I'm a sucker for buffet. Especially when I visit a new area, I'm always thinking I'm gonna find the local gem. Well Hibachi Grill Buffet is not a gem but it's definitely a local favorite for sure. There were lots of people coming and going on a Friday around 1pm. Total price for 2 people plus tips was $45. The space is huge with even more seating in the back that they had closed off. Food is steadily being cooked from the kitchen. There is a hibachi grill where you can pick your own beef or chicken and vegetables. Sadly this wasn't too tasty and I thought the beef was cut way too thick for grilling. The sushi section was also a fail. Everything was a Frankenstein type of roll made with the same basic fake imitation crab. The fried section looked tempting but didnt actually taste good. Desserts were very basic and nothing that $5 Safeway deals can't get you. Service and people were very nice and they were great about cleaning plates and maintaining a clean environment. There were a few hot items that I liked so I mainly just stuck to those things. Check out my pics and videos for all of their offerings. My favorite was the "scallion chicken stirfry" which actually tasted authentic and the bbq chicken was also pretty tasty. For the price, it's fair but not something I would go to again.

My family and I stopped by Hibachi Grill & Buffet a few weeks ago. Although everyone in my group had been there before, it was my first time. It was a pretty standard Asian buffet, but I appreciated how they had some options for sushi and made-to-order hibachi. There was nothing memorable about the food, but nothing was awful. The establishment is a solid option for an Asian buffet. Hibachi Grill & Buffet is located in the shopping center across from Solano Mall on Gateway Boulevard. There is plenty of free parking for customers shared among the businesses. We came in on a weekday during dinner and they were pretty busy. Definitely seems like a popular place in the area. Service was friendly and efficient. Tables were bused frequently and staff seemed to be monitoring the buffet well to keep things clean and make sure there weren't a bunch of empty entrees. The made-to-order hibachi was my favorite thing there. Warm and right off the grill. Several seafood options and a decent variety of various dishes for different palettes. I would return to Hibachi Grill & Buffet in the future. Pricing was fair and the food was okay.

Very organized and clean. Food typical buffet Like the lychees and the senior discount over 60 years old. You completely serve yourself in drinks and utensils, etc unlike other places Nice location

Good food and quick reloads by staff! Good flavors and they have ice cream! Broccoli beef to sushi is nice. The place is clean and they are on top of spills or counters that are dirty. It is not the best quality but it is good. Tried frog legs and crawfish here for the first time and enjoyed both. Pops had the Mongolian bbq and it was meh at best but the chicken sticks are fire and there is a bunch of fried things. Looking forward to going back soon!

We have eaten here for many many times already and not a single moment we felt discriminated or outcasted.. The Manager and the whole staff are all friendly and awesome.. Food is clean and fresh, appearance as always is clean, organized buffet, a staff always makes sure food is in right temperature and refilled.. Only hope that they can add more new dishes.. Otherwise everything as always and as usual is perfect...

I'm always in the mood for buffet. First time here and it was on the way home from Sacramento so we stopped by for a weekday lunch. We came right before opening and that is the best time to come so you get first dibs on fresh cooked food and prepared sushi. It was good to see some new items that are not available at other buffets. But most dishes are standard like other Chinese buffets. Fountain drinks, coffee, and tea are included in the price. The place is bright, spacious and clean. The buffet area is in the middle of the room and towards the back. Booths and tables to the front and left side so you're not close to people's behinds lol. They had a lot of staff working on the floor so maybe that's how they are able to keep the place clean and tidy. I might not get a chance to come here often but good to know there is a buffet I can come back to if I'm in the area.

The service is very attentive, the food was good. Many selections to choose from- your general Chinese food, American, Sushi and more. They had some seafood. Your average Asian Buffet. We had a group of 12 and was seated within 20mins. They are hard at work, bussing, loading up food back to back, restocking etc. Fun, busy environment. Only downfall was the rancid smell of the bathrooms, but hey what do u expect - it's a bathroom.

I love this place. We had an issue with the payment on how they charge us but the staff was able to fix it. We came on a weekday late afternoon for the dinner buffet and the place was quiet, spacious, plenty of tables and chairs, staff was friendly, a lot of foods I like including the sushi, siomai, different kinds of chicken, fish, seafoods, salads, pastries and cakes, ice cream, drinks. Too many to mention, some I don't remember the names. Worth the price and experience to eat variety of foods. I will come back again!

The food ranged from 3 star to 4 star depending what was picked/eaten. The place charges $24.99 per adult. Service was quick with seating + collecting finished plates. The restaurant is clean and presentable. I had heard about this place which is why I stopped by after coming from the casino (could have stopped to eat @ a different restaurant casino but didn't want to get tired.) I almost rated this 3 stars but there so many redeeming things about it that I decided to go with 4 stars.

    Dog in dining room.

I've eaten here before and it was fine, but today was a disaster. While the food itself was good, everything else was unacceptable. The dining room was overheated and filled with a strong chemical stench, which completely ruined the experience. No one should be eating while breathing in cleaning chemicals. Management either doesn't understand or doesn't care about basic comfort and safety. Temperature control and chemical use during service should be common sense. To make things worse, they allowed a pet dog in the dining room -- not a service animal. That's a serious health violation and completely inappropriate for a restaurant. This place needs to get its act together before worrying about anything else.

I had high expectation when I visited as a friend once told me the Hibachi in the Sacramento area was good. I understand this is not Sacramento but I thought they're one company so standard must be the same. Came on a weekday during lunch so there was not a lot of people compared to their big space.Clean tables, buffet area, even the restroom. Taste??? I will not come back... I mean, it's not bad... it was okay... just "okay". It did not give me a reason to want to come back. Some food were also mislabeled, so when there was a couple of times when I was expecting something to be savory and they end up to be sweet and yes, they were in the section where the proteins are. One of my favorite in buffets are the mongolian noodles... they had that there...beef was hard. Not too much choices to add on your noodles.

The setup was pretty interesting with tables on the side and a conveyor belt with the center where the chefs are working and seating lined around that. The staff were kind and helpful in explaining how it all worked being that it was all you can eat. First, there is a menu where you can place orders with the staff for things like appetizers and drinks. We got some sodas and ordered items such as edamame, miso soup and grilled salmon teriyaki. Then in the center where the conveyor belt is, you can walk around to it and pick up plates that you want to try. It mostly seemed like nigiri and rolls that they were commonly making. In the center, the chef station is between the conveyor belt area and there you can order more specific items you want to try like a roll, sashimi or handrolls. We chose to order some different sashimi like salmon and yellowtail and handrolls like the spider and alaska. They also make a bunch of extra dishes that you can take off the shelf as well. For the price and the experience, we thought it was very enjoyable from the multitude of options to the freshness of the items.

We'd always only gone for their lunch menu before, but we were really craving sushi and sashimi last night, so we thought Fuji would be the best place to go since we were starving!! We noticed that the dinner menu wasn't that much different from the lunch. Seems like only a handful of items are added, so we still made sure to try some of those dinner-only items. One was the Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab, and it was absolutely delicious! The whole thing was edible, so there was no need to de-shell the crab, and the tempura batter was nice and crispy. The crab also didn't taste fishy at all. I also liked that they served it with a tempura dipping sauce on the side because it helped refresh the dish and cut back on the greasiness a little bit. Another thing I was really super curious to try was the Smoked Salmon. I did order it, but I think the guy working at the sashimi section misheard me and ended up giving me regular salmon instead - boo! I wanted to go back and order more later, but by that point I was already really full, so I decided not to be greedy. Other than that, everything else was pretty much the same as the lunch offerings. In general, my brother and I really like this place. It's definitely our go-to spot when it comes to all you can eat sushi and sashimi. My brother and I love getting a huge plate of sashimi with a variety of fish like Salmon, Yellowtail, Mackerel, and even Unagi too. For the price, it's very affordable as you pay a flat price and can order everything off the menu. There's no extra charge for sashimi either which I found that all other ayce sushi places do and even with the extra charge for sashimi at other places, their sashimi is often small and the quality is low or just poorly prepared. At Fuji, the sashimi is always consistent and they provide great cuts and variety of sashimi like salmon, eel, tuna, mackerel, and more. I love that it's already included as part of the price and there's no hidden or extra fees. The rolls taste great as well! You can easily grab the rolls from the shelf where they put the freshly made rolls or if you don't see the rolls you want, you can ask the sushi chefs to make them. Personally, I find it more worth it to ask the sushi chefs for sashimi, hand rolls, and the aburi (seared) salmon which is my personal favorite here lol. For the appetizers, you need to order with the waiters but luckily they're very quick and attentive! The fried oyster is really good. The space itself is pretty large and you'll either be seated at a table or at the bar but if you're able to choose, definitely go with the bar! The bar includes the rotating conveyor belt which often has salmon nigiri and other small dishes which makes it more convenient to sit there. This review has been long overdue tbh but I've been here enough times and the quality, consistency, variety, and price is what makes me keep coming back!

We saw them being advertised on FB for weekend buffet at La Doña .. trying to get the word out, gatekeeping feels wrong....Hoping these reviews generate more foot traffic! Hits for me were their in-house tortillas and some smack verde chiliquiles! The fam enjoyed all their protein selection, pork chili verde, chicken fajitas, carne asada...their refried beans are so good: thick, creamy and powerfully flavorful with that lard/porky essence, along side some aromatic fluffy rice! There's chorizo and eggs, my daughter devoured along w/ some pineapple jello! Hubby liked their chicken mole and steak rancheros! They even offered a bread pudding w/ a flan topping...so yummy!
