My parents and little brother recommended this place when I was visiting Spartanburg. Located behind Ulta, Jack in the Box. There is a drive thru but we dined in. There are a lot of workers inside almost more than there needs to be for the smallish dining area. No alcohol, but it's quick hibachi style food, I chose the Tofu. When I was placing an order over the phone, the guy Sue(shuey) was extremely rude and nasty when I told him I have an allergy. He said if I am allergic to something I need to eat some where else and not there. How do you tell a person that? I always eat here and the other staff has always let me not have mushrooms on my food etc, but to be told that I shouldn't eat here and go somewhere else and was loud and rude, He had no idea who was on the other line, me being in Management I will continue to contact who I need to because you never tell someone that having an allergy is a problem for you. He was disgusting and distasteful, I hope he never gets another opportunity to utter those words to another person. Worst employee ever! read more

I would give them a 10 star if I could. We've been coming here for about 3 years now and we come here every Sunday after church and we've never had a mess up on our food. We've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes for our food. It's always perfect and the food is so good. The staff is so amazing, we never seen a dirty table, very clean. Not the best Habachi but it is good. I think the sauce is consistent, I usually get the veggies add chicken. The only thing that I think varies is the rice, more often is soggier (than I prefer) The clear soup you get when dining in is my favorite, it's always so good!! Service is fast and friendly. If you want consistency... then you've got to try Fuji, and honestly... it doesn't matter which location. I've been to many Fuji's and they so are always 100% accurate. The portion sizes are always great, the service is always friendly and again, this is for all locations. I love the veggies, even though I opted out of the veggies this evening. My family and I have been going to Fuji for years and even though I've moved away, I always make sure to stop in at Fuji for a meal. I did not realize I have not already reviewed this place. We have been going here for years. It is always fast and tasty. You get a lot of food for the money and it is seasoned nicely. The shrimp are much bigger than you see at most fast hibachi places. The shrimp sauce is good, but was a little thin. I get steak and chicken and it is always good. I sop up the sauce in the rice. I did ask for rare, but it came out medium this time. It was still tender so I did not send it.back. If you want a lot of good food for under $10, this is the place to go. read more

Hibachi food is some of my favorite food and Fuji did not disappoint. The staff was extremely kind and very prompt. It took no time at all to get our drinks and miso soup was brought for the entire table before we placed our order. I got the teriyaki chicken and shrimp and the portions versus the price were an incredibly good deal. I also got to taste some of my girlfriend's teriyaki steak and scallops and they were amazing. The steak wasn't incredibly dry or chewy and the scallops were super tender as well. They've also got a drive thru which is great if people are looking to just make a quick stop to grab some hibachi. The food here is really good. We were sat immediately, got our drinks and clear soup within seconds and our food came out less than 5 minutes after ordering. Our waiter was amazing and super nice. Fuji is one of those restaurants where you can expect consistency. Tbh, their food is kinda trash compared to other hibachis, but their sauce is what makes it good, which is why they get 4 stars. I usually get take out but I decided to dine in one day. They have a lot of seating available and two people running around tending to everyone. The service was fast! As you sit down, they bring out a clear broth soup (wasn't good but was complimentary!) and take your drink orders and then your food order. Luckily, the menu is so small it's easy to choose what you want. I usually get hibachi chicken and steak without mushrooms or sweet carrots, and add zucchini and onions. Everyone loves their sweet carrots but it's a weird thing for me to have so I usually give them to my boyfriend or toss them. The food does not have that grill top 'smoke' to them that you usually get at hibachi restaurants where they cook in front of you. The fried rice is really soft, almost like steamed brown rice. The hibachi is smothered in sauce and not cooked/reduced so it's pretty saucy. The sauce is what makes this place. Super cheap for a meal (under $40 for 4 people at dinner) and the service is fast. Food is consistent. Definitely worth going to for take out. read more

This Fuji location is my favorite one to go to. I get Hibachi Steak and fried rice. It comes with sweet carrots and mushrooms but they are happy to give me no mushrooms extra carrots (because I don't eat mushrooms. Most of the time I call ahead and go pick it up. I can pick it up inside or go through the drive through to pick up my order. They are ALWAYS super friendly. When I eat inside, they are very attentive. They make sure everyone gets what they ordered and always make sure you don't run out of your drink. Whether it's a table for two or a party of 8, I've never been disappointed. Not to mention, I got all my food and a fortune cookie for $8. The food is a good size amount. Most of the time I have enough to eat then and another snack/meal for later or the next day. Fuji is usually my go to restaurant when I'm in need of something good to eat, but this night changed my whole perspective on how I look at Fuji. They were slower than usual, the girl taking orders was rude and and I could barely understand her it was almost like she was trying to get rid of my and didn't want my business and that's not the worst part.
