Excellent service and food quality. Timely delivery of meal. Tempura was excellent. Not a fan of how they make their fried rice-kind of brothy- which I've not encountered even living in Okinawa for 6 years, but will go back multiple times for tempura. I feel that if you are a sushi fan you'd love this place. Ingredients are displayed up front and are fresh looking, bright , and beautiful. You can watch your sushi being prepared. I wish I was a sushi fan because I'd order some of so many wonderful sounding combos. I just have a raw fish texture thing. If you love sushi though, please try it because they create beautiful presentations. Really a gem of a find for a small country living town. read more

Phoenix roll was potentially my favorite sushi I have ever had in a state that doesn't touch the ocean. And for the price, you can't beat it! Great service as well the couple kitchen appetizers were great as well. Crab Rangoon's definitely top 5 I've ever had. read more

We were in Kearney running errands and forgot all about Kaji being here... we tend to eat the same old things at the same old places, but decided Sushi sounded good. We got an order of crab rangoon (great crab taste!), an order of gyoza, and a couple rolls. The food was superb, the service was great, and we'll remember this more often now and be back soon! read more

They've got great lunch specials not only for sushi, but also for hibachi and teriyaki meals. The sushi is always fresh and the service is always wonderful. The restaurant is pretty small, but it is always clean. The lunch special comes with basic sushi rolls, or you can order other specialty rolls for a regular price. I haven't tried their hibachi, but it looks delicious when I see others ordering it. read more

I would highly recommend this place if you want great sushi and great service. My family came in and ordered a large plate of sushi and a kid meal for my toddler. The servers were so sweet and thoughtful, brining a small plate out for my daughter and asking if she needed a drink or a cup. Dudes. When I say I eat sushi in Kearney everyone looks at me funny like I've risked my life. But this is the BEST sushi. They're so friendly and flexible. We always get the sushi for two platter that comes with two rolls. They've let me substitute rolls or add things to the rolls. And the miso soup is super good. We order take out at least once a week. For a small town sushi place, this place is pretty good. They have really good fried rice too. Hibachi, chicken dishes, fried rice, and sushi. And it's all pretty good! Their rolls are a descent size for the price, all very fresh as well! My favorite is their fried rice though with the seafood sauce. To die for. Cannot got wrong here! Sushi, Hibachi, and Al La Carte items! The sushi rolls are made in-house, fresh, and almost in front of your table. I ordered my go-to rolls at every sushi restaurant I visit so I can set a standard. I was definitely surprised that my small hometown could have a quality sushi restaurant as such! The staff is extremely friendly and willing to offer substitutions. Upon leaving the owner thanked us and wished well on our way. This place should not be overlooked by anyone! My dad was wanting to have sushi last night. Since he lives in Kearney that normally means driving 20-30 minutes. Kaji opened up near Price Chopper and was surprisingly good. The restaurant is nothing fancy but the fish was good and prepared nicely. We both had the Chirashi dinner and let the sushi chef choose the fish. He prepared each of our plates with slightly different choices but all were fresh and presented nicely. My rice was covered in tuna, salmon, mackerel, white tuna, yellowtail, cucumbers, shredded carrots. I believe my dads plate swapped a couple of those for shrimp and octopus. The waitress brought a plate of crab Rangoon on the house to try. It's not fancy but it's good sushi and it's in Kearney. Prices were on par with most sushi in KC. read more
