The house sake was only $2.99, which I thought was a pretty good deal We got the miso soup and that was BOMB Then we got the fried oysters and fresh oysters. The fried oysters were perfectly crispy, but the fresh oysters were definitely my favorite. Those were really good! We also got the clam miso ramen and that was really good too. Definitely something I'd order again. The place was a little small but clean, our waitress was really nice, and they were cool with my service dog, no issues at all. Everything came out to $49 and some change, which honestly wasn't bad for everything we got. I'd definitely go back. I've been here before as well as ordered take out. Service is always good. Fish is always fresh and they give you nice portion sizes. The restaurant is warm, friendly and inviting. Small but enough seating that you dont feel as if you are rubbing elbows with your neighbor. I was disappointed in the Thai ice tea as it had a lot of cream/milk in it. This is my go to spot whenever we go shopping at the Fairfield area malls - Hobby Lobby, TJs, Sportmans, etc... This cozy sushi spot always has a table waiting for a party of two and these days I'm especially enamored by the Salmon Kama, which is a char-grilled salmon cheek. They have hamachi Kama as well, but I like the salmon better and it's 1/2 the price! It takes about 20 minute to make so I've called ahead to get them going with it so the wait is not so long once we arrive. It comes out hot, perfectly cooked and seasoned with a dipping sauce. My last visit I also tried the special sea crab nigiri with avocado and tobiko - very fresh and good! So do please check the "specials" white board for a gem like that one! read more

Met a friend for lunch who was in the mood for Japanese cuisine. The restaurant is in a plaza/strip mall type parking lot. It's quite small so if you blink you'll miss it. I was greeted by Anita who was also our server. I went with the Bento box and the portions were quite generous (yay for leftovers lol). Anita checked on us periodically to make sure we were good. I appreciated the ordering system (Anita bought a tablet to our table). Very disappointed with the experience. We were charged a party fee that was never mentioned to us when we made the reservation, when we arrived, or during the meal. We only found out after the fee when we received the receipt. If you're going to charge an additional fee, customers should clearly informed before ordering or paying, not surprised or charged after we already swiped the card and when we received the final receipt. I love Hana!! Their sushi is so so good ! I thought I had already wrote a review about them years ago, I'm a bit of a regular here. Better late than never! Last night I got their Salmon Lovers roll and spicy scallop nigiri. 10/10, the roll was delicious, not too much sauce. I personally love that because I want to appreciate the quality of the fish when eating my sushi. The sear on the salmon was fantastic and every bite was perfect! I'm also a sucker for scallops and they put a generous amount on the nigiri; the scallops were fresh, buttery, and slightly sweet. Their miso is a winner too! I usually skip miso soup when offered because most tend to be salty. Their miso however is the right amount of umami taste, they also add the right amount of tofu and seaweed, simply delicious! My boyfriend got their bento and unfortunately the chicken was dry; however the sauce that they added really helped! The spicy garlic chicken was great as well, he usually gets that always as a choice but no complaints. Additionally, I've tried other items and I've never been disappointed. I've dined in and the atmosphere and decor they've incorporated really makes it feel like you're in a restaurant within Japan. I have been here a few times and it is always a nice time. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. My go to order is the spicy miso ramen soup with no meat. I order the extra noodles when I'm in a silly mood (which is most of the time) and more so for the delicious taste of them. They are also accommodating if you do not want a particular item in your soup. You can choose to have items removed or if you prefer to have them on the side. The overall size of the restaurant is small however, it definitely feels cozy at least for me. Usually we have a seat at a table however it was full so we were sat at the bar area. i ordered 2 sushi trays on doordash which comes with 3 rolls each. i think the price is good for the quantity. i ordered one tray with the crunchy spicy roll, the habanero roll & the volcano roll. i forget what my boyfriend ordered on the other tray but he didn't enjoy his sushi. mine was decent but they weren't as spicy as i was hoping. for the habanero roll it was mostly only spicy on the side salad that comes with the roll, rather than the roll itself. read more

Every time I go I usually get my regular role and a new one to try every role there is, so far all of the ones I've tried have been hits ! The waiters/waitresses are pretty quick with bringing water and menus, and coming back to take orders. Sushi comes out pretty quickly, but cooked food tends to take quite a bit longer. Sometimes, it will take 10 extra minutes, sometimes 30. FOOD: I have gotten the honey walnut roll, teriyaki dinner, oyako donburi, and the katsu donburi, and the katsu donburi is definitely my favorite. Don't expect the pork katsu to be crunchy still, it is drenched in the sauce and still yummy. For the katsu donburi, the egg is more like an onsen egg laid on top, while the oyako donburi has chicken pieces and scrambled eggs throughout. The honey walnut roll was also good, I really enjoyed the candied walnuts. For appetizers, I have had the potato croquette multiple times, and it is very crunchy and smooth. I tried to place an order over the phone, and the young lady seemed a bit short with me, like I caught her at a bad time. Maybe she was just busy. I told her I'd come in since I was in my car in the parking lot. Then the same woman approached to take my order, but when I started to order, she stopped me and asked, "Did you just call?" I said yes and asked why. I was planning to place a lunch order for my 35 employees, but because of her poor customer service, I only ordered a roll and then went to another sushi spot. Our first time visit and we're impressed. Very intimate, cozy dining room. We took two of the sushi bar of about 6-8 seats. Ordering is with a small computer tablet the staff brings. Simply poke out the stuff you want n send the order. We had the lunch 6 nigiri omakase that comes with a CA roll, small house salad and miso soup to which I added uni. My wife wanted a CA hand roll but wasn't on the menu. A simple request to the chef and we're set. The hand roll had a fresh crab option and since it's crab season, no brainer. This. Was. Real. Fresh. Crab. No foolin' delicious. Surprised that cucumber isn't a standard in the California rolls at many places nowadays and the same here. Just ask for it if that's ur thing, no prob I'm sure. Nigiri fish slabs are very generous, fresh and quite flavorful. The uni was outstanding! Looked to be Santa Barbara by the size and flavor of the lobes. Hokkaido uni is typically smaller and more earthy. This was quite sweet. They have a small Japanese beer list, some sakes and a wine or two. The execution and flavors are VERY good here. Looking fwd to our next stop to explore the special rolls list that looked phenomenal. Stuffed to the brim, we headed out to Caymus Suisun to digest with glass of bubbles in the sun.
