Worst food ever. Never again and it was expensive. The shrimp tasted fishy. Lobster sauce tasted like very heavy soy sauce

They really need an attitude adjustment, especially the older gentleman there. Food was subpar, nothing to die for.

The food was gross. I couldn't find one good thing about it. The rice was weird, it tasted like a greasy dirty fryer. Sorry.

That said, I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty and affordable their food was. Staff here was rather neutral, with nobody really going above and beyond (kind of to be expected at these fast casual style restaurants), but nobody was bad or rude at all. For dinner, I started with a side order of their seaweed salad, which was fantastic, and actually one of the better seafood salads I've had recently. After that, I ordered both a salmon combo and an eel combo, which comes with a maki roll and nigiri. The portions were about what I expected, nothing huge but certainly not small, and it tasted of good quality. While it wasn't my absolute favorite sushi's I've had during my time in the area, I'd certainly stop back for a quick and reasonably priced roll or two!

It is nice that the food is made to order. The vegetables in the bento was a little plain, I preferred it in the chicken teriyaki where it was mixed with the sauce. Next, when I was ordering, I asked the guy if I could get a side of the pork, but I wasn't getting ramen. No problem he said. For future reference, that side of pork needs to be in the ramen because it doesn't stand on its own. It was so dry, and tasted off. I also found the guy up front to be rude. My name is Jonathan. Not Johnny. I politely asked him to call me Jonathan and not Johnny. Didn't matter. He persisted. Overall, we won't go back. The poke nachos were easily the star of the table...honestly to die for. All three sushi rolls were packed with flavor and didn't last long once they hit the table. One had some thick fishy slices but aside from that, wasn't bad. The edamame came out warm and perfectly salted (simple, but done right). The atmosphere was really nice and relaxed, and the service was professional and quick, which is always appreciated when everyone shows up hungry. Definitely a spot we'd come back to when the sushi craving hits again.

I recently wrote a review for the 'Hot & New' Omori in Quincy. While I am not a detractor of Omori,…read morethe experience there left something to be desired. This is due to some creative decisions I disagree with and, at times, very little eel. Meanwhile, Sake Japanese Restaurant hits just the right spot! The creative decisions were excellent, with everything coming together splendidly. The fish was fresh and in more than generous amounts. This, in turn, makes the cost of about $20 per roll seem reasonable and makes it much easier to stomach (I didn't intend the pun, but I will own it). Regarding the Holiday and the Kevin Page, these maki rolls are similar. Both shine with the white fish on top and generous amounts of tuna (and salmon in the Holiday's case) within. The eel and cucumber add a pleasant new dimension to the pieces. I'd say these two are like identical twins adopted by different families. Each will have some unique personality and flair, but at the core, they are one. The crazy tuna brought something different to the table. While I am generally not a fan of the chopped-up style of fish, here it just works, and I didn't mind it. If I were to guess, this is because many places have more tempura than fish and add too much spicy mayo. Despite the style, the tuna was still able to shine through. For the inside, I enjoyed the crunch and freshness of the cumber with the sweetness and savory notes from the eel. Finally, the service was polite and speedy, though it wasn't bustling. Thus, not only would I happily return to Sake, but I would love to order the same three rolls again, for they were *that* good.

While my order was in route, the restaurant called and informed me that my driver forgot the hot items. No extra charge, and when I tried to give him a tip, he politely declined. THAT is platinum level of customer service. And to top it off, the sushi was delicious...I cannot wait to heat up and try the ramen. Highly suggest, if I could give more stars I would!

I would go to the original Brookline location but this one is a little easier for me to get to. My go-to is the OG miso ramen, It's very rich and hearty, leaving you quite satisfied after eating. If you want a "cleaner" flavor, then shio is a good choice. The portions are rather generous and they don't skimp on the toppings. You actually get a 1/2 egg included, which is becoming rare these days. The karaage (fried chicken) isn't the crispiest I've ever had but it is really flavorful and tender. The marinating and using boneless chicken thighs lends itself to having those two traits. Service is generally friendly and prompt. The area inside is a little dark, and uses artificial lighting to stay somewhat bright, but it's fine. This is a less cramped space than the Brookline location and since it's in a strip mall, there's parking. The area is rather devoid of ramen shops, so this was a much-welcomed addition.
