Amazing!! Order sushi platter for 2. Upscale sushi. Can't wait to order again. Beautiful presentation

Sushi nami is our favorite sushi restaurant in NKC. The food is very good. Our most recent visit went very well. We didn't wait all that long for our food, and our waters came out quick. My one gripe with this restaurant, is that we went with a larger party (11-top), and they asked if it was okay is all of our food was on one plate. We said yes. What we didn't know is that it would take us 3x longer to receive our food. Some of the people in our party were already finished with their food before we got ours. However, I judge most restaurants based of off their food, and not their service. The decorations in the restaurant aren't really that eye-popping. It's just a painting, and some leaves, but thats not really of any importance to me.It's such a great place, we come back all the time, to the point that we are called regulars! This restaurant seems to have an identity crisis - is it Sushi Nami or is it Wok and Roll? Both names are on the building and they offer two separate menus - a sushi menu and a Chinese / Thai / Vietnamese menu. I ordered an iced Vietnamese coffee for $4 - a great 16oz drink at a great price, and two standard rolls for $7.50 each. No issues with my Philly roll or my shrimp tempura roll either. I'll definitely be back with some co-workers after work since they stay open until midnight. read more

I am so glad they opened this spot up near my work, its the perfect lunch spot to grab a couple of rolls to go. Their online ordering is very easy to use, and the food is usually ready within 15-20 minutes. Its in a very convenient and easy to access strip that has ample parking. The sushi is FRESH and its honestly the best spot in NKC for sushi out of the places ive tried out up here the last few years. If you are looking for some good, fresh, reasonably priced sushi this is the spot. They also have some normal dishes like fried rice etc. read more

Location: Barry road. North Kansas city Ambiance: Small, cozy place. Family oriented. Food: It is safe to say that is the best or at least one of the best sushi places of the North side of the city. They also offer Chinese and Thai food. Sushi was delicious. Fresh. Salmon was smoked, which I don't like much. Tempura was outstanding. Service: Very efficient. Good. What i didn't like: they charge you extra if you pay with credit card. I think around a 3-5%. Which doesn't make sense if this place wants to be a popular hot restaurant in the future. My mind is blown how this place is rated over 1 star. Apparently you can order Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese off the same menu. The tempura is one of the most disgusting things I've ever eaten. I'm convinced that whoever cooked it has never seen or heard of tempura. It had commercial onion rings in it, you know, the ones from a burger restaurant. The egg drop soup was like a fluorescent yellow. Just disgusting. Truly awful. read more

The restaurant itself is clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere that sets the stage for a nice meal. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the Crazy Mango, Bama, and Philadelphia rolls, they were all outstanding. Bama was my favorite. One note for future diners: there is an extra charge if you choose to pay with a credit card, so it's worth keeping that in mind when settling your bill. Overall, Sushi Nami is a good sushi place with clean environment, great service, and delicious sushi, I highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the mood for a good sushi experience! read more

Service was excellent. I ordered 2 drinks, an appetizer, 5 sushi rolls to eat in and 2 Chinese entrees to go. The server did write any of it down, but she got everything correct. Food was delicious and fresh. read more

Gave me food poisoning. Smoked fish was dull in color and I had a poor experience at their location in River market but I have been to the one on Barry twice now. Do not come here. I feel bad bc I believe it's a small business but 2/3 bad experiences is not good. read more

I think i been here before but it was under a different name. I am not quite sure if its under same management or not but decided to try it out. Walking in place seemed nice like any asian sushi restaurant. You get menu option of asian food or sushi..you can choose both if you like. Many varieties of asian cultures like Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese. I decided to go for sushi and their pickled radish is amazingly sweet and sourly good. I saw other people order Chinese and Vietnamese pho and they looked and smelled great! I look forward to coming back and trying more of their food. Atmosphere is nice pleasant and quiet. read more

They changed the name from old wok and added sushi and I was already here a lot and now I will be even more of a frequent flyer! Im obsessed with sushi and my favorite is high protein high fiber Raddish roll that is packed with deliciousness and wrapped in radish skin! Excellent sushi in the Northland, finally!! I have also had the flower roll which was insanely delicious and many different pieces of sushi and sashimi. I have dined in and taken out several times and I am happy every time. We tried the radish roll recommended from another review, and it was delicious! We also had the Bam Bam roll, and my son loved it.

Green Dragon Roll was the BESTT. 10/10 recommend! The top right is the philadelphia roll and the bottom right is the yummy roll! read more

Went to sushi Nami for the first time a couple nights ago bc it was one of the only sushi restaurants that were open passed 9pm. Let me just say it was BOMB!! the sushi tasted fresh, didn't take long for the food to come after we ordered, and everyone was very nice as well. Very laidback, and chill vibes. I first saw this restaurant on a deliver app and tried it out. The sushi was very good and when I realized it was close to home, we went in person tonight.
