOMB. She lit up our experience from jump. But then, it kept going with other cool e.ployees, including a guy with cool shoes. The vines were on point because of the people. Loved them. And props to Lauren who should get employee of the week and get an $85 gift card. Then, there was the food and drinks. Food - we ordered a tonkotsu ramen which is our usual that we try when we first go to a ramen place we've never been to. I will say this was a decent tonkotsu ramen, the pork was seasoned (did not melt in your mouth though), the egg was good, and the bamboo shoots were nice and soft. The broth we rated it as a 3.5/5 almost 4 but it was missing something since we have had better tonkotsu ramen in other areas! Service - fast, didn't have much interactions with the waitress though. Just gave us water and our food and that was about it for interacting. Ambiance - pretty neat place, very small though. The decorations make you feel like you're in a cyber-themed world in Japan! They were able to take us in 45 mins before closing (we were a big group looking for a spot that was still open to eat on a weekday in Quincy). I've eaten at Waku Waku at the other location, but I didn't enjoy it as much and it might be to the type of ramen I got before. This time I tried the Signature Ramen which comes with a pork katsu on the side (egg not included, sadly) and I really enjoyed this!! Has a nice little kick, I like the crunchy side of the pork katsu with the broth - I'd probably get this again if I come back. As for the staff, we were a group of 9 but one person wasn't eating. They came out to ask that they might have missed an order as the chef counted only 8 ramens (but there were 9 of us). We ensured only 8 people were eating but really appreciated checking on us and noticing that! Overall, super accommodating and welcoming as I know seeing a big group come in close to the closing times can be tough. I started coming here in early January, and watched as this place became more and more busy. However the service here has never had any issues. Food always comes out quickly, and always tastes amazing. Their menu has also been growing with new appetizers being added including cheesy chashu tater tots, bao buns, and really really good crispy chicken. They also have a lot of ramen options for only $16 or $18 for some special ones. Portion sizes are really good for the price (idk why some other reviews say portions are small, but they're very wrong.) The restaurant is also a really nice place to eat. For Appetizers, we went with Shrimp Tempura and Squid Karaage Bao, Fried Truffle Beef ,Samurai Duck ,Miso COD ,Pork Katsu and Spicy Chashu . Everything was paired with Sake. The ramen was Rich, hearty and flavorful. The Baos were soft and warm. Our favorite was the fried Truffle Beef Baos. The Squid Karaage was crispy and well seasoned.
