This is kind of a little hidden gem in Liberty! You wouldn't really expect such a big and cool spot here. So you walk in and there's normal seating on the left and then the hibachi on the right. The hibachi was really cool! ‍ The dishes are kind of expensive though. Especially the hibachi!! But it's part of the experience. And open wide because you'll have to try to catch a shrimp in your mouth lolol!!! I was actually pleasantly surprised with how good the onion soup was! That came with the hibachi meal. The sushi was decent. The spicy tuna rolls tasted a little different than other ones I've had and I didn't feel like they were as good. We got a few different rolls, those were decent. I wasn't a huge fan of the one where the seaweed was wrapped around the whole thing. Not due to the seaweed. Just due to the roll lol. Can't remember the names lol but there are a lot of options and they have sashimi too. Fun place!! read more

We absolutely loved our dinner here tonight as first timers! The restaurant is half restaurant, half grill, with a sushi bar at the back. We got lucky and were seated right away for the grill, and Connie took amazing care of us. We had ginger salad and miso to start, loved both. As entrees we got chicken/steak and steak/shrimp. All was delicious, but those shrimp were extra amazing! Our chef was so much fun, and I caught both my shrimp for the first time ever! This is definitely a new stop in our rotation. While the ambiance of Fuji may have you thinking that the food will be excellent, you would be wrong. I waited an hour for 5 roll and a cup of soup. There is no reason for it to have taken that long, also, what we paid was no where near equivalent it what we received, we paid nearly 100 dollars for what was by my calculations, 67 ish dollars worth of sushi. We enjoyed this tonight. Waitress was friendly and let us know we may have to wait so we sat at bar and had a drink and watched basketball. Then we were seated pretty quickly thereafter. Ordered sushi platter, Edimame for apps both very flavorful. Our Hibachi chef was super friendly and fun to watch and good at all the tricks and what not. Main meals were all good and large in quantity with very fair pricing for a full service Japanese Hibachi grill and sushi bar. Best in the Northland in my opinion. read more

Fuji sushi is delicious!! Their crab salad is the best in the city and Hawaiian roll is my absolute favorite. My kids love the hibachi chicken and the service is quick and great. My only complaint is that it's pretty dirty inside. Everything is sticky and just doesn't give a sparkling vibe. read more

Fuji is everything you need a Hibachi place without all the distractions. Price point is (proportionately) accurate and the food is fresh. The steak and chicken were prepared perfectly. We just wanted more! Why we're writing this glowing review, however, is the staff. From the hostess, to the bartender, to our server, to the chef, all staff had a smile on their face, a professional attitude, and a great sense of humor. They kept it light, which is EXACTLY what you need when you're out to eat with 10 people AND strangers. Our only improvement/suggestion would be to add some décor to give the place more of an Asian feel. read more

For a family of three we waited over 20mins for a sit when there was three tables available for us. No one checked on us or even kindly gave us a wait time or update. We watched them prepare setting at one table for a party of 7 or so... The person cleaning the tables had smaller tables to clean and didn't... By the picture you see how empty it is. Well... while we waited a couple came in and do you know they were about to seat them before us!!! Now as a black family it started looking very concerning and I wanted to see what happened. When she seen my look she quickly corrected the mistake. I doubt I come back. Update: Still not pleased with the service. They for sure need to get extra help. Overheard the manager talking bad about other customers, when they stated their food was cold and the wait time was long. The manager then blamed the waitress, and told her she would have to pay for the customers' food! I enjoyed this restaurant. Food was solid. Service was solid. Food is cooked right in front of you on the grill. The cooks are very entertaining. All the fancy fire,egg,onion and shrimp throwing tricks. They also have regular dine in tables if you are not with a big group. They accommodated 20 of us around the grill. I was very impressed. The staff is amazing and full of people from America, Hawaii, Philippines, Thai, Laos, and México. The atmosphere is beautiful it is hibachi on one side and free sitting on the other. Bathrooms are disgusting and cold. The food is pre-cooked and will come out warm unless you eat at the hibachi grill. The steam rice and onion soup were by far the best thing. I would also say eat the spring rolls because they are worth it even though they are small. The grilled steak almost taste like another animal. I would say cheap lamb or some other "foreign animal" Shrimp tempura was not warm shrimp and not crunchy at all. Again the staff is funny, down to earth, sweet, and they make this restaurant a good place to come. Just make sure you say that hibachi because everything else will be disgusting! They also charged us for three meals when we had told them we wanted to split the kids' meals. Each fried rice was an add-on (our mistake because we assumed it would be included since it was dinner). Would consider the quality of food and table service fast food at best. I've never seen potatoes and carrots in a hibachi vegetable blend. The chef poured refrigerator cold hollandaise sauce on my rice when I requested it. I only requested the hollandaise to be put on my rice because the fried rice had zero flavor. Bathroom was gross. Server/hostess was noticeably irritated that we wanted to sit on the hibachi grill side of the restaurant instead of following her to a regular table. Definitely would not return. Not worth the $77 we paid. But, we were still polite, tipped and paid like we should. Chalk it up to lesson learned that we don't care for this particular establishment and will not be returning. Our party of 8 went for my birthday lunch. It was fantastic food & service. The lunch menu was plentiful & reasonably priced. Our server and Hibachi Chef were amazing. We found out they are family owned & the sauces/dressings are made in house via the recipe of the original owner. Wonderful place & highly recommend. Although I wanted to be impressed with this local grill, I was not. It's honestly your typical hibachi grill. Nothing too special about the chefs. Depending on who you get, they will do some cool stuff but most of them don't. They just cool and make sounds with their serving utensils. The food is nothing special. Tastes like your normal grilled hibachi. No special sauces or anything. The normal seafood sauce you get at other places did not taste good here! The rice was a little dry, the meat was good. The shrimp is really big and good. That was probably my favorite. The sushi is decent for the prices though! Seems to be fresh fish and cooked right there. It's not served in a special way so don't be too impressed. We ordered a mango roll that was pretty good if you like mango. The eel rolls are a little too crispy in my opinion, the salmon is really good. It's a quick and easy lunch if you're not wanting something absolutely to die for. read more

Food was pretty good. I got steak from the hibachi grill. The chef was really nice and fun. I was disappointed that the shrimp appetizer that came with the meal was literally one shrimp!! That's not an appetizer. Usually you get like 4 or 5 if it's an appetizer. It was a pretty big shrimp and tasted great, but it is deceiving on the menu. I was disappointed. It was fun catching the shrimp though. The soup and salad was good too. It's a small place so you might need a reservation. Probably won't be back since I live little far away. read more

Went to try out Fuji Sushi & Grill last night for a quick dinner after baseball. Due to allergy issues, my GF and I are limited as to where we can go. Sushi it typically safe as long as cross contamination doesn't happen (soy allergy). I ordered 3 rolls and she ordered several pieces of sushi. The food and drinks arrived in a timely fashion. Presentation was also nice. Each of her pieces of sushi were different fish. Each of my rolls had different ingredients. Everything pretty much tasted the same. It was all very bland. I'm not a sushi expert so I don't know why this happened, but as the person eating it, it was not an enjoyable experience. The sushi she ordered was also cross contaminated with soy even though it had no actual soy in it. This likely happened during the prep and she had an allergic reaction. Nothing life threatening or anything, but still something to be on the watch for. It's something we deal with on the regular so I'm not trying to rip this place apart for that issue. We definitely don't feel the quality of the meal warranted the $70 price of the meal we purchased. Live and learn I suppose. There is also hibachi style options in this restaurant as well. There were several tables being served and seemed to be having a great time, so perhaps this place does hibachi very well. However for sushi it's going to be the recommendation of a hard pass from me. read more

After we got done eating and sat down in the car , my boyfriend said " that may have been the worst lunch we've ever had " ..... bowls of soup half filled up , spicy tuna roll tasted like the tuna was from a pouch. Hubby took me on a little date to Fuji Sushi and Grill last night. It's been difficult to actually "go" out this year, but Fuji made it easy and normal. I knew right away from the posted Specials board that I wanted to try the "Corona Roll"! How could I resist? Tempura shrimp with spicy crab topped with shrimp and a sauce (was it mango?) I can't remember but it was delicious. Hubby got a Las Vegas roll and loved it. We split an always yummy spicy crab salad and each got a bowl of onion soup. What is it about that broth with one mushroom slice and lone French onion that just warms the soul? We relish it. It's our favorite light but filling dinner. read more

We dined 3-9-24 with a 5:30 pm reservation. We eat here several times a year; however, if this would have been the 1st time we went, we would never go back. Our cook was an older guy and at the very beginning, went and cleaned part of the cooking table with an SOS pad that was very soapy and didn't wash his hands after using. He didn't do any of the entertaining stuff with the eggs, the onions, the sauce, nothing. When he cooked, the food was flying all over the table, which was unpleasant. He saw something going on towards the front of the restaurant, and interrupted the cook behind us and they both kept staring and talking about what was happening for at least 5+ minutes. There was extra fried rice, so he put it into a bowl and then at the end, he gave it to one of the men at our table, instead of dividing it up between all of us. He did the same thing with the extra vegetables. Gave it to the same man. He didn't cook with Teriyaki Sauce on my Filet or my husbands, so the steak didn't have much flavor. read more
